Hey eds do you know if there has been any interest in kiessling, he was bundesligas top scorer last season and we could get him for a reasonable price, thanks {Ed002's Note - Bayer Leverkusen's Stefan Kiessling is being hawked around English clubs by his agent but interest is thin on the ground.}

Hi ed, is there any specific intrest for any bundesliga players from spurs? Also who is fischer attracting intrest by? Iv heard from many dutch people that they rate him to go to the very top! {Ed002's Note - Viktor Fischer is subject to interest from Milan, Manchester United, Manchester City, Hamburg and Werder Bremen. Ajax is negotiating a new contract with him and I would not expect a move in the summer.}

Torres and his £200k p/w wages - I think not!

15 league goals in 82 league games well worth his £200k a week in 2 and a half seasons. Even adebayor has a better record over the same period and he doesn't even try!

Just thought I would enquire as to the availability of Lukaku. Has he openly said he will refuse the chance to play with AVB again? Will he be first choice for Chelsea, I highly doubt it. I would absolutely love him at the Lane, he's as good if not better than Benteke and would be cheaper. In an ideal world I'd take Lukaku and Benteke, but I am aware we could never afford that.

Benteke isn't worth £25m & I don't think Levy will ever give Villa £25m for him. Benteke will be either saying sorry to Lambert & earning his place back OR he will be training with apparently the villa reserves & lose out on going to the world cup!
Villa have given a deadline of 7th August for Benteke to engineer a move or he'll remain at Villa.

If villa keep benteke, they are not going to plug him with the reserves. All it does is diminish his value and he can leave for even less next season.
they also need a striker as they are selling bent either way.
I read on a very reliable blog that the spurs made an inquiry and a verbal indication of a 12 mil bid which was rejected right away. Villa have thus made it known publicly that they want £25mill, however a £20mill bid should seal the deal according to most sources.

We have Nicklas Helenius, who yesterday looked like the making of another great young player, along with Aleksandar Tonev - we will have no problems!
He is on £25k p/w, Benteke will have to work hard & won't be in the reserves because he wants to play so he gets to play in Brazil 2014 World Cup - its an idle threat because Benteke will want to play!

Kevin Gameiro? I'm hearing Spurs have enquired into his availability.
I'd love to see Benteke apologize just to make a point to young footballers that a club is bigger than a player!

If it was £20 million I don't think that's too bad. Sure it's an inflated price, but when you think of the league market these days, Andy C going for 35 mil and Torres for 50 mil, paying perhaps £5 million over market value for Benteke isn't bad business when he will most likely get us at least 15 goals.
My only concern is that if we get Benteke and sell one of Ade or Defoe, then we STILL only have two strikers. We will still need a third. I don't think any of our youth is good enough to promote yet, and we can't risk having two strikers due to possible injury or international duty etc.

The price is £25m not £20m or £24m.
£25m or you don't get him! We stopped Liverpool & Arsenal having Barry as they didn't match £18m - we'll do the same to you with Benteke!
Agree7

The price is £25 million because you the villa fans think that`s what you should get for him, the reality is that the real price will be somewhere nearer £17/18 million. We are all guilty of overinflating our players.!

The price is £25m because that is what Randy Lerner & Paul Faulkner say it is!
Agree8

Randy Lerner likes a pound note as much as our Mr Levy but, he's also not stupid. He has a publicly dis-gruntled, one-season wonder (so far) player who he paid £7m for a year ago and could get £20m for - it's not a bad deal. If he has a stinker this year then he'll be worth jack-all mate.
Unfortunately, I think that'd be exactly what happens if we forked out £15-20m on him!

Aston Villa have no obligation to sell Benteke at a low cut price so if villa want £25 million then stingy daniel levy will have to pay that fee.

He doesn't have to play if he ends up stuck at Villa. We'll just play Helenius who if anything can just be better than Benteke.

Barry & Young said they wanted to leave - but we kept them both for another year because no-one paid what we wanted & the next year they did!
We'll do the same to penny pinching Mr Levy if he isn't willing to cough up right now. BUT - in 12 months we'll want £30m-£35m if Benteke has another good season & world cup!

Lots of eluded Spurs fans.
If PL is willing to marginalise the likes of Bent, Given, Ireland etc all of whom earn considerably more than Benteke he will have no quarms about making Benteke train away from the first team. Sure Benteke might go on strike as he reportedly did at Gent but, unlike Gent, Villa have replacements for him and will no longer have to pay his wages. PL can afford to hold on to Benteke for 12 months and still make a fantastic profit on his initial investment.
Guess you'll be selling Bale for £35m then?

Benteke will be a spurs player next season, villa don't have a say in it. Once that transfer request goes in then it's over. Any businessman in the world wouldn't/couldn't turn down a hefty profit in a space of 12 months.

Let Villa keep Benteke in my opinion. Totally over rated player in a terrible football team and club.
Lat season some of the top goals scorers were Demba Ba, Rickie Lambert and even Adam Le Fondre
Worse still in 2011/12 Dempsey, Adebayor, Yakubu and Holt were all right up there on the goal scoring charts.
The truth is one year hype is really dangerous, and whilst at 22 Benteke might turn out to be good, nothing to date has looked that special in my opinion.

Really having a good laugh at the comments lads, reality is that you will get benteke and will pay over 20mil as you'll have to as all other players your trying for don't want to sign for your "big club" lol. The big clubs I. e Chelsea, arsenal, man u and city don't have problems getting players they want and in arsenals case they don't need to spend much. Ever get the feeling your punching above your weight? Think it'll become clear next season! Ps I'd like to wish bale all the best in the Spanish sunshine at a big club with no penny pinching chairman.

Alot of bitter villa fans, I'm sure they should be venting there anger at Benteke not at the spurs forum. Not his fault he see's villa as going nowhere blame your chairman. P. S on the subject of Chelsea and City being big clubs - that is because a lot of cash has been injected by wealthy owners. Spurs have actually built a side on a cheapish transfer policy so are doing very well.

Whether Benteke stays or goes remains to be seen, but I am fairly certain Lambert will be canned by mid-season and Villa are certain to be relegated this season. I like all the tough banter from the villa fans. They should sell Benteke this season and make a tidy profit now for 20 million rather than be forced to sell him on the cheap next season, they will need cash to soften the blow once relegated.

I pray we are preparing a bid for benteke or soldado.
