Well done lads fantastic display and super Harry on fire.
Merson was right though. 3 point lane! Ha ha

1.) Please stand up all those who posted here last year that Harry Kane was not good enough to play for Spurs. I would now worry about the big Clubs coming in for him. He has been simply brilliant.

2.) I am willing to apologise a bit about it! He has proved me very wrong so far, let's see at the end of the season 😱

Pauli, I said he would come good and there's a lot more to come too. He epitomises everything us fans want, a local lad playing for his team putting in maximum effort and has bags of talent.

4.) I'll admit I didn't think he'd make it. His first touch was poor and his finishing was on a par with Torres.

I'll also admit right now he is leading this team with his commitment and greatly increased ability, wether from training or confidence doesn't matter. Kane has stepped his game to a level I for one didn't think he had.

5.) One swallow doesn't make a summer! I will however hold my hands up should this continue over more than one season.

6.) I have to say his performances of late have exceeded my expectations, I honestly didn't think he would produce like he has week in week out, he strikes the ball a lot better than I first thought
Let's just hope he doesn't burn out. Full credit to the lad.

7.) I'm happy to hold my hands up and say I was amongst the hoards not wanting Kane. I must admit, I'm still desperate for soldier to start and score and I look for his name on each team sheet. Never happens I know. After just watching MOTD, I will say, Harry Kane, take a bow son. Spurs player. Spurs fan. Spurs legend.(today's game will be remembered)First 3 names on MRP!s

8.) Ive always championed harry, and would be happy to admit it even if he didn't make it at spurs.

I remember commenting on his ability during a pre seaon at mk which thfc won 5/2, three yrs ago.

why some of u still doubt him I don't understand.swallow your pride and admire the young lads talents, ability, desire and workrate.

10.) Fair play Davo. I too thought that it was a season too early for Kane, but he has proved us and a lot of people wrong and long may it continue.

It's at the point where we are now thinking about signing a second striker to back him up rather than the other way around.

It's nice to see the team starting to gel together as well. I thought our passing over the last couple of weeks was far more purposeful than it has been for a couple of years. Hopefully that continues and the chemistry continues to build.

11.) Well, I did make a bet about Kane thinking my money is safe, but fair play to him, he is proving me very wrong . So much so, I want to keep knocking him so that he tries even harder!!

I was about to post, I know Harry Kane missed the pen. but he has been in the mix throughout this first half. His touch and positioning is spot on. and there you go he gets the goal! Well done son.

Danny Rose signs a new 5 yr contract!

1.) Blue spur, where did you hear that? Why do we need 3 left backs? Isn't Benni still on our books? This is getting to be yet another joke transfer window!

2.) Pochettino see's him everyday in training & if he thinks he's worth keeping & Rose is willing to fight for his place, then you have to trust Pochettino's judgement as he knows him far better than any of us.
What's the worst that can happen, he's back up for a year & doesn't work out & is sold. If Pochettino want's to give him a chance to prove himself & thinks he can improve Rose as a player, I've no problem with it.

Espur, I think your probably right, you never know poch may try him a bit further up the field, as we've also got Zeki Fryers as back at lb

4.) Espur - that's b0ll0cks. 36000 fans can't be wrong. Managers do get things wrong. I think your falling into the trap that poch is going to wave a magic wand & turn it all around with the players we already have. I personally don't think that's going to happen - I'm going to back him all the way but his managerial record isn't great to date.

5.) Oh come off it DR-TH, I'm not falling into any trap, most fans are to busy shouting abuse at players nowadays to actually know what's going on the pitch. how can you concentrate on the game if your to busy abusing players. so yeah I would say a lot of fans are clueless & bandwagon jumpers, it's Pochettino's call it's his job not the fans, so it's his decision to make.

Obviously us fans don't pick the team, Poch does, all I'm saying I think that it's the wrong move.
And just for the record there is a hell of a lot of football supports that do know football. I'm a football fan.

Spot on - Sherwood included Rose in his gang of 'playing for the shirt' dependables however, we've all seen him defending woefully over a long period. That gang also had Dawson, Naughton, Kane, Bentaleb etc, with all due respect. Squad players at best, not the first XI we want.

danny rose shouldn't be allowed anywhere near LB position, and why would you play him LM when our squad is bursting to the seams with midfielders. We had 19 players on loan last year, we can't even sell players, let alone sign them. WTF is Dawson still doing at the club! Same old, same old.

10.) There is the point that the new contract increases his value. Maybe he's not in our long term plans after all.

I don't think we are out of order getting frustrated that some of our players just aren't good enough. I'm sure rose wouldn't get abused if he knew how to defend!

Read my comments fella. I've said I'm backing him all the way, I also have an opinion & I'm sorry but I just feel Rose has had his chance & so have other players, I agree with Simmo's list, if we need to progress as a team these players need to be moved on as well. It's the same in any walk of life if you don't cut it at your place of employment you get moved on. I've backed Spurs for over 42 years. I really do hope Poch does great, but giving Rose a 5 year contract is not what 90% of the paying fans want.!

12.) Simmo, wouldn't really want them as squad players, no other team wants them so how can they be good enough for squad players . I suppose we could keep them registered and then tell them not to bother coming to work, that will keep our English contingent up!

Davo, I was being diplomatic, ideally for me they wouldn't be in the squad. Realistically some may have to be but should only the bottom end, 3rd/4th choices.
