Why is it taking so long to appoint a new coach? Surely Levy must have decided a while back that Sherwood would not be staying in fact a lot of us think he never had the slightest intention of Sherwood staying on.

How can we make transfer plans without a coach or manager and how is any potential player going to come to a club and not know who will be head coach.

Very worried the close season is going to drag on and on with no momentum and it will herald another wasted campaign of transition.

Why do you think Levy is so stand offish all the time surely he must see the Club is in turmoil whilst our neighbours and rivals mock us?

When do you think this wil be done?

{Ed002's Note - It was know n the day Sherwood signed his contract that it would only be to the summer. The club were torn between LvG and Pochettino. That has now been resolved. Spurs will I expect move for Pchettino in the next couple of weeks.}

1.) Expect De Boer.

2.) Any chance they have an eye on the happenings in Madrid and Ancellotti's future, before they make a commitment?

3.) I'm sorry but it looks like De Boer isn't happening. Although I would love to be wrong

4.) Spurski I like your confidence and hope your right. I believe they ajax just get back from their post season tour. So we will see shortly .

5.) I think De Boer is a better choice, a winner at every level as a player and a winner as a manager. Levy will go for Poch, which could be another one of his long line of mistakes.

Dear Spurs1985, this is a fans forum and if people want to express their dissatisfaction then that is their right. I have supported this Club for 40 years and I am telling you my friend that this is the worst team and the worst coach since we were relegated.
If you seriously believe that "time" will make any difference to the team that were out there today then dream on my friend.I pay a lot of my hard earned cash to support my team and I want to be entertained and I like many others have simply had enough. I have seen better football over the local Park. Those players are devoid of a shread of confidence and have not a clue what they are doing. No one wants the ball. And I am a senior project manager and managers lead from the front by example and by learning how to get the best out of their workforce/staff. I would suggest therefore that Mr Pochettino has neither the required skill or knowledge to do so. And before you go off slagging Sir Alan Sugar you might do well to remember that it was him and Terry Venables that saved our Club after Irving scholar tried to bankrupt the Club

Chris, yes of course it is their right so let me say my piece then my friend. I was just putting across the other side of the argument, which when times are bad people fail to see.

Really the worst you've seen since we were relegated? Did you completely miss the Ramos era then? We are currently 4 points off of 4th place, yes that is all! Not really the disaster people on here claim, is it? When Ramos was in charge we couldn't buy a win so I think you may need to reconsider your comment there mate! The worst coach, really? After just over 3 months you honestly believe you have the right to that claim? Seriously? So much for giving the manager the time he needs to build his project. But that said may I again remind you of a Spanish guy who took the reins at the lane and almost got us relegated, yes that guy Ramos again. Think again you may want to reconsider your comment.

Yes I seriously do think time will help, as removing the bad mentality not to mention the destructive personalities in the team will take time. More than just 4 months I may add. How do I know this? Well it's simple, because as a manager myself I get sent to different parts of the country to turn around failing depots. The reason I have been entrusted with this job is because I'm a good manager. Now on my current project I'm also just over 3 months in and things are still bleak. The negative attitudes are still there and the depot has stagnated but the "rot" is slowly being removed. Now would it be fair for them to say to me I'm all of a sudden no good because I don't pocess a magic wand? Of course not THESE THINGS TAKE TIME.

Excuse me my friend but is it not your prerogative to spend your hard earned cash in this way, nobody forces your hand so if you don't like it don't waste your money it really is that simple. I couldn't care less if you've supported them for 1 day or 100 years it makes no difference, the club owes you nothing as you choose to follow our wonderful club.

No your right they seem clueless, some uninterested and unable to do the basics. This comes back to be given time, Mopo needs to assess the players who will fit his system, will fight for the club and then keep those players together to get a better understanding (as with so many changes over the last few years the pieces to our puzzle do not fit correctly). Mopo requires his team to be at a certain level fitness wise for his system to be effective, that will take time you don't believe he deserves. The players need to get used to running for a full 90mins at full tempo then we will see what our "worst" coach in years is capable of. Atleast give him the chance to fail though.

