Several news outlets are saying that we might get K Honda over Milan and his other suitors. If this happens our midfield will be stacked beyond belief, although I have no idea who would go to make room for him.

Ed have you heard anything?

hey ed

idea here I would appreciate your and everyone's opinion on this. my favorite post in recent memory was the review of the swindon game. In line with the minimalist theme of this site maybe we could benefit from a match rating page. if its infeasible for whatever we understand. you guys are busy enough resounding to our questions

Firstly, same submission system which would allow for the same arguments and discussions we all love

secondly, it would allow us to track our and our opponents players for transfer window discussions

Lastly, the sept-nov and feb-june season lull on this site would disappear

Thanks in advance

RY

1.) Think that's a really good idea if you eds could manage {Ed001's Note - we do have a site set up for doing player ratings, it is just that we haven't finished developing an automated way to gather up the team listings for each game, so people can rate the player's performances. Maybe we could start with just rating the team performances first? Finding the fixtures to automatically generate the chance to post up ratings and a review of a performance would be much easier.}

2.) Ed wow you guys went a step beyond what I was thinking.

The automated system would be awesome.

You're suggestion where users just submit team performances was where my head was at initially. The community would come up with more or less democratic ratings by subsequent ratings posts to the first user's ratings per game on each clubs page in a discussion similar to the banter page. possibly with a accurate/inaccurate ranking of posts like "believable/unbelievable"

We might just expect users to post team names and scores at the top of each ratings post as the teamsheet knowledge would be required before giving any reviews. This shows that they watched the game or at least took the time to review ratings on other sites. it would only require the creation of a page that users know is for match ratings. Where some users might even do the rest of us a favor and review our youth matches or even matches where our youngsters are on loan like luongo, pritchard, and hall at swindon.

I really hope this comes about Ed, every other site I go to with spurs ratings is littered with youtube style comments. This is one of the few sites where the admins actually care and that's why I would prefer if I did not have to go anywhere else for my Spurs rumours. Green-eyed monsters everywhere, not just in the merchant of venice anymore lol

Thanks ED {Ed001's Note - actually you have some good points there, rather than just a rating system, it would make sense for it to be reviews and ratings, only allowing ratings that come with a review. I don't like the way youtube, twitter and the like allow posts to just be a free for all. I wish people could be trusted to just post what they wanted, but it just ends up in abuse and nastiness. Hence why we approve posts first, even if it does mean a hell of a lot more work for us, it makes for a, generally, more friendly atmosphere. The reason why we do things on separate sites, rather than just adding more pages, is purely to make it easier for the servers, otherwise I would think it would be better to have the ratings as a page on each site. Mind, I suppose it is good to hear the thoughts of the fans of your opposition too, which is easier if the site is separate. I do really like the idea of reviews for youth matches, people are always asking for thoughts about youth players as they don't often get to see them. Be good for them to get more opinions on the latest starlet!}

3.) Many thanks Ed

RY {Ed001's Note - thanks for the input, I am looking forward to seeing how it works out now.}

Raver,

While mourinho said that weeks ago only recently did Drogba get injured for 1-2 months and he likes to have 3 strikers. Schurrle can cover but mouirinho may have other plans for him. So its not that "they can't bear any other clubs sign anyone"

He who registers it first, or can prove they used it first, wins, depending on the legislation. I'm not saying they are riding on the backs of tottenham, but the fact remains that if they attempt to sell merchandise some customers might be tricked into believing they are buying tottenham gear. This would be the same issue with counterfeit merch. They can either pay the legal fees or 5000 to change their logos/website/etc. There may be mitigating factors but I doubt fleet would want to hear the courts ruling, if 5000 is too much, then the legal fees would be impossible. Maybe they can try to license tottenhams logo in exchange for cash or adverts.

Maybe being a small club they should have been more conscientious to infringement if they could not deal with the costs associated. As you said they have had 7 years to make a change and havent. I would have been on your side 7 years ago but not now. Them being small or big makes no difference to me. No one is exempt from the law.

Hey goldboy,

did you ever think that may be fleet shouldn't have infringed on this trademark to begin with? I feel sorry for them but this wouldn't have come about if they followed basic copyright and trademark law. I agree that tottenham didn't have to go after them but if they are selling merchandise for profit and using tottenham's reputation and support to increase sales then they have what's coming to them.

To pose this another way. Say you have a business that after many years of grueling work became internationally known and had a well known label/brand mark, another company comes around and tries to trick customers by using a similar logo to get revenue. Would you be ok with that? Most people would say no and that's why the law exists.

Just paper talk. we don't want him and I don't think he would make the side over any of our current squad

If anything we need either Lasogga, or Adrian Ramos(look at his dribbling). Those guys are banging them in and can win headers(stats are similar to defenders), but Chicharito, Remy would be safer options to replace ade.

Also Ricardo Rodriguez of wolfsburg has people talking. I've never seen him. Could he be the solution to our left back situation? Anyone watch the German league?

First priority - Coentrao. With rose injured our weak left side is really obvious

second - sell ade. Get chicharito. he's not playing regularly and always pops up with a goal. I agree with thfc4ever Remy is another possibility

Third - sell naughton and get a decent young rb with potential like danny the costa from the second division in Germany

fourth - sell gomes and/or friedal and get a young keeper and/or promote a youth gk

i would not sell chadli or dembele. I think they have a lot to contribute. Dembele can still produce if we give him a little more freedom in the paulinho role and chadli looks like a potential game changer when he finds his feet. he's still a little fresh but whenever I saw him I think his combination of height, speed and skill will eventually pay its dividends. either on the pitch or in the transfer market. don't forget we got a bargain on him. I would give him 2 years to either show he's a sturridge or a babel
