Hi ed, any truth in us signing Konoplyanka before the window is over, his contract is up at the end of the season and I also heard jackson martinez will join us in the summer?

LoreKin

{Ed002's Note - Wolfsburg, Roma, Spurs, Shakhtar and Bayer Leverkusen have shown recent interest in Konoplyanka who is able to sign a pre-contract. Spurs will test the waters with a bid for the player to move in January - this may attract bids from others, noticably Roma. Dnipro are happy to let him run down his contract.

Porto are prepared to cash in on Jackson Martinez with varying degrees of interest from Valencia, Inter, Arsenal, Roma, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Spurs, Galatasaray, Juventus and Barcelona in teh past year. However, whilst Porto will seek his full release clause of 40M euro but would likely need to settle for less (€36M for want of a number). Much will change by the summer.}

Hey eds, are spurs close to completing a deal for this window? A wide player or a central midfielder perhaps?
And any idea where our situation lies regaurding offloading Lennon, kaboul, capoue, ade? Many thanks in advance!

{Ed002's Note - The club would certainly like to move a couple of players or so on - Adebayor and Paulinho are the obvious ones I have mentioned before. Wages make the sale of Adebayor very difficult. There is some interest in Paulinho from Italy - but the price of the player is high. Spurs have spoken to WBA about Berahino and WBA have asked for two players in exchange - and that may still be possible. Lennon has attracted interest from WBA, Hull and QPR and something may yet happen. There is interest Delph - and Aston Villa will encourage Liverpool and Spurs to move now rather than wait until the summer when his contract expires. An offer could still be made for Konoplyanka to test the water but Dnipro will let his contract run down and try to convince him to renew. Spurs could look to a pre-contract. Interest in Andre Ayew, Dele Alli and Rabiot has gone (at least for now). A long way to go yet and do not be surprised if there is a Bacca or Higuain bid in the summer - as a replacement for Soldado. Onazi and Zaza have been looked at and don't discount a bid for Jay Rodriguez when he is fit. Doria was discussed with Spurs but it will go nowhere. Fede Cartabia is a player that Spurs are keeping a watchful eye on - again, perhaps a summer bid.}

2.) 25 Jan 2015 11:13:38
Thanks ed!

3.) 25 Jan 2015 13:15:35
Eds, rumours regarding bids for central defenders for January seem to have died down is there any January interest? Does it depend on shifting Kaboul or someone do you think?

{Ed002's Note - It is not out of the question that Spurs may look to bringing in a centre back with the club having considered Winston Reid. I am also aware that whilst discussing another player with the club, a representative of Marseille and Spurs discussed N'Koulou.}

4.) 25 Jan 2015 13:42:46
So no major moves in jan? Like Depay?

{Ed002's Note - PSV's Memphis Depay has attracted interest from a number of clubs with Manchester City, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Spurs, Marseille and Manchester United looking to see of a deal can be struck this past summer. Marseille signed Batshuayi and dropped their interest in Depay and UEFA sanctions will block any move from Manchester City before next summer. Newcastle and Spurs are known to still keeping an eye on the player with Manchester United and Everton being suggested as possible destinations as well. Someone very knowledgeable about football in the Netherlands has suggested that a move to Newcastle would suit Depay better than the likes of Real Madrid or the Manchester sides as he would need a couple of years to establish himself in the first team and sitting on the bench will not help him at all. He has also advised against a move to Spurs, and his views are well enough thought of to likely remove them from being an option for the player himself.}

5.) 25 Jan 2015 15:39:41
Thanks Ed! I'm probably just getting jittery that spurs aren't re enforcing and could throw away their season and not get anywhere!

6.) 26 Jan 2015 21:39:01
Ed002, can you elaborate on 'his views' that would make a spurs move unlikely?

We have watched him alot, Paul Mitchell has already watched him twice so there is strong interest.

