The contrast between our form and everton's at this stage of the season only goes to show how hard we should work to get Moyes. He has a smaller squad yet by trusting players he rotates, takes a bit of short term criticism and ensures great results in the long term. HR played the same players week in week out, got the short term plaudits while knackering our best players and giving the rest of the squad no playing time to gain any kind of form. HR has done brilliantly for us but he lives in the short term, to go to the next level we need a manager who's main objective is to get results in the long term not to get the plaudits in the short term. Please Levy pull out all the stops to get Moyes. No disrespect to EFC fans, it's a great club, which should be competing right at the top of the league, but in this era when money is everything we must have a chance of luring Moyes. COYS
From a horses mouth at spurs. We will announce a new manager and wish Harry luck with the England job at the end of the season. The chap on banter seems to be right. The smart money Is on didier deschampes. Spurs will announce the new stadium will start to be built and then spurs will be sold. The future is looking bright. It does not depend on cl football. For the time being at least
I wouldnt mind brendan rodgers or paul lambert as manager both play football as it should be played.
I'm sorry I just don't want Moyes. The thing about his teams is they are very average, but always raise their game for a big club when the sky sports cameras roll into town. None of his 'big money signings' have particularly impressed me, he plays negative football that is not the spurs way, and this idea that just because a manager is successful on a small budget means he will be at a big club isn't true; just look at hodgson at liverpool
I do not agree that players need to be rotated to avoid them being"knackered". They are full time professionals and at their level of fitness should be well capable of playing a game every week and sometimes twice a week. Look at MU. They play all their top players week in and week out and are normally chasing up to four trophies a year. We had only the league where we played our full team (reserves in the cup and in Europe). I believe it is down to a very strong manager(Fergie) who commands and receives total effort every time from his players. Why did we loose or draw nearly all of our last twelve games last year and are now doing the same this year. Home to Wolves, Stoke and Norwich and only 2 points out of nine and one of these due to an added time header from VDV. Harry should be fired. Any other manager with his record over the last 10 games would be under serious threat of dismissal. 10 points ahead of fourth place about 6 weeks ago and now looking like being 5 points behind them tomorrow. Disgraceful performance with such a talented bunch of players.
The Don {Ed001's Note - United rotate their players more than any other team in the league.}
