Hey guys first time back for a while.
Just to throw my two cents into this January window for spurs.
I don't think we sign anyone.
At a push a striker. But I don't even think that. I feel Sherwood would like to give a try to chadli, siggy, Lamela, in that area if soldado Ade or Kane can't play for whatever reason. And I feel any of those 3 would be decent 3rd choice strikers / second strikers. In a 442 or 4411.
I do hope we are looking at a LB. Even if it's just to recall Benny. But we need cover there. Rose is just returning from injury and hopefully will hit the form soon where he left off from before the injury. Because I challenge anyone to say he was bad Because he was looking very promising. I would have said from this league Oviedo but well that kinda won't happen for a while, or santon but it depends how much we would have to part with for him. And Ben Davies is looking very good, or even a back up for now Neil Taylor is also capable. But I think he would cost in excess or 6m whilst Davies would probably be only available past the 10m mark.
I don't see us selling any of the new recruits we got in the summer,
Although I heard mentioned that holtby could move in a loan deal to a PL club i'd be all for this. * I know he wasn't a summer recruit *
I just don't see too much happening selling wise or buying wise. And it makes me nervous with the likes of Man U probably strengthening with 1 or 2 more exceptional talents like mata before the end of jan. And the likes of Liverpool probably sorting out a holding mid cover or defence. Which I think is their only weakness.
And to top it off the oil rich clubs of Chelsea and city will just buy the biggest and best names available to keep plowing ahead.
Whilst arsenal don't need much other than a striker. But I don't think that will damage their position to much if giroud goes down for an extended period.
The bright points of Sherwood being here is definitely the goal scoring seems to be doing well.
And the rise of young bentaleb.

Also I feel if he does get his fitness back and finally becomes healthy he will be a massive part of what happens to our league position.

Ed 2 you think we will actually buy this window? I don't see it myself. Not from a monetary respect. But I've not heard a single link to a LB and I think that's top priority. Wether it's to replace rose as 1st choice or to have another youngster to have them duke it out for the LB spot.
A young striker maybe. But I'm skeptical.
And sales. Who do we think could be on the way out? I really don't see Capoue or chadli being sold so soon. Lamela won't be given up on for a good year or two maybe longer. And holtbys misses just moved in to England to be with holtby. Unless he's going on loan to a pl team. The odd one out could be siggy?
And please dear god let the guarin and vucnic rumours be absolute bullcrap
