Well todays dismal result settled a few issues. Most obviously we aren't getting CL this year. The realists among us have known this for a while but today it became crystal clear and to be honest it would be a travesty if we did, Liverpool are a far better team than us right now. Secondly Soldado has to go at the end of the season, whether he is a good player who just hasn't clicked at Spurs or a bad player he is contributing nothing to us at the moment. Thirdly Baldini and Levy have to go, our Summer transfer policy was a disaster, the stupidity of spending 100m on players without a single minute of PL experience between them has been exposed repeatedly, NONE of the signings have been a real success and Lamella and Soldado, the two most expensive have been truly disastrous (btw, don't believe this guff about Lamella being injured, it's a face saving move by club and player to say so, he has played his last game in a Spurs shirt and will be moved on in the summer for a substantial loss). Also the jury is still very much out on Sherwood as manager, things have improved under him but failing to win at places like Dnipro and Norwich don't fill me with confidence, also his tactics and team selection seem odd to say the least. Why play only 1 striker against a team like Norwich who have won 1 in 11, haven't scored for over 5 hours and who are shot on confidence? We should have got at them, an early goal would have been the beginning of a rout but instead we played a slow and listless game until we went behind. Also, why was our most creative player left on the bench for the entire duration of a game that was an absolute must win? 2 other big question marks against Tim are 1, His inability to consistently instill a sense of urgency in the team and his personic claim that despite Jermains departure, we didn't need to bring another striker in during the January transfer window, really Tim? because if Ade isn't scoring I don't see Soldado or Kane banging them in. All in all this season will go down as the lost opportunity in Spurs history, 100m spent well could have transformed us and cemented us as CL regulars but the Levy/Balsini transfer policy of buying young foreign players in the hope they will bloom and be sold on at big profits has blown up in our faces and set us back immeasurably. Sad but true.

1.) My only hope now is that we fail to qualify for the Europa next season . the number of games and amount of travel is not advantageous.

Taxi for Danny Rose, THAT goal against the Gunners aside he has never convinced me and giving such a stupid goal away in a massive game like today shows he hasn't really got it at the highest level.

He's no different than the rest of your squad

Pleased to see a reaction from the lads today. I must admit at some points last week I was looking at this fixture and thinking we could be on the wrong end of one again but imo if anyone deserved to win it was us.Having said that this now means we have played the "Big 4" in the PL and we have failed to beat any of them. AVB was brought in to get us beating teams like that and so far this season it is just not happening. I think AVB will be out in the Summer because I can;t see us finishing above MUFC, CFC, AFC or MCFC. AVB was brught in to get us CL and I don't think Levy will accept him spending 100m and failing to do that.

I can only presume Spurs1985 is the name Daniel Levy uses when he posts on here. Levy has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. He lucked out signing HR as manager when another one of his faddish foreign appointments (Ramos) proved a disaster, HR gets us top 4 finishes despite not spending much so what does Levy do? Well, sack him of course and appoint a manager was sacked after less than a season at Chelsea, brilliant. When Arsenal fans start referring to the Spurs chairman as "Agent Levy" and "Arsenal supporter of the year" I think it's fair to say he hasn't been a roaring success. Too obsessed with continental coaches and continental management structures (can somebody tell me where in the PL having a Director of Football has been a success?). It's not personal, I don't think Lev is a bad man, just a bad Chairman.

As I said in my original post I doubt AVB is up to it but who is available to take his place? Hoddle to me seems a romantic choice but he has been out of management a long time so for me a no. Personally I would give AVB till the end of the season because I think whoever we replaced him with now still wouldn't be able to get us CL this season so we might as well let this season go and make sure we make the right appointment in the Summer, my shortlist would be Pochetinno, Martinez or another shot at persuading Klinsmann to take the job.
