Not sure, and I cannot see it anywhere else online, but there are strong reports that AVB has gone, according to a Spanish radio station. Its probably bull but its the only good thing that might come out of today.

We have gone from 4 weeks ago having the meanest defence in Europe to today and having no defence, and conceding 15 goals in last 5 prem games.but on the plus side we won 6 out of 6 in the europa non league.

AVB, I am sorry but I want u out of my once feared, but now laughed at club.but who can we bring in

Supporters are blaming avb but are the players his choice you only have to look at history spending a fortune on players doesn't make a team, the new guys for whatever they are paid have got to get used to new culture perhaps away from family get behind the team.

2.) 16 Dec 2013 14:01:18
Let's hope the new manager can speak English to the media my guess it's a done deal don't make it cappelo please.

3.) 16 Dec 2013 14:08:18
The board are to blame, the way football is going there won't be a manager in the league who hasn't been sacked if levy was at man united moyes would have had the same fate by know.

4.) The shortlist for Spurs new manager is pretty poor, for your club's sake I would not pick any of them. It's a shame because you do genuinely have the squad to compete, more so than a lot of other teams (including Everton) but the organisation just is not there at the moment. Ralf Rangnick would be an excellent manager, solid, organised, knows how to pick his best 11 and rotate the squad effectively. He almost became the Everton manager instead of Martinez. All the best anyway, it's a shame to see Spurs in this situation!

5.) 16 Dec 2013 19:26:48
What we all want to know is did ab buy the players if so he is to blame . Big errors have been made who, s going to hold their hands up bet its not the chairman.

6.) 16 Dec 2013 19:35:44
All I hope is spurs don't go with anyone who has been out of the game for years. The tv pundits talk a good game. It's far easier to pick fault when not involved with the club .avb has not become a bad manager overnight the Europa league has effected spurs as it did with Newcastle last year .

7.) 17 Dec 2013 10:12:05
I wasn't a fan of avb at first but he seemed to have mellowed. I'm sure he did his best but a few defeats in the prem league and the managers out today . Spurs could have reduced the ticket prices by half with the millions they have paid off to sacked managers

seeing reports that, according to de Boer, Eriksen is a done deal, had his medical this afternoon and is expected to be in the squad on sunday.

Also like how Theo (reckon they are still stronger) and bambi (another 5-2 will be good) have done our teamtalk for sunday

what a fantastic transfer window if we complete these 3 in the next 24 hours, and I do agree that I believe there will be a rabbit pulled b4 11.00pm monday just dunno who.

Was watching the champ league draw and after pot 2 was thinking our neighbours were lucky again. than at the end of the draw I went on a betting site and saw that they had gone out to 40/1 to win it.those of you who don't do betting if you put £10 on you win 0.

i keep reading that we think a deal for Bale has already been agreed that's why we r spending all this money but I don't agree with that. what about all the tv money for this year, apparently that's above 50mill plus the money D.L puts aside for transfers for the season plus the money from sales.

i just have a feeling that he will stay for one more season, and if we still have not reached CL, which if we can be lucky with injuries plus add Capoue, Contreau(spelling) and Eriksen I believe that fourth is a minimum.

My wish for the season would be to see AVB use the europa and capital one cup for fringe players and keep the first team squad fresh for the league and FA cup, therefore giving the likes of Carroll, Falque, Coulthirst and coubabily(spelling) so much needed first team action.

1.) So you are saying DL is spending money he does not yet have and RM have let GB stay at Spurs till the end of the window for what reason considering they are paying a world record fee for him .
I find the way some people are writing things and guessing things very strange . Have you ever done a jigsaw puzzle because it does not sound like it .
This is DL here we are talking about the man Alan Sugar said was the hardest man he ever had to deal with when he sold Spurs .

Just a question to fellow Spurs fans, obviously not many of us on here want Benteskey so who do we want to wear the mighty white shirt?