{Ed002's Note - Spurs are certainly interested but the concern is that it would not help his career if he moved to London. I would think the fear would be that he would languish in the reserves.}

7.) 27 Jan 2015 16:58:16
So he can be convinced if promised playtime! Just hoping

8.) 29 Jan 2015 05:05:57
Can't promise him first team football if he's not playing well enough though, what kind of message would that send out to the rest of the players? You get time on the pitch by merit alone is a better signal to our players. Will give the youngsters more drive and determination. COYS!

LoreKin

1.) 03 Nov 2014 21:16:04
thanks for the reply

2.) Lol bro there's no way that's happening! Although i'd love it to, it isn't just logical considering the many wingers we have and the inverted wingers we tend to play

what I would do is sell ade chriches and townsend
and get in

Falleni 10-15 mil
clyne 5-10 mil
doumbia 15 mil

that would be perfect.

i know we need a cb but we did buy fazio who may have been a mistake which we need to deal with till the end of the season.

LoreKin

1.) Fazio looks like a solid defender, the question mark is over his suitability in a high line defense. But once Walker returns, assuming at similar pace to pre-injury, he will be able to cover much like he did with Dawson.

2.) You will not get clyne for 10m and why buy him then want walker back?

3.) 25 Nov 2014 22:53:05
Plus we have Yedlin coming soon.

4.) 26 Nov 2014 02:39:34
kyle walker is over rated had one good season. makes too many mistakes plus yedlin is young not proven we need a right back asap, we need a striker like doumbia some one who can run at defnders and take shots

5.) And Clyne is what! Another player with only a couple of seasons good experience . Looks good in a team that's playing well together, but then so did Lambert and Devren ( sorry if spelling is wrong ) . When fit, and not having to cover for Daws all the time, Walker is one of the best right backs in the PL by far!

6.) 26 Nov 2014 16:18:09
lol one of the best by far that don't make sense. Ivanovic , zabaleta are twice the player kyle walker is. you must not know much about football. and any one whos does not believe bringing in doumbia, felleni and clyne for ade, townsend and chiriches will make us much strongeris mad

7.) So you have named two, which I agree with, any more on your FIFA game you sit and play

8.) 27 Nov 2014 15:21:33
No I think Walker and Yedlin are enough. We also have Fredericks to come back aswell as Kaboul who can play there.

Why would we want Fellaini?

9.) Spurski, why do we want Kaboul? Let's stick with 3 RB's . Kaboul is dangerous enough as CB!

10.) 27 Nov 2014 22:24:57
He is just an option.

11.) 28 Nov 2014 13:31:34
coleman, Azpilicueta, clyne zabaleta ivanovic even glen johnsen when his fit are all better right back. I think you forget how much he has cost us I could make a monatge video.

12.) 28 Nov 2014 13:33:23
lol kyle walker is a great rb in fifa. you must not watch much od spurs davo to state his the best right back in the prem

13.) Well if you rate glen Johnson a better right back than Walker, don't lose your white stick, will you!

21 Jul 2014 14:52:21
do we not have any top class scouts.
everone can see that we need a striker if we have a chance of getting in to the top 4.
and a striker that scores goals would be nice.

Destro scored 19 in 42 games he will be the biggest mistake

Doumbia scored 18 in 22 league game last year he is a beast and exactlly what we need in a striker.
any chance or is no one trying to buy him cause he will cost to much?

LoreKin

1.) 21 Jul 2014 15:29:25
Totally disagree. Destro plays in a harder league for starters. Surely Bony would be a better option than Doumbia.

{Ed008's Note - I rate Destro highly for me a better striker then Bony and Doumbia but he's been injury prone the last few years..

i don't understand why we want de bour. Yes he won the league 4 x in a row, but if you look at ajax stats there top goal scorer had 11 goals, so if its goals what we need surely its a mistake to bring de bour. anthor avb

So soldado scores against Cardiff and our manager drops him for the next 2 games! Great manager! We go round in circles get in a proper manager like van gal if he can't do it no one can,

LoreKin

1.) This I agree makes no sense. No sense what so ever. And to sit so Kane can start? Err I think Tim just lost Soldado's support.

06 Mar 2014 16:26:06
man u will get van gaal leaving us short like always.
