Imagine having a manager that gushes about Eric Dier and Ben Davies, actually worships them. Imagine having an chairman that tries to convince fans that signing any player is near impossible when Fat Frank is playing Footie Manager. Imagine being a Spurs fan that's ever backed Levy or Maureen.

Imagine being a Spurs fan and wanting Poch out when he got us to the CL final. A joke club run by jokers, enabled by the weak fan base. £22 million a year for these two fools, only at THFC. #ENICOUT #MAUREENOUT.

The forward situation:

Willian Jose (S) likely remains first choice for Mr Mourinho.
Arkadiusz Milik (S) wanted by Milan who have offered Kessie in exchange - but not an attractive solution. Roma, Juventus and Spurs have both enquired. Napoli are looking toward keeping Arkadiusz Milik and shifting the issue forward a year by which time internal problems may have gone. Roma will push for a deal this summer - Napoli may resist. Unlikely for Spurs.
Said Benrahma (LW/ S/ F) Brentford are looking for £25M with Palace, Spurs, Leicester, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham showing an interest - the question will remain can he step up - Palace thinks he can. Unlikely for Spurs.
Patson Daka (S) Spurs are aware the difficulties they face in recruiting a striker who will know that he won't be a starter. It would be a hard project to sell and he is likely to stay where he is for a season. A tough sell for Spurs.
Habib Diallo (S) has an agent who has decide it is his time to step up after his time at Metz and the hype has been serious with his club hoping for an auction. Certainly there is interest from Fenerbahce, Leeds, Crystal Palace and Watford (although the coach has since moved on) . Norwich, Spurs, Toulouse and Newcastle have all scouted the player but I am not aware of any declaration of interest being made at this time. The lady from Marseille says he would be perhaps a good championship-level player in England. Could be a mistake by Spurs. }.

Daka's agent is Frederick Kanoute so maybe not that hard. Going on today he would probably start ahead of Kane!

Has anyone else heard the rumours about Daniel Sturridge being considered as a backup for Kane? Not the signing we want but may be a good option to come off the bench when required.

I’m more concerned about who starts when Kane is injured . which happens more often than we care to admit the last couple of seasons.

I thought it was Mourinho who got rid of Sturridge at Chelsea. I maybe wrong.

I’d like to see a bid for Danny Ings. Maybe try and fit him and Kane together in the same line up. He wouldn’t want to be a bit part player.

{Ed002's Note - Sturridge left of his own accord.}

Wouldn't be too bad as a temporary solution if we can't get Patson Daka or Andrea Belotti.

Hi Ed, could we have an update for Spurs this week?

{Ed002's Note - There won't be time before next week I am afraid.}

Will remind you later. Thanks Ed!

I've heard that Mourinho wanted Leon Bailey instead of Bergwijn last season, don't be surprised to see us go for him.

Fingers crossed on Joe Hart. This is why you don't give Poch a buck in 512 days. If Daniel and Maureen can get this deal done then it's all worth it. It's why you build a billion pound stadium, you're dreaming about Joe Hart at the club. Get the deal done and I will forget about Daniel being the worst chairman in PL history. And who cares about the football, i'll put up with this two bit irrelevant dinosaur, if we get Joe Hart.

Hi Eds, probably a strange question, but do you have any knoledge of our outgoing players ( as whoever we sign can't be much worse)
Especially the following :
Aurier-cannot defend, always out of position letting wingers drift behind him and he couldn't pick a cross at the Vatacan.
Davis- defending is suspect, but going forward, stops at half way and passes back.
Sissoko- Touch of baby elephant and final third, like a headless chicken.
Rose, too interested in opinions than football.
CCV / KWP not at the level required.
The following three I would suggest, would only be to raise funds
Lamella, Moura and Alli. These always give 110% but with financial restrictions, could give us some welcome finances.
Any info on these and any others would be most welcome.

{Ed002's Note - Hugo Lloris (G) time has come but will squeeze an extra season out of him to save money.
Kyle Walker-Peters (RB) Crystal Palace and Southampton have been in discussions with Spurs over taking KWP on loan for next season as the player is keen to get game time after this season’s loan has been disrupted. The problem is that Spurs are keen to sell Serge Aurier and Milan are pushing for a loan to buy (as they do not have the funds to buy him and a low bid will fall on deaf ears). Milan are also being pushed to take Kenny Tete. If Aurier departs it means that any move for KWP could well be delayed until Spurs can get their replacement (ideally Elseid Hysaj) in.
Serge Aurier (RB) available.
Danny Rose (LB) available.
Jan Vertonghen (CB) is out of contract and Mr Mourinho wants to rebuild the defence.
Juan Foyth (CB) will be allowed to move on if cover is found.
Eric Dier (DM) may be available.
Tanguy Ndombele (CM) not really working out at Spurs hence their looking to Geoffrey Kongdogbia and although the club want to persist with TN Mr Mourinho doesn't and the player says he is at the top of his game. Barcelona are still interested and have a number of players that could interest Spurs including Nelson Semedo (RB) - who is being offered around as a means of raising cash; Sumuel Umtiti (CB) - but I fear he would very quickly frustrate Mr Mourinho; and of course Philippe Coutinho (AM/LW). Spurs will not get a sale at a reasonable price so an exchange might be viable. If Spurs could soft out the wages for Coutinho, Barcelona may be open to a deal.

Cheers Ed002, many thanks for your insight, only dissapointment is, youve not listed sissoko and I still have faith that Foyth will turn into a good player if given a run of games.

Ed could you help me understand the club trained player rules?
Sessegnon became 19 after the 18-19 season ended (so became 19 in 19-20) . As he will complete 3 seasons at the club in year he gets 21, will he count as club trained?

{Ed002's Note - There are two things to consider and not to confuse:
(1) Home Grown: The EPL squad rules are a max of 25 players over 21, of which a max of 17 can be non-Home Grown. The remaining eight have to be HG (spending 3 years between 16 and 21 with an English or Welsh side, regardless of nationality, e.g. Nathan Ake is Home Grown for the EPL). If there are not enough HG players, then the squad size reduces, so if there are only six, the squad reduces to 23. In terms of UEFA competitions, the rules vary slightly with the eight "HG". A maximum of four of those eight can be trained by other clubs in the English and Welsh association. The remaining have to be club developed and trained. So If Arsenal were to recruit Mason Mount, he would fall in to the category of being association trained (by Chelsea) rather than club trained. Again, if there are not sufficient club trained players the squad size is reduced.

(2) Club developed: In terms of "club developed and trained" means that they have spent at least 12 months with the club before the year of their 19th birthday. As such Ryan Sessegnon is not club developed by Spurs.}

This clears plenty. Thanks Ed! I’ve been trying to wrap my head around part 2 online. Glad I asked you. Thanks again!

Personally I'm hoping Hojberg does go to Everton. I can't see what he offers us? He isn't a midfield destroyer type, nor a playmaker so what is all the fuss about? He hasn't played for Southampton for a while and their results have improved and all his stats suggest he really doesn't contribute a great deal, no more than Winks for example? Any thoughts?

I’d rather see us fix the defense. full backs/ wing backs of the required quality are in short supply in our squad. Center back positions are thin on consistent quality also with Jan expected to leave and with Toby aging.
