Jake Livermore has been recalled which suggests to me that a midfielder is going to exit in this window, Holtby or Capoue or both.
Nani rumour persists and Berba still looking like a probable 3 rd choice striking option
As it stands I would also call back Benni and Tom from QPR and that's the best we will get this January my friends.

I like Tim but levy will not give him any money and a new manager will join after the World Cup where we will see another overhaul as one or two of our best players will get fed up with the constant transition and lack of champions league

As always we will all get over excited and dream of a new era at the lane and I for one will be with you in hoping that we can keep up with the big spenders but realistically we are only where we are because Levy is squeezing every penny out of every deal and I will not knock him for giving us financial stability and hope
we need a new ground and more revenue or a rich Russian or Middle East oil sugar daddy
Whatever happens I love my team and my fellow fans and I know that one day we will get a few breaks, the ball cannot keep falling to the opposition it's against the law of averages and only we can get 4th and still fail but we are Spurs and we know that so keep the faith and remember this once you are spurs you are always be Spurs! It's not optional it's who we are,

1.) We keep swinging from European technical style of manager/coach to good old british manager/coach there is no consistency of philosophy and the person responsible for that is Levy.

The rest is symptoms of the illness.

Enough now, we could tolerate boring football whilst we blended together but now we are in serious danger of finishing seventh or worse, no pressing play anywhere within the team, no penetration, no silky midfielder, slow to pass and now defending like a relegation team.AVB just has no system, no plan b and players who can influence a game.
pauliniho is suppressing us as an attacking force, I would put Ericksen in at 10 and stick with him for now and see if he can get the speed of the premiership after. A few games in a row
Injuries did not help but what was worse was we where poor going forward.
I could live with a defeat if we had at least gone down fighting
temp manager until the end of the season
Chadli, paulinio, capoue on the bench until they find form! Defoe not good enough to hold down a place so ship him on with a thanks for all you have done, Dawson time to go or play in Europe and cups, Lamela keep trying he must come good soon
Left back in January along with a sticker who is more than 5ft and who can hold the ball up and bring others into the game
4 4 2 at home.
Simply not good enough and time for a change.

1.) Agree with most of your post, except for Capoue who IMO has been good when played in his natural midfield role and Chadli when he is fully fit will prove a good player and provide balance and competition on the left side.

A LB is a must in January.

As for AVB this needs to stand for Au revoir Villas Boas. Not sure who in but to be honest I don't think anyone could do any worse.

2.) We had one Benni but our manager thought we didn't need him and let him go out on loan

{Ed008's Note - Have you seen Assou-Ekotto's twitter post about the game? He shouldn't wear the Spurs shirt again if you've seen it

3.) I've seen the tweet. Completely disgrateful! I still belive AVB can turn this around. We have bought a lot of players and they are still settling in. Losing Bale was a big blow and we are still recovering. Once we get going and play the Spurs way we will be unstoppable. Trust me, we are going through a lot of pain and the moment but the glory will come. Just give him time. Fryers was a lot better than Naughton and expect to see him start more. Just one plus today!

{Ed008's Note - Agree Fryers was a huge improvement, Naughton should have been taken off before h/t he's just a shocking player atm probably due to confidence..

4.) Avb is clueless. Why not play high tempo attacking football now?!

I thought when you play with a high line such as Avb does that when you lose possesion the players are supposed to close down quickly and gain posession back. It seems that Avb doesn't know how to play the tactics he is known for!

5.) Mr G, Benny was a completely bloody liability who couldn't defend to save his life! We should have brought a new LB straight away!

6.) Problem is Rabbit, AVB doesn't play the Spurs way! Watching them play is like watching kids kick it around in the park!

I so hope you are right, I am hoping that the delay in an appointment is due to Levy pulling a master stroke but the longer it goes on the more nervous I get
Very worried about Moyes or Cappello
Are you in the know or is it a fantasy that you are sharing with us?

Stats are stats and they can be misleading, I like Sherwood as a person and I like that he says what others avoid, my issue was that we rushed into his appointment and took a gamble when we should have had a longer term strategy.
whilst I say the above the worry is we have no system, no style, no settled team and no leaders so what we need is someone who can take our talent and give it some structure and shape, make them believe, move the ball faster and not conceed in the first ten minutes, who that is we will have to wait and see and it has in my opinion got to be someone who has done it before in the prem (not Moyes) so for me it's raffia the gaffa 1st choice failing that the Southampton manager But not his negotiator as that would drive us all mad

Suarez and Sturrige without a doubt you can have all of our new signing for them two, coutiniho is good and would get in most teams.
My issue is not who should play for Liverpool or for Tottenham, the facts are that your boys were brilliant and you got what you deserved in fact it could and should have been more so well done.
You could get top 4 as Man U are poor and therefore this is perhaps your time, if we do not get rid of AVB now we will be letting you have it without a challenge, we looked like a team of individuals and he cannot manage those international players to muster a shot on target, it was a thrashing and whatever happens from here on you exposed us badly, the irony is that AVB goes then we may still get back at you but I doubt it so for now enjoy the moment, I would have if it was the other way around
There's always next year??

Best post I have read on here for a long time, we have been desperate for AVB to succeed so much so that we have all been in denial and have watched a boring side who shift the ball at a snails pace.
We are desperate to love our new signings but the truth is we may have got this so so wrong, I hope not, I still want to believe but when you looked at Our players today you could see that they have lost their confidence and belief Jan looked so fed up and who can blame him, stop passing backwards for gods sake