Personally I would like to see Dzeko or Torres as I think they both could have a point to prove and would both relish being the top striker at the club as opposed to second or third choice. But as other people have commented on I could also see Bale put up top and us getting another one or two wingers in which could also work.

thoughts please

Having said all that just spoken to Oracle and he has informed me we are on the verge of signing someone by the name of Damiao, whoever that is LOL

1.) Good call on Dzeko, I think he should be a target. Maybe £20-22m would do it and be much better than Benteke! Agree on Torres being worth a punt at £15m or less, that is cheap for a World Cup winning striker who like others has suffered under Drogba shadows, a big-price tag and the Chelski managerial circus. After that Soldado, but looks unlikely to leave (test them with £20m on the table though). Martinez looks good but big price tag. Surely there are some cheaper, lesser known punts out there too, shouldn't scouts be working on those and suggesting somebody?
Bent back for £5m it is then haha. Funnily enough I bet he'd get goals as a loan front man in our side now (but no, I'm not advocating signing him, even though we may get nobody!).
Simmo

2.) Simmo, what scouts?

3.) Simmo,

In all honesty, as much as I don't want him back, if it come to it, I would rather have Bent at £5m than Benteke at £25m.

Although I would love to see Dzeko or Torres, this wouldn't happen although we could afford the fees I think wages would be a massive stumbling block with both more than likely earning in excess of £150k a week. As for our scouts we defiantly have some unfortunately all they seem to do is sit on their asses.

Out of all of the strikers we have/are linked with I would most like to see Soldado, however he seems intent on staying in Spain after that probably Jackson Martinez, but again can not see that happening.

I just hope and pray we sign the striker we so badly need and at the same time hope and pray that it isn't Benteke!

feel for Chris and his boys today at the library. We saw how hard it was 11 v 10 (or 9 if you count ade) on thursday night for 30 mins but for Norwich to be 10 mins from doing us a massive favour to then see that lot bring on 3 extra players and take no-one off. what a feckin joke those officials are. One of the Norwich players tweeted that how can one linesman not even see the difference between corner and goalkick to another one who could see a shirt pull from 60 yards away, which the ref didn't see from 10 yards (or less).

Lets hope Everton do us a favour on tuesday night otherwise by the time we play citeh on sunday we could be 7 points behind them although I do believe it could well be us and them and not chelski cause I think Rafa wants trophies on his CV

LOL. this added to his last post and we are going to sign about 8 players including Willian (just gone to rich russian side for 30 million and mega wages) Robben, Higuain, modric back plus others that I can't remember, oh yeah Damiao and Moutinho, how could I forget.

With the way we are playing at the mo it will be difficult to see us finish in top 4 but I agree with another post from earlier that after selling 2 great players in the summer and signing 2 average (dempsey and sigg) this season is a rebuilding one. I think that Bale will do at least another 2 seasons at the Lane and in that time I expect AVB to take us to the next level and get the players that HE wants not who DL wants.

Wrong thankfully. but we do need a quality striker. as I have said before Dzeko if we could get him, think he would like to be first choice and may be worth 15-20 mil and sign Chadil and offer 'arry parker and 4 mill for Remy as cover for wings and upfront.

Really looking forward to next season if we can have some luck on the injury front and sign a quality CF think we could challenge.

Yeah I agree, my above post was sort of a question why is no-one else interested? personally I think he is a very good player. Madrid won't sell him to us unless Bale is involved so hey can do one. Would love us to sign Gomez, Bernard, Villa and Soldado/Negredo, whilst offloading ade, parker, and I fell we should blood some youth

Not sure but why is no-one else going for him at 25 million (utd, citeh, chavski, us or any other big clubs).

Yes we were poor, so were the other lot against qpr, but we don't need other results to go our way its in our hands. if we win our next 3 games, which I think we will, then at least 4th is ours. If u look at it we have chelski- toughest but believe we can do it stoke- not playing great and are safe, but our old boys like to prove something to us and then sunderland- who have just had 6 put past them by villa.

chelski have utd, us, villa away and then everton so by no means have hey got it easy.

the other lot have wigan at home, wigan won there last year 2-1, and then they have newcastle last game by which time newcy could be fighting for there lives.

all in I think we have a great chance of getting at least 4th. COYS

Apart from Lennon not playing (not even in squad) and ade playing (god give us strength) its not bad. Dembele back in the middle where he belongs and BAE not in defence, where u feel he can always make a mistake, but on the wing (quick, got a good left foot)looking forward to this.
