apparently we're in for willian now and he decides who he joins in the next 24 hours- and he's just started following paulinho and sandro on twitter AFTER following liverpools brazil players.
would be good but i'd rather lamela? thought?
1.) Id rather have lamela aswell but really and truly is he a target that we can get. now that osvaldo has gone would roma want to sell him. and plus it would hurt liverpool fans a lot more if we got willian and erikson.
2.) Lamela erikson alderweireld and 1 more qulaity striker with or without bale- we're going to be a force this season COYS
3.) Even with will.i.an an erikson in your team we will still beat yous. even if you build the great wall of china in front of your goal we will still score

we've made a £30m bid for 21year old lamela of roma
would be an INSANE signing
alos eriksen of ajax has bigged up spurs today showing he's interested in a move, and we also want alderweireld too
with or without bale (and cash instead)
we are going to be a strong side for this season coming
hopefully this one gets posted unlike the last 2 :(
1.) The only way this happens is Bale has left and Levy and Perez are working together to keep the price of his replacement(s) down for us.

any1 else think we should be more secret with our transfers so they can't get 'hijacked' i.e willian?
happy we aren't getting him
lamela reported to be announced on monday, and I would rather the £30m used for willian can be spent on eriksen and alderweireld for a joint £21m offer, and the remining £9m on a backup striker
hopefully coentrao in the bale deal too

anyone else think siggy is under-rated? he's been great and was great vs espanyol- if he shoots more he'll be dangerous
also, chadli's impressed me-good solid player + flai
would love lamela and to sell bale now whilst we get a great deal from madrid- hopefully including coentrao
1.) Sig definitely under-rated. He came on well at the end of the season, nicks the odd goal, works hard, decent touch, beats people. Great squad player and fine in the first XI whenever required.
Simmo
2.) Supplied the crosses to Paulinho that was disallowed and that resulted in Rose being upended at the weekend. Certainly has a role in the squad and continues to improve as hs confidence in his role improves.

***POSITIVES**
THAT DEFEAT TO MONACO BELIEVE IT OR NOT WAS A POSITIVE
firstly, don't think we played like that due to lacking Gareth Bale- as we had a completely mixed team that AVB would never field in a competitive game, i. e livermore Centre-Back (and soldado and paulinho weren't playing) and Fryers who isn't used to playing in the 1st team and regularly etc.
Secondly, a defeat like this shows our weaknesses when we DON'T have our strongest squad out (showing Levy that we need to make more signings if our main players i. e. soldado, paulinho, vertonghen, kaboul, sandro get injured, as the back-ups aren't good enough yet
Thirdly, it gave some younger players a good run-out, so that they are more prepared to be subbed on and make an IMPACT if there's injuries ( such as how Kane came on for Defoe and bagged a goal) and the likes of Fryers, who's developing very nicely into a first team player of the future, and gave tom carroll a bit more time on the pitch, and a debut for Bentaleb and another junior too.
Fourth and arguably most important, that game showed our major weaknesses and means that Levy will now be more prepared to spend on 1st team targets so that we can actually be a very strong force (maybe AVB fielded this team so that they looked weaker and made levy be more co-operative when it came to looking for more 1st team signings to take the squad to the next-level
1.) As if Levy and Avb needed reminding just how rubbish Livermore, Parker, Huddlestone, Kane are.
2.) I thought first half we passed the ball well especially as we had so many squad players on the pitch. we played typically avb stylee drawing the opposition out and looking comfortable on the ball. second half I thought your lack of first teemers showed but in all honesty it was a friendly and a great run out. not sure about chadli but it is still very early and he did look strong and fast so should prove a great signing rose looked good as did townsend we should have a good season especially if bale stays or we add a couple more first teamers ericson etc
derbyshire dave coys
3.) Also Townsend showing a few doubters he really does deserve a chance.
4.) Fifth you forgot didn't the lads look lovely in their blue strip made their eyes all sparkly! Only plus points were Walker was good Townsend at least tries when outplayed unlike Lennon, Dembele is class, can't see why Huddlestone given so much stick as only one who looked like stringing some passes together and Chadli looked strong enough for PL
5.) The only positive was Townsend. Ridiculous comments and just showed us how thin and weak our 'squad players and youngsters' are. Long hard season if we lose Bale.
6.) I have a feeling if we lose bale townsend will rise to the occasion and be our next club icon
RY
7.) To the guy saying 'ridiculous comments'- you sir don't know anything about your team. the points I made were valid, and for you to say townsend (the ball hogg) was the only positive, is beyond me
Lamela erikson alderweireld and 1 more qulaity striker with or without bale- we're going to be a force this season COYS
£30m bid for lamela been made today apparently {Ed002's Note - Sorry, I would not be so sure.}
Hate to tell you but carlton cole did play in the 'behind closed doors' game vs enfield in which spurs won 11-0 and soldado bagged a hat-trick- a few days before the espanyol game
No way would we be going in for him- more of a rugby player if you ask me!
After finally showing some intent during this window, it'd be a huge kick in the teeth and a step-back if we were to sign him.
Capoue is a much better and more sensible option seeing as he can provide defensive AND midfield cover whilst only costing £8m and at 25 years of age {Ed008's Note - I highly doubt Cattermole is a target! I would expect Capoue to sign..
Apparently we've agreed a £83m deal to sell him next summer- seems good to me? no doubt levy will change his mind then and demand more haha
Adebayor will go to the ACN but obviously if we sign bony then he's not going to the ACN? well he is, so we'd be in the same position come january. j-rod is a QUALITY signing, COYS :)
Thankfully they now want di maria for £25.8m I heard, they can take that rat of a man as long as we get lamela- lamela is much better and younger and is more versatile and a score. COYS
NO WAY would I want lennon sold. He's one of the best at 'skinning' an opponent and when he learns how to cross/pick right option, we should be scoring for fun- as he can be a right chance creator. not to mention that he'll up his game so that he doesn't lose his starting position to willian/lamela
To the guy saying 'ridiculous comments'- you sir don't know anything about your team. the points I made were valid, and for you to say townsend (the ball hogg) was the only positive, is beyond me
Really mate? He was class for spurs last season pulling of some great saves and keeping us in the game- don't forget that today our defence was shambles and had livermore playing as a centre-back, which wouldn't have helped hugo in the slightest