I didn't stag him off as I support my team regardless, through thick and thin. My point was simply do you think we would've been better of had Lord Sugar not sold up? Don't kid yourself when answering that question my friend.

Lastly, you said "managers lead from the front by learning" well give him more than 5 mins to learn then please. Rome wasn't built in a day!

Kristeva, if you would like to join a adult conversation then you need to think about your words a little better. Because if you don't agree with my comments think of a decent argument to my comments then respond in a mature way instead of making yourself sound like a five year old. Many thanks.

4.) These are, for the most part, highly paid international players - we are 3 months into the season, how long does it take them to get fit?

MoPo needs to rethink his tactics cause this group doesn't look to committed to his philosphy. Maybe, we are paying the price of too many managers and the players realise he will likely be gone before them. After all Levy isn't exactly known for backing his managerial choices.

5.) Yellow card, if Mopo doesn't know his best team after 3 months of the season, how long does he want . My complaint about him is that he changes so many bloody players each game, and like the previous two managers, plays players out of position all the time . I am all for giving him time, bit Mopo, grow some balls, stand up to Levy and sort out the dressing room!

What is going on at our Club? Nothing seems right or feels right, its like having a nagging toothacre.

The Players don't seem right. how did these guys suddenly become average footballers?

The Coach does nt seem right. he does nt look right, the body language the whole thing. our tenth coach in twelve years

The atmosphere is not right. being at WHL these days is just weird, I go every game with a sense of dread, it's just not fun anymore or even exciting. I come away every match feeling depressed angry and helpless.

How have we got to this, it just seems like whoever the Coach is makes no odds it just gets worse and worse on the pitch.

I should be happy that we beat Villa but I'm not.

Anyone out there tell me what is going to happen? Because I have a real bad bad feeling about this season

I think Pochettino is frustrated that the players haven't adapted to his system yet and this shows because some players look totally lost especially when we have been losing.

You have to stop beating yourselves up like this every week.

Facts

1 Daniel Levy will never resign. The owner wants the club sold he has had enough and not interested in the Club. Their plan was to build the Stadium and get rid but that is now delayed so how can we possibly second guess their strategy except to be sure of one thing.it does not involve spending substantial money on players
2. We spent the Bale money on frankly a bunch of 2nd rate players', the money was squandered most likely by Baldini but we will never know. Net balance in that seasons transfer window virtually Nil. This season ditto. And made worse by the fact that the one potential attacking playmaker we had Sigurdsson we sold back to Swansea!Neither AVB nor Sherwood gave him the proper run he needed.
3. On our day, if they turn up with the right frame of mind we are capable of giving 90% of the Prem a game but the plain facts are that this squad is ill balanced lacks flair and no genuine pace.
4 We are stuck with this Coach, sacking another coach will get us nowhere, these players are simply not up for it or most of them. My gut feeling is that Baldini was behind these buys so of course he should go but that is up to Levy what is certain is that the only chance we have of avoiding a mediocre future in the short term is for Levy to back the manager and let him try and buy the players he wants
5 It must be crystal clear that no team in the Premiership is interested in any one of our squad bar Lloris, Kane and likely Mason, the others will never fetch the money that Levy paid out and Levy being lecy cannot come to terms with that, when what he should do is get rid at any price just to clear the decks
6 If it were my call, I would get ALL our very promising talent back off Loan and ship this lot out. At least the youngsters might show a bit of passion.
7 What is a major concern is that whatever is happening on the training ground is not translated on the pitch. I keep reading about the fitness regime etc etc. Let me tell you Spurs Fans if you thought 5-1 was a fair result think on. Asteris were quicker, faster and wanted it more, the difference was Lloris and an isolated moment of skill from Lamela, at 2 nil that game could have gone either way if Lloris had not made some smart saves.
7/8 I forget but one thing I can tell you fellow Spurs fans is this. IF YOU DON'T STOP BARRACKING AND BOOING THIS TEAM WILL DROP LIKE A STONE EVERYWEEK I HEAR OUR RUBBISH SUPPORT OUTSUNG AND CHEERED BY JUST ABOUT EVERY VISITING GROUP OF SUPPORTERS YOU WOULD THINK WE WERE PLAYING AWAY!!

