According to some reports -

The reason for our inactivity and everything else is that Spurs have been sold to the Kharafi Family. They are from Kuwait and they tried to buy Liverpool once before. The main man there is the 29th richest person in the world.

Its NOT one of mine and i don't know if it's true - I'm just regurgatating something i read elsewhere, but I thought i'd get it in before the oracle 'claims it' as one of his.

Much Love fellow yids.

I think the main reason for inactivity is due to Daniel Levy Mother passing away last week!!

In Harry and Levy we Trust

Agree8 Disagree2

"In Harry and Levy we trust"! There must have been a typo in that, don't trust Harry as far as I can throw him especially after the last 4-5 months. If you look at the events over the past 6 months of Spurs delisting from Stock Exchange and money needed for a new staduim, the rumour may well be true.

IN LEVY WE TRUST

The Rabbit

PS I'm not a Harry hater just feel betrayed but his actions (or non actions!)

Agree5 Disagree2

I've also read that the main man who runs that family, the one who tried to get Liverpool, died couple years ago.
So again, may just be 'itk' or it's a slow news day in the papers.
Only takes one little planted forum leak.
Saying that tho, now would be a perfect time to sell. Got all the bits in place for the stadium but someone else pays for it nd builds it. Would make spurs very attractive to buy

Agree2 Disagree2

Clearly anyone with a few billion could take over any club, but this link is total speculation. Perhaps the link comes from the potential buyers sources, but I can assure you nothing has been tendered through Spurs.

I would imagine this is just another speculation from the press. Maybe they will link the Sultan of Brunei with an Olympic stadium bid. So they can use it as an athletics track and lose £50m a year.

The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree1

Not sure whether there's any truth to this but i hope not. i don't want my club to become the next city or chelsea...

The Oracle is saying it's not true, then it must be true! Lets face it the oracle get every thing else wrong.

Agree2 Disagree2

Oracle (Thrush) what are you still doing here ? no one believes anything you post on these boards do us all a favour and go away!

Agree2 Disagree1

I think you should lay off The Oracle. He should be allowed to express an opinion with being slated by people who don't put their name to a post. If you come to this site for facts then you're in the wrong place. It's called Spurs Rumours! Right or wrong I enjoy The Oracle's musings and his opinion is usually logical and well argued.

Agree1 Disagree1

Spurs banter page is just a click away - no abuse on here please just rumours! Oracle speak away...

Agree1 Disagree2

Quote from above -

"I can assure you nothing has been tendered through Spurs."

Well well well. Thats alright then everyone. No need to panic anymore. Oracle has ASSURED us. Thank god for that. I dont know about you, but that really does put my mind at ease 'cause isnt it obvious ladies and gentlemen? Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis wont/cant do anything without the authoirsation of our all seeing oracle. With contacts and power like this inside the corridors of WHL its no wonder he thinks he knows everything before the press (OPPS) and that is why hes right on everything he says (OPPS AGAIN).

Get over yourself. Roll on July 1st.

Flippit - Nail on the head! even you who has been more than generous with the Thrush over the last year has seen the light and given up on the pooor deluded fool! It would not suprise me if he is writing post from other peoples computers in support of himself!

Agree1 Disagree1

I am glad it has been noted that i have been generous in the past. Its not the fact that hes 0 for 7 in his predictions since ive been coming on here (as you know, ive been on here a while now) - Its the level of arrogence that grates at me more than anything else.

I have continually asked him/her (?) to turn it down a bit - alas to no avail......

Not sure if its true or not but could explain the reason for not rushing to sort harrys mess or to sign any players. The only action is to sell. Maybe because i just read that advaance talks between MrLevy and Kharafi Family. They are from Kuwait and the 29th riches family in the world.Even thow this is not a new rumour is is starting to spread like wild fire. This is somthing i would welcome

Schalke are keen on VDV. I say if we can give them 10m and get Huntelaar aswell then let him go.
Blue Spur

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Huntelaar will not sign a new deal unless they get Van der Vaart. Huntelaar has one year left on his deal. I say go after Huntelaar and not let Van der Vaart go.

Agree8 Disagree1

I would say the whole point of this is that they play well together. I think the whole point of schalke going for him, is for them to keep players like huntellar

Agree2 Disagree1

Schalke are trying to get VdV to keep Huntelaar happy to stop him from leaving.

Why would they sign VdV and let the highest scorer in the Bundesliega leave?

Huntelaar is one of the highest and most consistent scores in Europe over the last 18 months, so you have the finances the wrong way round to. It would be US having to pay the money and give players this deal, not the other way around.

Also, I have to ask which team would ever value a player who cannot make 90 mins, regularly struggles with his hamstrings and who's goal scoring is erratic to say the least higher Han Klass Yan Huntelaar ??

More thought required in his one I think.

Flippit

Agree1 Disagree2

On second reading it looks like I read this the wrong way around - my bad.
Flippit

Agree0 Disagree2

The reson they want VDV is so they can hang on to Huntelaar

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather keep VDV and get him to persuade Huntelaar to join us, i think he would be an instant hit at the Lane.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ideally we would keep VDV and get huntelaar but my thinking was that what we really need is a goal scorer and to.get a quality one we may have to give something else in return
Bleu Spur

Agree0 Disagree0

I say vdv will go as no cl to offer charlie adams is our next signing

Agree1 Disagree2

Huntelaar has a great scoring record. For example, his career ratio of 0.66 goals per game is significantly better than Van Persie's 0.43. However, I think we have missed the boat on him. He will be 29 in August. Since he is currently right at the top of his game, I suspect we would have to pay far too much for a player that might only give us a couple of years of his very best form. Clubs like Manchester City or Chelsea can pay top money for a short-term fix. but not Tottenham. We need to find a Huntelaar, not buy one ready made.
