I have to say, I'm liking how early we're sorting things out so far this year and the fact that we're getting very good players in positions that need strengthening. Just need a LW, CM and CF along with a young CF for backup and we're good I think!

Can't see us getting a LW with Pritchard being offered more game time, my suspicions are that he would be the back up to chandi.
Agree with the cm (I was hoping for Cabaye, but looks like e's going to Palace). That said: mason, dembele, Benny, stambouli and Alli fighting it out for 2 spots, so may be tough to argue for 1 more.
Think bobby soldier will go and we'll replace him with some experience (Llorente/Hernandez?). We'll keep ade (or rather he'll stay).
Hopefully move on Kaboul, chireche's and Lennon.
If levy can get rid of Ade, I will upgrade him to God status.

I heard a whisper that Soldado wasn't playing yesterday due to a move to Athletico Madrid being finalised.

1.) Some way or another he has to be heading out of the lane. He doesn't start, doesn't even seem to come on from the bench, we need to get rid of some players, he must have a high wage bill and there seem to be offers for him on the table. I would love it if he suddenly burst into life and stayed at the lane but I think that it's probably best for all involved to just cut the losses
2.) If we let Soldado go he will start nagging left right and centre. we need to stop playing negative one up front formations. the game on sat could have been any game from the AVB/Sherwood debacle

Willian medical this afternoon. Signed and ready to slot in and start on Sunday against Swansea.
1.) Dom, Where did you get this info from.? How would he sign prior to a medical. I hope it's true.

That well known TV sports information channel are reporting is, plus it's everywhere that I've searched.
I don't pretend to have inside sources or anything, but I can only think that if there are THAT many reports saying this is the case, there has to be some truth behind it.
4.) Stop panicking Willian is a Spurs player. Medicals can take a few days sometimes. Be Patient.

Just read that we're currently discussed personal terms with Villa over his move and that everything has been agreed with Barcelona? Is this true? He has looked lively again during the Conf Cup, and I think, with AVB he can have that real hunger for football again!

Disappointed that we didn't get anyone, but we have sorted out left back. We have stronger centre backs, we have cover for right back, Lamela is like a new signing, rose playing well, Kane finding the net, chadli doing well too. Soldado still got to get game time, stronger keeper cover, stambouli looks a decent signing. Gutted about the beast, but injuries have hampered him. Not sure why holtby went as I thought he would be a great squad player. So we have lloris, dier, fazio, vertonghen, Davies, stambouli, Capoue, Lamela, Eriksen, chadli, kane/ soldado. That's a good starting 11. I still have faith. COYS

Totally agree Dom, our main issue/frustration was our shape and defence last year. We got a coach with a vision, we strengthened across our back line and didn't spend ridiculous amounts to do it. Look at dier and faz, and compare them in value to the likes of shaw, Lovren, luis, chambers and alike. I can see another attacking option in Jan but a good team starts at the back and we could do with some stability.

3.) That's because Ponch doesn't have any options . I don't see Morgan, jay R, etc in the squad, players that Ponch wanted as well . Once again we made a profit, exactly how levy and Lewis like it . Face facts, money is more important than PL position . Our chairman is the only one who never sees that you have to spend each year to keep progressing, not huge amounts but regular spending . One bad injury to a forward and we are up rubbish creek!

Davo - we brought in 6 new players and removed some passed their best. We've strengthened the squad.
Most teams only have 3 forwards these days. We may yet see the best of soldado, ade is playing well and poch must see something good in Kane who is playing well and scoring. I really don't understand all the negativity. Jay Rod might come in January when he's over his current injury. What's the point in buying him now? As for schiederlin, soton didn't want to sell him so your point about missing targets and levy failing us isn't valid. I feel the squad has progressed in this transfer window and is much more balanced.

Harry Kane has signed a new 5 year contract. Make of that what you will. Don't think he's ever going to be a world beater, but has shown he can find the back of the net.
1.) Levy is really going for it this year
2.) Just levy's way of trying to add a few £££'s onto their value. If any decent offer comes in they will be sold. Happens all the time, players sign new contracts then sold within months. Vera signed a new contract with United end of last season and then signed for Juve weeks later
3.) An Intersting move cause I didn't see his name in the Europa squad for the qualifier.

Thoughts on the new kit anyone? I don't think it's half bad. I'm a fan of the away shirt for sure! Still at £50 a pop for the short sleeved, I think it's a bit pricey. Won't stop me from getting one, but it's still a lot of money!

Away shirt is ok, bit different. Absolutely no excuse for these to go up in price, it's enough that they're changed every year now.

Have you ever known Spurs fans get behind a striker that didn't produce as much as we did Soldado. I really liked the guy and wanted it to work for him so much! I hope he can do it in La Liga again and gets back to the level he's capable of. Best of Luck Roberto!

I think Livermore was a small fish in a big pond with us until he went out on loan and I think you'll see a much improved player if we keep him. Sandro, as much as I love him, has made a lot of mistakes, his injuries worry me, and he slows the game down more than Paulinho. and at least Paulinho scores for us, which is something we need more of. Thankfully Ericksen was doing the job, but when he played, I was impressed with Paulinho. great energy, technically very good, great movement off the ball too. He reminds me a bit of Jermaine Jenas. You know, if Jenas was a better footballer. A very good athlete. And Capoue, I thought, looked solid and every bit as good as Sandro when he played before his injury.

Snodgrass scores goals, has a great engine and looked extremely dangerous whenever he got on the ball. Let's not forget how much damage he did to us. I think Hangeland could be a great addition to the squad. especially on a free. He is more reliable than Daws.