I have to agree to your post as I think that there is a problem within this great club I have followed for over 41 years.I very really go to the Lane these days as the fans? do not support the team as the fans who go to away games do, our fans on the road I believe are the best in the league and if you look at the stats are best performances have come away from home in the last 3 seasons so that says everything for me and that is why I go to away games these days as the atmosphere at the Lane is so bad.I hope things change over the rest of the season but I am not holding my breath.

2.) I was saying to my mate to give some of the youngsters a chance,

We have far too many players who do not want to play for the club and the fans. They are playing for moves to different clubs or for their wages

Bring in Velkovic at the back Pritchard to name a few who have been proven youngsters at a lower level.

Start Kane week in week out. He is the best we have and at least he has the right ethic and will score goals.

I didn't want to see dawson stay but at least players like him and holtby had heart and played for the club.

Some very good Posts on here and I totally agree. Yesterday was the worst performance I have seen since the home game v Hammers last season.

I tell you what got me yesterday, don't know if any of you guys saw it. when the substitutions were made. The players going off were high fiving it with the bench!! like "good job guys well done"

And people on here dug Tom Sherwood out for digging out these players in public?

We are angry and fed up with this. Levy and Baldini and ENIC need to go. Its no point in blaming the coach, we have had several coaches, We have lost count.

Redknapp got lucky with Bale Modric and VDV.

Gareth, you have won the Champions League, you have played for Real Madrid so any chance you can come back in the Jan window please.

Because this squad is only going one place any time soon and that is the Championship!

Sorry. I am missing something obviously? You are all getting excited about signing a player who has an ACL injury and cannot take a medical? We got a misfiring striker and another who is now liable to get malaria anytime and will still likely go ACN and we are all thinking that this is OK? Obviously I am on the wrong planet. We need Bony so why and the Italian guy Destro Soldado and Adeybayor ain't going to cut it and 99.9% of you know that so why are we getting excited about JR? And when is it likely he'll be fighting fit again and idea or update on that?

1.) Adebayor will go to the ACN but obviously if we sign bony then he's not going to the ACN? well he is, so we'd be in the same position come january. j-rod is a QUALITY signing, COYS :)

2.) Adebayor has retired from Togo has he not?

3.) Didn't ade come out of international retirement? Also isn't the asking price for Bony 24 million? If your saying go get him at that price you must be on glue!

Rodriguez is young and talented, yes coming back from serious injury but hopefully will mean the price tag is more reasonable and if Poch wants him why not?

Schneiderlin will be a good signing if we get him although 20m seems expensive.

I can see why Poch would go for these guys, both play used to playing in his system so transition will be accelerated.

I think we just need to trust our new manager with an emphasis on TIME!

4.) Is Jay Rodriguez a quality signing.?

He only produced last season, the season before he scored 6 goals.
Personally I'm not convinced, I hope he proves me wrong obviously providing we sign him.

5.) I guess its a question of if you support the manager and his plan. Obviously JRod fits and performed within that plan, when fit.

6.) I agree to a certain extent YC but is everyone not getting a bit ahead of themselves, Poch is record is not great he again had 1 good season at Southampton only won 36% of games at Espanyol.

I'm backing him all the way but I honestly think fans are thinking he's going to work wonders.

7.) I guess it depends on your expectations. I expect us to finish somewhere between 5th-7th this coming season. There is simply too much to do to re-establish the team and then push on for Top 4 in my opinion.

