Sporting Lisbon have confirmed the sale of Eric Dier to Spurs for €5m. They state it was his desire to leave and they wish him well. Thus it doesn't seem he will be loaned back to them. Good signing. Watched him in Portugal last 2 seasons; tall, athletic, clever defender and solid all-rounder in midfield. Good driving forward with the ball and is very difficult to get past in defence.

Seen a report in Portuguese media saying that Spurs are signing Miguel Lopes (very average Right-Back) on loan from Sporting Lisbon as cover for Kyle Walker. Not very exciting or inspiring, but there you go.!

Apparently Spurs are waiting for Pochettino to learn English before they sign him. Hopefully he'll have nailed it by next weekend. Levy has bought him a 'Speak n Spell' to speed up the process
