When you look at our starting Xi and who was on the bench, it really is depressing squad. Anything over mid table would be an accomplishment, we have a squad of squad players and very few players that would make starting Xi for too many other teams in the top 6 or 8 places of the premier league.

It also speaks to our recruitment and scouting - the long list of players acquired that have failed to impress is becoming quite staggering.

I agree yellow. I’ve banged on about it for years now. Our scouts are appalling.
Even the latest additions, Royal, Gil, Gollini, who wanted these players? these don’t make the grade in my opinion.
As for Royal I see Barcelona we’re laughing all the way to the bank.
I also see Conte wasn’t impressed with the goalkeeper even before the f/ up last night.
Before I finish my rant. It’s not as though the club haven’t spent money. They’ve just spent it on shocking players hopefully Conte will have the power to change this.

DR - spot on.
ENIC may not be pouring the type of money into players that some other clubs are. But it’s not as if they haven’t invested in players and facilities. The big question for me hangs over how do we get so many player acquisition decisions so badly wrong.
