Guardian reporting that Spurs have an interest in Matthias Ginter. Can play RB or DM, but is a German international CB. Hasn't worked out for him at Dortmund, but I think would be an upgrade on Wimmer as a third CB option.

This Sessegnon is a championship player nonsense needs to stop. He's 19 years old, has been a first team player for three seasons, played in one of the worst teams in the league, for three different managers and still managed 2 goals and 6 assists. Was Harry Kane a premier league player at 19? Was Heung-Min Son?

I think the club see Sessegnon as a winger rather than a full back, Doc. Certainly would provide a lot of pace in the final third.

Madness. He's the best left-back in the country and you guys want to swap him for a centre-back with no prem experience and a centre forward who has hardly set the world alight.
He apologised for his comments, which means he's at least willing to make some amends, and considers that he has a future with the club, so why should we sell him. He's clearly a better and more complete player than Walker, has longer on his contract, so there's no way the club would accept less than the value of that deal.
What I'd like to see the club do is pinpoint the core of the squad (Alli, Kane, Toby, Hugo, Dier, Rose, Eriksen, Dembele, Son) and offer them new contracts, with the wage structure elevated to pay the best players closer to their market value.
If we can add a couple of the players we're being linked with to the squad in addition, then I don't see, really, how we could have had a better transfer window.

That'd be exciting. Can play wide or central, so probably less likely to be dependent on HK missing time. Bags of pace.

Not sure that makes much sense to me, Doc.
Dier's great asset (aside from the fact the players all seem to love him) is that versatility that means he could play RB/ CB/ DM/ CM on Sunday, and do a good job in any of those spots. If we sold him, who would cover if Wanyama gets injured/ suspended or needed to be rotated?
Not sure Di Maria is a Poch player, although he's clearly a class act, I think we'd be better off with a younger, more malleable player (Lemar would have been perfect) .
