Im personally sad AVB has gone I seriously think some parts of the media have bullied him any idea who we may be looking at as our next manager Ed002?

Mikey93

{Ed002's Note - I am told that Fabio Capello is wanted by one particular member of staff.}

1.) I hope not is Michael Laudrup a option Ed?

{Ed002's Note - I would not think he would be interested as he likes more control than Spurs will likely let hm have.}

2.) 16 Dec 2013 21:55:33
Manchester United fan here. Your 8 points off Arsenal where did you expect to be at this point. AVB deserved time. Baldini bought them players not AVB.

3.) Ed002 is it true AVB was not very happy at Tottenham anyway and might even have walked away?

{Ed002's Note - I think he was rather frustrated and certainly has been approached (last week) by Porto. As an aside, Capello has said to The AP that he does not see Spurs as an option although his phone is "red hot".}

4.) Its confusing to me why capello or klinsman would be in contention for spurs manager job when both are managing world cup teams.

5.) Anyone for sherwood? the season is now written off like to see him give until the end of season see what he does .

6.) 17 Dec 2013 17:11:11
How is season written off. 8 points off Arsenal

7.) 17 Dec 2013 18:29:54
Blimey glen hoddle has put his name in the frame, expect he would on mega money, he's failed before and at other clubs what's the difference.

8.) 17 Dec 2013 18:42:10
With a win rate of 39 percent as a manager and being out of football surely hoddle may be out of touch. Expect an agreement has already been done.

9.) 19 Dec 2013 15:35:22
How come not many Spurs fans seem to think Capello is not a good idea? He is a proven trophy winner, europe wide. Surely that's something Spurs have not had in sometime?

10.) 19 Dec 2013 21:41:16
Benitez is perfect.

11.) Any more Chavski rejects anyone can reccomend?

12.) Davo, I wouldn't class Benitez as a chav reject. It was well publicised that his contract was until the end of that season and he achieved all he could under extreme pressure from the chav support.
Of all the managers left, who would come, I think Benitez is our best option. My opinion only. He loves this country. He knows the premiership and Europe inside out. Until someone gives me a better name, then I think he is our ONLY option.
A manager with no premiership experience is definitely out.unkess it's a klopp or guardiolla (spelling) and that ain't going to happen. Would levy sack another manager out of his depth? Premiership experience is essential now for our long term progression. Our next manager needs to be in charge for years, not months.

13.) Benitez isn't exactly available though unless he is desperate to leave Napoli.

14.) He might well be after his fuming chairman took the press conference, instead of Benitez, after their CL exit last week. I think he is there for the taking. Maybe avb in opposite direction.
Just a thought.

Ed002 are reports AVB might be sacked true? {Ed002's Note - No Mikey. helsea was a job too soon for him and perhaps Spurs as well. He is a really nice guy but has to learn to make his play less predictable. There was one major transfer error in the summer and I do not hold him responsible for that. Hang in there.}

Mikey93

1.) What's the transfer error? player bought or missed? {Ed002's Note - Lamela.}

2.) What or who was the major transfer error ed? {Ed002's Note - Lamela.}

3.) I disagree ed, you think he isn't that good or just not suited to the Epl? Lamela will show his qualities soon, Avb is the problem. {Ed002's Note - There is a bunch of stuff - it is not something I want to explain.}

4.) Lamela is a fantastic buy, and a really gifted player. At 21 years old he will take a little longer to adapt to the EPL

Argentina have Higuain, Aguerro,, Palaccio and Lavezzi as attacking option and still Lamela get his game time.

He is naturally a striker and we are trying to force him into a wide channel out and out English winger. Play him alongside Defoe and see what happens.
