If we were to sell Adebeyor, Soldado, Lennon, and Chiriches, we would have squad space and with all the other sales nearly enough to buy Berahino, Bolasie, Sissoko and Austin, just saying! That would make me actually optimistic too!

Can anyone explain why we needed 2 holding midfielders vs a team in 17th that can't defend to save their lives? Dier is so poor anyway, why not pick someone that can play a forward pass and help us keep the ball better. If we had played Lo Celso from the start we would have controlled that game and struggled a lot less.

Also I can't understand how Lloris didn't just come and pick up that cross. I thought Gks were there to help the defenders and take the pressure off them? His starting posistion was 3yards off his line, the cross traveled a fair way and he allowed it to land on the 6 yard line! And as for Son and Alli in front of goal, my nan could have done better, luckily for them 2 she isn't signed on!

{Ed047's Note - you do know Mourinho is at the wheel of his same old bus. That’s your style of play now mate

Perhaps your nan needs to sign on, now that Son seems done for the season.

I am getting so fed up with how poor Son and Alli are at finishing. We have been a sorry bag of spuds all game and yet if either of them could finish we would have killed this game off ages ago. Now i'm waiting for the Villa winner!

Although I think there is massive potential in Ndombele I have to say that was the worst performance I have seen in some time from one of our players. He literally did nothing. I spent long periods watching him off the ball and he barely broke into a jog at any point, aweful!

Another mediocre and underwhelming transfer window smashes shut and we still have many more questions than answers!
Im glad we have got rid of the poisonous Eriksen and Rose, but for me we had to sort out Full Backs and proper DCM. We have done neither. A proper striker that can play in Kanes place or even up top together when we are chasing games wasnt purchased, but we spent £27m on another winger to play alongside the 5 we already have? He may well turn out to be a good player but i'm not sure that money wouldn't have been better buying say Aarons from Norwich or Ings from Soton? Maybe I expect too much? How good is Jose at bashing square pegs in round holes? Will he be any more successful than Poch under the current way we operate in thiasor any other transfer window? Levy in or out? Should I be careful what I wish for? Will Raver lose his Sh1t over our dealings? How badly are Man City going to pull our pants down at the weekend?
Raver cheer me up!

It does seem strange that we were already light on full backs and we shipped 2 out and seemingly were willing to let Foyth go aswell, whilst failing to sign any.

I’ll accept that Tanganga looks like an upgrade on KWP and Rose. but it seems to me we finish the window weaker on defenders than we started, something I was hoping would be strengthened.

And there you have it Raver. I told you. even though we were still outplayed in periods by rock bottom Norwich. Put the Champagne on hold, that was more of a Aldi's own Cava performance, but I will take 3 pts however and wherever they come.

Yes I get all that Guvnor, but why do we always continue to turn the screw for so long? I am glad we have a solid base and are a properly run club, for which Levy is to be congratulated, but haggling over a couple of mil until the 11th hour when you are talking about a 50 mil plus player makes me think he isn't that interested in the player and will end up with the usual club statement come the 9th, we tried our best but it wasnt possible etc.
On the other hand if we do get it over the line it will have been so dragged out that he probably won't be ready for selection until september. I just would have loved a year where we buy whoever our genuine realistic targets are early in the window so they can prepare and be ready for gameweek one, not gameweek 4. Perhaps I live in a fantasy world!

I am sick to death of us leaving transfers until the 11th hour and then missing out. It stinks of Levy penny pinching again, even if we get Lo Celso he won't be ready for the 1st few games as he will need time to settle in.
Currently from our tiny squad from last year we have got rid of many more than we have added and the contract situation of the ones we have are nearly terminal in some cases, why leave it to drag so long. If they are showing no signs of extending contracts just move them on for the best price you can actually get and stop pissing about for the sake of a few mil and get the players you actually know are available and you want, is it really that complicated?
Im guessing Levy is now planning on signing Sessegnon in jan on a tribunal to save another few mil, risky business!

I think the reason you finished below us was because again you got less points than us! Your arguements are always based on ifs, well here is one for you Oddbod, IF my Auntie had balls she would be my Uncle!

I suppose you have forgotten what it is like to see your fans celebrating taking 3 points? 😉.

I can't see us buying a replacement any time soon. It will mean more minutes for Skipp this season so we may see a bit more of him and what he is made of, he seems to have great potential.

The one thing we desperately need is a CM that can go past a player which then opens up space for the front 3. This is what Dembele has been brilliant at. When he goes past one or two and then gives it we create so much more. We need to have that as in my eyes Dier Wanyama, Winks and Skipp are really all competing for the same posistion and currently Sissoko is the only one for the other CM spot if Dembele goes.

I really like Sissoko in terms of speed stamina work rate and dribbling but technically he isn't good enough and has little to no end product. He does a lung busting 40 yard run, goes past 3 and then misses a 5 yard square pass!

I would also like to add that Dembele has been my favourite player to watch live for the last 3 years and he has completely bossed many of the games I've been to. The guy has such strength and technique, made it look so easy at times, and I will miss him!

We have been poor for ages mate. You will beat us comfortably. We have no goals in us and are shoddy at the back!

Funny day today raver. I honestly don't know what to say about that game. Some positives to take and could have snatched it late, but ultimately we were troubled for the majority of the game by a bang average Watford team!
