Is this the same ganso that was going to united last year for like 20 mil

Yeah last year of his contract and he has said he will not sign another so they reckon he will cost 8mil, doubt it will happen though- things like this never do for us

He isn't that good anyway.

I hear he sprints a 100m in over 14 seconds, far too slow to play in the Premier League

Ed, how likely are we to see Moutinho come in during January now?
Or is this more likely to be a Leandro Damiao type "never-going-to-happen saga"?
In other news, how much game time can you see Caulker getting this season? {Ed002's Note - I would not expect Moutinho in January. It has always been more likely that Damiao would move in January, but I would not hold my breath over a move to Spurs.}

It's probably best to let go of any hopes of any of pur previous transfer targets, I'm not expecting to see any in January, maybe some new signings of players that have not been previously linked

Tbh I'm not a huge fan of buying in January, sure you could get a Cisse or a Jelavic but 9 times out of ten you get overcharged because teams think your desperate and don't want to lose their players in the middle of the year anyway

I agree that buying in January can sometimes be a bad idea, but there are very good reasons why you might want to.
Covering injuries (or the African Cup of Nations) is an obvious one, but so can be providing some fresh competition. If players are slacking off it can be good to bring in someone that will put a bit of pressure on.
Also there are opportunity costs to not paying a higher price for someone in January. Last year with us in 3rd place and just a few points behnd the Manchester teams we looked nailed on for CL football. Instead of cashing it in then and getting players on the promise of their expectation we dithered and lost out.
Paying an extra 10 or 20 percent in January to push for a top 4 place could pay for itself.
Wulf.
