Beginning to look like Eriksen has few if any options. Levy rumored to be trying to offload him for 55-60m now. He's going to make our bench look good if he hasn't ticked Poch off too much.

On the other hand Toby continues to demonstrate why he deserves a decent extension.

Yellow Card

1.) 24 Jul 2019 22:59:15
Juventus like Eriksen.

2.) 25 Jul 2019 00:20:48
Dybala coming the other way by chance?

3.) 25 Jul 2019 16:35:07
I didn't say Juventus are getting him, just that they like him. I would be surprised if we got Dybala but there's interest, I would happily exchange Eriksen for him.

4.) 25 Jul 2019 17:43:33
If we got Dybala I’d imagine one Dele Alli would not be very happy.

5.) 26 Jul 2019 19:37:24
Guvnor that’s kinda like saying Cardiff City like Eriksen . they won’t get him either.

6.) 26 Jul 2019 20:19:00
Not really. I didn't say they won't get him either. By like I mean they have made contact about him.

7.) 26 Jul 2019 20:42:53
Guvnor I kinda understood that, hence my original response - both full of multiple variables and what ifs.

16 Jul 2019 18:52:19
Trippier appears on his way to AM, Toby maybe on his way to Roma and Rose not on pre season tour.

Are we really going to replace 3 of our regular back 4 starters in one window, seems a little risky to me.

Yellow Card

1.) 17 Jul 2019 05:57:44
Very risky but they seem confident we will sign Sessegnjn for Rose, To y leaving might leave it open for Ake and Trippuer is no better than Aurier, KWP or Foyth in that position.

2.) 17 Jul 2019 12:43:15
Sessegnon and KWP as starters doesn’t feel like an improvement, then again neither does Aurier and Davies.

Maybe Poch is looking to a back 3, Verts, Sanchez and whoever? Still feels like we’re going to be pretty thin in defensive quality and cover.

3.) 17 Jul 2019 13:40:57
Oracle you said ake was signing in January, what happened?

4.) 20 Jul 2019 23:44:27
He didn’t sign!

5.) 21 Jul 2019 20:18:17
There was definitely a lot of interest in Ake a while back. As I've said lots of times, transfers are complex affairs. We don't get to hear about a lot of the ones that fall through.

6.) 21 Jul 2019 21:48:57
But oracle said ake was definitely happening.

7.) 21 Jul 2019 23:25:24
Nothings definite until its signed in football.

8.) 22 Jul 2019 16:17:47
It’s the complete opposite when oracle posts.

9.) 25 Jul 2019 09:28:12
Has the transfer window closed yet?

10.) 25 Jul 2019 09:40:31
The transfer option for Toby Alderweireld closes tomrrow. I doubt anyone thought he would be staying with a measly £25m buy out clause. So if Tony is staying things are a little different.

Sessegnon remains a key focus and offloading Eriksen who has pissed of Pochettino is the biggest dilemma. Perhaps a swap with Dybala isn’t a disaster after all. He can play behind Kane at CAM if Eriksen goes and so can Kane for that matter if Dybala is seen as a better option up front. So not a crazy swap.

22 Jun 2019 20:01:07
Apparently it's all but done the first signing looks to be Yago de Santiago . yep me neither, another highly rated 16 yo prospect that will show up in the first team in 3-4 years time, maybe.

Yellow Card

1.) 23 Jun 2019 09:21:26
I thought we’d already already made our first signing,17 year old kion etere from notts county. Again another one we won’t see for 3-4 years.

2.) 23 Jun 2019 12:36:09
You’re right our big 200k signing had slipped my memory.

3.) 24 Jun 2019 21:01:09
The raver is dusting down his puma kings as daniel levy is keen on this soccer pin up.

4.) 25 Jun 2019 01:37:29
At the rate we’re signing upgrades to the first team we might need you to replace Jansen.

07 Jun 2019 11:50:26
That we've be linked with every midfield player of note this window is not a surprise.

But I'm surprised/ worried that we don't seem to be linked with any right backs that I've seen. Anyone have any thoughts or info, given that it appears we've been open to move Trippier on.

Yellow Card

{Ed002's Note - Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) won't be happening
Max Aarons (RB) seen as a viable option
Steven Sessegnon (RB/CB) another HG
Nelson Semedo (RB)}

1.) 07 Jun 2019 12:38:11
Thanks Ed002.

2.) 07 Jun 2019 14:16:55
Ed2, do you still see Ndombele as unlikely or has something changed? Media coverage seems to be increasing some on that one.

{Ed002's Note - Other clubs have stepped back but talks have been taking place with another side.}

3.) 07 Jun 2019 20:12:08
Is that side PSG Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

4.) 11 Jun 2019 11:53:07
About time Kyle Walker Peters was given a run in the team. Aurier is a good back up and Sessegnon will be able to watch and wait as his brother dominates the other side of the Spurs pitch.

5.) 11 Jun 2019 12:27:56
KWP is a long way from a top class RB, he has too many lapses of concentration for my liking. And Sessegnon didn’t exactly shine at Fulham in the PL. If that’s to be our wide defense next season we will be in trouble.

6.) 11 Jun 2019 17:08:09
Aurier is a liability, KWP isn’t premiership standard, and Sessegnon is a championship player. If we’re looking to push on we need to raise the bar. We need players that are going to walk into the 1st eleven. Have players like Deli on the bench (this is the kick up the arse he’ll need)

We need pace down both flanks. Along with passion, desire and work rate.

