Ajax fanzone have just tweeted that FDB is leaving Ajax.
Now, if he goes to Southampton I will be one p*ssed off supporter.

2.) 27 May 2014 16:37:57

Apparently Spurs are looking to bid around £18m for Bilbao player Muniain!

I really hope so. He's class. He can play out wide and in centre of midfield, has pace, and can score!

SpursDave

1.) Sounds good. I can't see us spending a penny in this window

2.) Report saying were trying to hijack Liverpools bid for Konoplyanka?

Eriksen SIGNED!

1.) Erikson deal confirmed on Spurs official sight

2.) On the Fbook page too. With tradition there is always a deadline day transfer. will that continue. I fancy a surprise!

Dee Dee

3.) Could he of been registured on time for sunday because the pic was obviously taken during the day

4.) I believe all of today's signings should be eligible to play this weekend.

5.) Fan-f*ckin-tastic signing! This is the guy I've been clamouring on about for what seems like two seasons. Great vision, delivery and brain. Once he gets up to speed with the pace of the EPL, this guy is going to be Soldado's best friend. Have to say I'm absolutely delighted with today's acquisitions, but especially this one. Levy, Baldini and AVB - take a bow! Good work my friends, good work.

Now all we have to do is delay the Bale sale to prevent any Real players strengthening our rivals.

The last few weeks have been unbelievable. No club has ever been so active in the transfer market, and whilst personally I think we might experience a few teething problems in terms of the team and squad gelling, I think we have just set out our stall for not necessarily this season, but certainly the 2014-15 one. Roll on the good times. COYS!

6.) Surprise. Baines perhaps?

7.) Baines. now that would be a suprise signing. not in this window. nothing suprises me anymore. it could be bale stays. suprise!

I hope I'm not the only one thinking this, but it's a bloody relief that there has been no drama at White Hart lane this transfer window. at least so far anyway.

In last few years we've had so many stories hitting the back pages. the Berbatov, Modric and Bale sagas, Harry and the England job, Harry going to court, Harry then being sacked, AVB getting sacked.they've just been such a distraction.

I believe this summer because we've just sat back, signed a few decent players, and just got on with a pre-season without losing a game, I just have this good feeling we'll do better than what we're expecting.

Looking forward to seeing what Lamela and Soldado can REALLY do this season.

SpursDave

1.) No drama - like us reportedly offering as many as 11 players available for sale at the right price? me thinks you should have waited a day or 2 :-)

2.) 13 Aug 2014 22:36:26
Drama? The thought of us getting rid of up to 11 players excites me!

Would be more than happy to see Dawson, Naughton, Townsend, Kane, Carrol move on, would even let Lennon, Kaboul and Chadli go if the money was right.

I'm not saying they are all bad players but Kaboul is injury prone and when he does play he doesn't exactly fill you with confidence, Lennon is pretty decent until he hits the by line and his final ball is dot cotton! Townsend! Well let's just say "going for glory" has never been more apt, all for himself that boy and can't see that changing. Chadli only ever going to be a squad player and Dawson, Naughton,Kane in my opinion just aren't good enough.

I remember a few years ago mocking the Arsenal for not having many players in the England squad.

Now look.

Not a single Spurs player.

Allbeit Walker would have made it had he been fit.

I miss our British spine to the team. Seems we have gone foreign in recent times.

Players like Crouch, Defoe, Huddlestone, King, Keane, Bale, Parker in most recent times….

But looking at our youth squad, we have a heck of a lot of talent waiting to break through. Let's hope next season we get to see more of the likes of Kane, Pritchard, McEvoy, Coulibaly, Fredericks!

SpursDave

1.) Dave, not sure if Coulibaly is English

{Ed008's Note - Ivory Coast..

2.) Nice, constructive reply.

3.) Sorry but seriously, good young British players are rare, and very expensive! I hope that this country can produce excellent talent, not only for us but for the national squad but we stifle our kids from school age upwards . Good kids are handicapped because its unfair if the little fat kid can't win, or teams are handicapped so other teams win because we don't want their confidence to drop, its not all about winning, it's all B******s . We are so PC in everything we do, too scared to upset the apple cart . It maybe a game but it is all about winning . Players don't do this for love, they do it for fame and the money . They might love the club they play for, but that's not why they play . Until we install the winning mentality into our kids, and the fact that there will always be a loser, don't let it be you, we will always be second best and the foreign teams and players will rule . At present we have a manger who follows the same rules, who admitted that his philosophy is, I pick who try's the hardest not who is the most skilful, that's bull***t . Tell that to players like Ginola, George Best, Rodney Marsh, even Bale . Players that drifted in and out of a game, doing nothing for 80% of it and then winning the game with one bit of SKILL . Compare them to the headless chickens that run around, looking busy and winning nothing! Actually we have a couple in our team and they do seem to be TS's favourite players!

4.) Mckevoy is Irish

I'm personally looking forward to next season.

I hope we get players like Carroll, Livermore, Holtby, Assou-Ekotto and see how they get on next season.

SpursDave

1.) Why Dave, so apart from Holtby and Carroll, they can prove we were right in getting them out before! We don't have problems in the midfield, we need to play the players where they should be played, it's our forwards and defence, especially left back, that needs sorting, plus our worst position that needs filling, THE MANAGER

2.) 3 in 3 for Kane, can't argue with that Davo.

3.) We needed a left back when Ekotto was here, capable technically in all but positioning but utterly brain-dead most of the time, he cost us goal after goal. However, wanting him back shows how desperate we are! Holtby hasn't really done anything much for us, most like him for reasons you'd think Sherwood would rate him, because he tries hard. Livermore? I think Capoue will be better and Sandro is better, Bentaleb. probably will be better if not ruined by Sherwood. Carrol - never seen enough of him at top level, word from mates of mine who go to QPR regularly is he's not all that. He's not just small, he's tiny so needs to be an exceptional footballer to warrant a place in the middle.

4.) Problem is Hass, I could have scored all 3 of them and with my knees that's saying something!
He's not a bad player but he wouldn't get in any of the top ten teams in the PL!

5.) Problem is Davo, and I share your views of Kane, Kane is playing for a top 10 team and scoring more than the other 2 strikers since he started.

Not too sure what that says.

6.) What that says is TS has a problem with star players! Soldado hasn't had one game where we have played to his strengths!

I'm absolutely fed up with watching us gifting goals to other teams.

It's hard enough that they're better than us. But we should at least make them work for their goals.

Enough is enough.

I want my football club back. Levy out.

It is my understanding that because Ings is under 23 years old and homegrown, there are rules in place meaning clubs have to offer money for a player, even if they will be out of contract.

Clankers.

Don't be daft to think just because ssn say something it means it MUST BE true.

They're a media outlet the same as any newspaper and will grab onto any story to get viewers.

I won't believe this story until the transfer window shuts. Anything can happen.

He has PL experience.

We have to remember we are not the biggest club in the country and will not have CL football next season.

Kalou hasn't actually got a bad record when you look at it!

Would be decent for the price quoted!

Shane Long is a very hard working young player who I personally feel is better than Defoe. I wouldn't mind having him at Spurs.

My personal best XI would be

Lloris

Walker
Vertonghen
Fazio
Rose

Lamela
Capoue
Dembele
Eriksen

Soldado
Adebayor

Bench:

Vorm
Dier
Davies
Bentaleb
Townsend
Chadli
Kane

In a simple 4-4-2 system.

Some players haven't done enough to deserve a place in the squad. Lennon for example. Was great 5-6 years ago, but no progression.