Yes we have a lot of typical Spurs getting carried away - MoPo has done very little as a manager so far. Yes he may bring us some more attractive football (hopefully) but, he has no experience when it comes to our level of top 4-6 and, we need to see how the system works for us anyway.
We're all supporting him but I'm not proclaiming him as the saviour and chosen one just yet and I think our track record says as much about why as his does!
As for signing a player with a torn cruciate - ridiculous given our aspirations as fans but shows the level of our board's willingness to match them for a while. Stadium and balance sheet are the priorities.

9.) I agree with you YC hopefully we can finish 5th - 7th & push on next season, I personally think Liverpool & Everton will struggle with the additional European games this season like we have of late, Manchester United will be a totally different team this year, I expect them to be in the top 3 this season as I can see them making a few more top signings before the window closes

Well carry on patiently waiting my friend because Levy ain't buying no one. Even West Ham are moving ahead of us by the looks it is totally depressing all or rivals are snapping up the cream of the crop.

We need to start a campaign to get rid of Levy and Baldini.

The squad we have will be mid table at best, not enough cover not enough class players.

As for Vertongen, he is a petulant spoilt guy who is not interested At least Levy can do what he is good at ripping the backside of clubs like Barca.

Maybe he can negotiate Messi plus cash LOL

Well let's just and see then. There are plenty of positions that need sorting in our team plenty but you think Levy is going to market when you have the likes of Forest suggesting they want over £5 mil for a young centre back who has not long been in the Championship. I must have seen our name linked with 30 players so far. I would love to be wrong but unless we start shipping out the dross it is not going to happen

Guys there are not going to be any major signings. I truly believe we won't sign anyone at all this window. All the players we are linked with. Its smoke and mirrors, smoke and mirrors.

The Argentine has been told straight, we have the squad, we have the Youth get on and coach them and that's the top and bottom of it.

If Levy spends it will only be peanuts and only whatever he gets in sales out . We might have bought the young full back from Swansea but Levy ain't going to pay no £12 mil now they have upped the anti no way will he.

There is no way that Levy is going to admit they screwed up on the gang of seven, he believes they are all good players who will come good under the right coach.

As for Ericksen. Enjoy because he will be gone next season 15/16 hopefully not to the Gooners

Mgr Totally agree with you 100%. Rafa in Baldini Out, simple . job done a proven winner. After what he did at Chelsea he would be a saviour for us. And Mr Levy justy in case any of your mates read this can we please offer Chelsea £20 mil for Ashley Cole? He has two good years left in him and we need a proper Captain a leader on the pitch, let's get in now before he gets nabbed. and don't sell Paulinho. he will come back to haunt us if you do.

Lots of negative about TS and I can't understand the attitude.

At the end of the day he is the coach and he has a team of guys. He has a lot to learn I accept that. So what is wrong in bringing the younger players through how are they going to get experience? Look at Bale, he was a nightmare most of his time at Spurs but we kept faith with him.

Carroll deserves his chance and the young lad at Millwall who my Lions mate tells me has done so well. Fryers, Livermore Pritchard, we have talent but it has to be brought on otherwise we never going to find out if these guys have what it takes?

We can't keep on shelling out for players who are just no good.

I want a manager like Sherwood, who does nt keep his mouth shut who gets stuck in. I work hard to buy my ticket and I think I deserve better. As far as I am concerned Verts is not interested let him go to City or Liverpool and screw them for £60 mil or more and loris, he is over rated big time. We should get Krul.

Rose, we tried him and he's a liability let him go. Really don't think Naughton has got it and totally agree about BAE .

We do have a lot of great talent but we have to take a chance.

Moyes would be a total and complete disaster. WHY WHY WHY is Levy considering this guy. When did they ever finish above us up til now.

I am so sick of this Club being run by someone who has no concept of what type of person is needed and keeps appointing men woefully not skilled enough.

You know what, I would rather have Tony Pullis manage our team that Moyes or any of the others being mentioned at least we would stop leaking goals week after week!