7.) 14 Jun 2019 12:58:25
This Sessegnon is a championship player nonsense needs to stop. He's 19 years old, has been a first team player for three seasons, played in one of the worst teams in the league, for three different managers and still managed 2 goals and 6 assists. Was Harry Kane a premier league player at 19? Was Heung-Min Son?

8.) 14 Jun 2019 17:05:03
At 19 Sessegnon is not ready to be starting full back for a top 4/ 6 team in the PL.

Looks like we're parking the bus against Burnley, based on the starting line-up. Has it really come to that?

Yellow Card

1.) 07 Mar 2020 17:49:03
1-0 down in first 12 mins. Didn’t work. Not seen such a poor spurs side for years, players don’t look like they want to be on the pitch, those who are there don’t want the ball. Utter shambles.

2.) 07 Mar 2020 20:21:05
Another boring match tonight and thank God I'm on my way to seedy west London where I'm guaranteed satisfaction, the players are not playing for Jose mourinho and were clearly not interested tonight, I would only keep 6 players and that's kane, son, sissoko, Lo celso, alderwereld, bergwyn and ship the rest of them to China, roll on British summertime where I'm guaranteed sun, sea booze and no spurs to let me down.

3.) 08 Mar 2020 03:21:52
Boring and Jose go hand in hand.

4.) 08 Mar 2020 07:14:21
That’s what you kept on saying raver, you wanted Mourinho, why would you think Mourinho would play exciting football?

5.) 08 Mar 2020 11:53:54
I did want jose mourinho as he's won lots of trophies but I think he's now a dinosaur who's outdated against the young upcoming managers.

6.) 08 Mar 2020 18:19:27
You couldn’t see that before?

26 Feb 2020 12:10:17
Jose's first silverware at Tottenham?

Did we get any silverware for setting the new Guinness Book of Records for pancakes at the stadium . maybe a knife and fork to put in the cabinet?

Yellow Card

Interesting starting lineup against City.

Lo Celso is going to have help Winks out big time, because he's not going to hold midfield on his own.

Yellow Card

1.) 03 Feb 2020 17:18:12
I think we can thank Mourinho for putting in Bergwijn from the start, Poch would never have done that Yellow.

If you look at Mourinho’s past history will tell you he always puts players straight in.

11 Jan 2020 19:27:02
If we played every game like we did in the second half, I'd be a happy man.

They did us proud today not letting up a Liverpool started to tire in the last 30 minutes. We created the chances and didn't take them.

Eriksen needs out, LoCelso needs to start. Tanganga looks capable at this level too, thanks for your service Jan but your time is up.

Yellow Card

{Ed047's Note - couldn’t believe LoCelso missed that chance, on his left foot too.

Great game to watch.

1.) 11 Jan 2020 20:00:54
Ed047,

And no VAR to disrupt it. one of the better games I’ve seen this season for sure.

I think Sons chance that went over the top was a bigger miss, would have really liked to see that go in and see how much pressure that reds defence could withstand.

Liverpool look like and play like worthy champions. I hope they stay the course now.

{Ed047's Note - I definitely expected Son to bury it, it was only that LoCelso was that bit closer.

They just don’t really seemed to get fazed by anything and I’m sure they’ll go on to lift it.

Should give you guys a lift too because you made a real game of it.

2.) 11 Jan 2020 20:53:29
I thought it was a pathetic performance, no heart no passion and the same players going missing as usual, we are going nowhere as a club and we won't even make the top 6 this season. Levy and Lewis can see we have big injurys yet sit back and do nothing, we are a very poor football club.

3.) 11 Jan 2020 22:31:24
A good game once we got started in the last 20 like the CL final.
Agree about Eriksen get rid and agree about Lo Celso get in! 👍
I see the Goons got their usual red card today 😂.

4.) 11 Jan 2020 23:28:54
That's definitely you Ellis 😁.

{Ed033's Note - theleftwilleatitself has a light hearted nature to him, compared to LSD.

If you've forgot, theleftwilleatitself and LSD posted at the same time for a bit.

It's interesting to read the comments being made by Klopp, admittedly after extending his contract, and those that were made by Pochettino during the summer.

One is clearly committed to his club, the other was clearly not and paid the price.

Jose is definitely an issue I’d agree there.

I think I’ve seen suggestions that there were questions about Ndombele’s mental application before when he was at Lyon . which if accurate adding a “man manager” like Jose to the mix was probably not going to go well.

Yellow Card

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, it was known he needed careful handling to get the most out of him. Which is why it is particularly odd that Jose has not been informed of this or that he has decided that this is careful handling. I really do not understand it. It has never worked for him in the past singling out one player to pick on, why does he continue to do so? Someone really will have to explain the thinking on this one to me.}

Is it a case of a player that is not physically compatible with the demands of the Premier League?

Yellow Card

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't show any signs of that. It is more of a mental thing adaptation usually. Physically anyone young enough can work to build up physical strength and power to cope. The problem is that he gets no support, just snide comments off his manager, the man who should be backing him. You don't get the best out of players by publicly slagging them off. Jose should have learnt this by now. It has been the issue that brought him down everywhere he has gone.}

The financial implications of that for ENIC due to the loss of cash flow from games to fund the stadium debt could be pretty serious. unless banks are willing to negotiate consideration for the unusual incidents of a pandemic.

Any one have any insight?

Jose says the team didn’t have believe they could win . perhaps he should read his own press meeting statements. ”going to a gun fight with no bullets” . ”the entire Leipzig bench would be in my team” . mmm motivating statements NOT!

The man is a relic of an era that has passed him by.
