CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia has expressed a desire to play in England after being linked with a move to Tottenham.

The Ivorian forward is a prolific force in the Russian top flight and is keen on a move to the Premier League and London.

Doumbia, 23, is reportedly a priority target for Spurs and is also thought to be under consideration by Manchester City.

He told Skysports.com: "I am very interested in playing in the English league. Harry Redknapp is a coach African players love, so who knows?

"It is only paper talk at the moment. I want to make a name for myself in the Russian league and in the Champions League as well, the rest will come once I am playing very well.

"My dream is to play in the Premier League, everyone knows that."

Doumbia looks a red hot prospect and I can confirm he is one of 11 players who have been presented to the board. In summary he is very much a target but CSKA Moscow want £18m and Spurs want a no risk squad addition at £10m. Provided Universal Management SA can convince the Russian board to release their star player, I can possibly see this happening if the price is around £12m. Currently only Damiao and Cahill are A category targets, with Doumbia as much a consideration as Akinfeev at this juncture.

Hey folks
i got a fella in the know, well he is actually my old mans' mate. hes involved with spurs' media relations.

this is what has been passed on to me regarding january transfer window.

Work is still being done for a deal with Damiao, tho, Internaticional chairman is asking for 27m
Hunterlaar is another one on levy/Hr's radar.
and also a german named schurrle. i dont really know much about him?

VDV could already be on the way out to AC milan.

Nothing has been done about a deal for Adebayor next year.

Also Ledly King is looking at retirement. this will be his last year. True Champion in my eyes.

No further movement on Gary Cahill.

and last one, i found a bit shocking,
Theo Walcott.. also on HR/Levy's radar.

Cheers all.
