As I stated in an earlier post, Damiao is coming to Tottenham. He wanted to come last summer but demands from Internacional stopped him from coming. This time all terms have now been agreed, and barring medical, yet to be done, he will be a Spurs player by the weekend. My source? My cousin is a youth player for Internacional. Felipe

The only hope I have on these damiao rumors are that, he's not getting in the brazil squad so he needs to move to a larger club to improve and prove himself at a higher level to get that international spot.

everyone goes on about the 20 a season striker we need but can't see him getting that for a few years but the option be nice (negrado) would be my choice
Agree2

Was in the Daily Star too and was on the samba football website yesterday.! Is all B/S
Agree2
Disagree4
It's all regurgitated bull from the last 5 windows. We won't be signing a 20+ a season striker. As much as I like JD he's never scored 20 a season at any club or in any season. Ade was a waste of time buying as we all knew he's goals would dry up as soon as he got a contract.
But for the love of all that's holy. Please Levy give us another Teddy.
We need a goal scorer and we need it this window or in the summer Bale will go, Vert will leave, so will walker etc and we will lose any chance of any big name signings then its back to top 10 team with us.
Mk1
Agree3
Disagree5
Bale may go but not vert or Walker! why would they?
Agree1
Disagree1
Why? Because Levy will single handedly sink our beloved club.
We constantly fall short of CL football because he refuses to make the signings that we all know the club needs.
After a few more seasons of Levy promising everything and delivering nothing the players will soon get sick of it and start leaving for teams that can deliver CL football and have a real prospect of delivering trophies.
Same thing is happening with le arse (I.e Nasri etc).

All I will say is I told you so, Damiao to be announced imminently. Isn't it amazing that every paper and every reader on here slagged me off and reported the deal was dead, yet here we are about to publish the news from HQ and all of a sudden everyone wants to jump on the band wagon.

It originated from the Daily Star. So much truth comes from there.
I heard you say 'it's done, ' but all I (and many others) have heard is that we're putting a last bid in for him.
There's a difference between a single bid and announcing a new player, Oracle.

Everybody knows we tried signing him for the last couple of seasons read a paper and you'll see it there
Don't go saying its definatly going to happen on a certain day that is why you get abused. you aren't actually in the know otherwise he would've come on the day or multiple days you've predicted it
Don't worry when he doesn't sign because levy was being tight then you'll get mugged off again........
Just read negredo might sign, I predict Thursday...... ooops sorry just doing an oracle

I really enjoy Oracles post as it gets everyone talking, and at least he sticks to his guns on what he believes what transfers will happen. I don't think olympic stadium will be a correct prediction but who knows Damiao could sign before window closes, And before you all start with your negative views who thought in the past we'd sign VDV, Klinsman ossie and villa etc etc icould go on. we are not a top 4 team we are punching above our weight and have done for year......Apart from bale who will get in the so called top 4 starting 11...lets just face it all the rumour are to sell papers and tv are the biggest scams..... all this linking of players are for the betting sector....

Vydra update:
The 5 year contract was under discussion between Matej's agent and Watford yesterday afternoon. Were this deal to go ahead, no fee would be involved, as it would simply be a changing of hands between two Pozzo family owned clubs. Were this to go ahead, it would be in order for the club to bypass any potential rule changes regarding International loans next season. I am also aware Watford are submitting similar contracts to loanees Almen Abdi, Joel Ekstrand and potentially late-bloomer Cristan Battocchio. It is also believed Watford will be signing Daniel Pudil from the other Pozzo club, Granada, whether a fee will be involved is unknown to me.
Former-Udinese striker/midfielder Fernando Forestieri has already agreed a 5.5 year contract with Watford, involving no transfer fee, earlier in the month - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21030860.
Udinese have received derisory offers from Tottenham, £8m, and West Ham, £5m, which were rejected. Vydra's agent has stated in the press "If Matej will be signing for a club this window, it will be Watford" - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfers-matej-vydra-watfords-1552042.
However, Roma have submitted a late bid following a long-term injury to one of their star forwards, Destro. The offer is believed to be a sizeable sum, around £8m, plus the inclusion of a young prospect from the Roma academy the Udinese scouts have monitored for some time, who they have valued at around £2.5-£3m. Udinese are currently on strong speaking terms with the Rome-based club, following the signing of Marco Cassetti, who has also been loaned to Watford this campaign.
Whether Vydra will be joining Watford or Roma is unknown to me, but what I would assume is that if Vydra were to go to Roma, Udinese would loan Watford forward Brayan Pedrea, a columbian international who is ineligable to play for Udinese due to non-EU international restrictions.
Source: An agent with connections to WFC. Although not one of the Udinese/Granada loanees, an English defender.
Make of it what you will.

You say they received a 'derisory' offer of 8m from Spurs, yet a 'sizeable' offer of 8m from Roma? I am sure we would have thrown in loan deals to back the transfer price up if it were indeed true...

Spurs (ie. Levy) have been "looking" to put in a bid for the past 3 years!
So why in Gods name would it take until the final hours to actually "agree" a fee after some many failed negotiations??
Surely Mr Levy; when he 1st then 2nd and 3rd time bid peanuts and was told No; he must by now have a small clue what it would cost for this boy!!

Spurs are looking at singing Portuguese forward Eder from SC Braga. Read it on Portuguese site. He can play on his own up front and is tall and skilful. Not convinced he can develop enough to be a world-beater though.

siggs would be 3rd choice for his position so hardly going to get a look in, especially in his current form when he needs a run of games to build his confidence.
there4 a loan at a smaller club, with guaranteed starting time makes some sense,
i would keep him personally as the games come thick and fast now

Ha ha what drivel, Muller unfortunately will not be allowed to leave bayern, have heard from a friend in Munich that the rumour they are hearing is that when bale leaves in the summer for real we have an agreement for robben!!! I would be ok with this plus bag loads in the bank to hopefully reinvest in the squad! Here's hoping we get the striker we desperately need but please no second rate maybes like Hooper we can't afford to hope they might succeed in the epl we need quality, ps oracle where's damiao ?
Believable2
Unbelievable5
Would you not also just be hoping that Damiao would succeed? Or even a proven epl scorer for that matter? Before you post pish just have a little think because Hooper would get a game for Spurs. You'll do well to sign him.
Agree3
Disagree3
You might be right but the premier league is completely different to the Scottish premier, loads of average strikers do well up there and bomb when they come down, he would be better off staying put imo, spurs need a top quality striker to maintain our position in top 4, was just my opinion that to take a chance on Hooper at the price quoted is not what we need!!! I still think we need a winger, decent cover at the back and a striker!!!!
Agree0
Disagree0
The SPL has given its fair share of crackers to the EPL in fairness. It's just evident you haven't watched Gary Hooper in the Champions League this season the way your talking about him. How much you've seen of Damiao I daren't ask, but obviously even though he's three times as much you don't see that as a risk either.
