Dejan Lovren is once again being considered and with Lyon needing to raise funds could prove a possibility

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Lovren is not a transfer target albeit he was scouted twice. He has not been proposed to the board for agreement to pursue him and will not sign in January.

Oracle u are full of **** bet you didn't know Tottenham tried to sign lovren before he went to Lyon ok he might not be a Target. this January but he is someone Harry likes so don't pretend you know what happens at boardroom level

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually Oracle he is one of the players under consideration and nothing has been decided yet including Cahill who you seem to think is an agreed deal, but it isn't, so stop making things up

Agree0 Disagree0

We have been connected with 3247 players over the last year, but the article was referring to January. I was just confirming that he is not currently a target which means he is highly unlikely to join Spurs at any time in the short term.

On the Cahill point just wait a little longer and watch him dressed in Lily White in the new year.

The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but no deal has been agreed on Cahill and Lovren is a player that is being watched again. We were interested in him before he went to Lyon and he would have been happy to join us instead of Lyon for obvious reasons but Lyon offered more than we wanted to pay at the time. Now he is very much under consideration again. Harry has said he won't be signing anyone but striker is a definite and CB will probably happen but there is no definite target at this stage justa list of possible options

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly let me confirm that an agreement for Cahill has already been made.

Lovren has been scouted but he has not as yet been even proposed as an acquisition target for consideration. I am not saying that he is not a possibility but as we currently stand he is as much a legitimate target as any other footballer who has been scouted by Spurs. We have 60 staff who work in the scouting sphere and just to give you a few names recently watched: James Forrest, Huntelaar, Renato Tapia, Eder, Roberto Jiminez, Luke Shaw, Eren Dirdiyok, Doumbia, Jeremy Berthod, Serdar Tasci, Florian Lejeune, Brkic, Eden Hazard, Vertonghen etc. Even David Pleat is looking to join the scouting tmranks with promises of many more legitimate targets. You see the point is there are actually always around 120 players being scouted at any given time, and therefore one needs to review only those tendered as approved transfer targets. Once again I can confirm Lovren is not currently a transfer target but merely a scouting possibility.

The latest rumour regarding Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen is complete fiction and press hype.

We all know that Harry Redknapp has a tendency to request the purchase of older players, and Pienaar 29, Parker 31, Gallas 34, Cudicini 37 and Freidel 40 are evidence that it can work. In reality though both Pienaar and Cudicini have missed many games and never quite reached their previous younger pre Spurs form. Gallas is now injury prone and Friedel has flattered behind a solid defence. In addition Harry nearly brought in Beckham so his appetite for ageing former stars is evident.

Whilst experienced players can help nurture younger talent, we already have Cudicini, Freidel, King, Gallas, Pienaar, Parker, Pavlyuchenko & Defoe who are over 29. If you statistically look at these players as a group, then you find an injury list as long as your arm.

So I can firstly confirm that Owen and Ferdinand are not
currently targets for January, and cannot possibly make a
case for them joining the squad. Both have been plagued with injuries for years, and Smalling has demonstrated like Hernandez that youth alongside the like of Vidic and Rooney is a much better option.

Damiao and Cahill will both sign in January and any suggestions to the contrary are just propaganda. Fulham next for an easy reverse of our latest humiliation at their hands and straight into 3rd a point behind Man Utd after this game in hand.

Who let this nerd out of the box-again.

The point that you refer to a story that has been released by caught offside com in to the public domain show’s me exactly what you are about! They talk more bo!ocks than you, but only just to be fair.I am pretty certain that no one actually thought this would happen especially for 10m and let’s be honest anyone can make reference to older players being injured but in reality it would be down to them having no sell on value as Harry has been quoted saying today regarding Scott Parker .I Think you need to be bit more internet trolling to make it look like you know what you are suggesting but once again utter.... i will let the other fill that part in.

Danny

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasnt able to open the caught offside page so I thank Mr O for bringing it to my attention.

As I have posted before - both Ferdinand and Owen would have been good additions to our squad - about 5 years ago. So I'm pleased that i am not the only one hoping that this doesn't happen.

Flippit.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope you know something that 'Arry does'nt because he he has been quoted as saying that we will not be signing in the January window transfer!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Very much agree with your post except for 'Friedel has flattered behind a solid defence'.

They haven't been that solid really especially in centre defence and without his 40 odd years experience some of the games we have played wouldn't have come out as favourably with some superb goalkeeping.

Agree0 Disagree0

Danny I am lost by your aggressive tone. I am indeed refering to the Caught Offisde post and stating exactly the same as you that it is utter nonsence. Can I ask you to read what I write three times first then try a response as you always seem to make immature aggresive and insulting replies that frequently miss the point.

Anyway I am glad we all agree that they are not coming, that caught offside is utter tosh, and soon with Cahill and damiao we will challenge for the top three.

The Oracle

Dear Mr Flippit

Nice that we are finally united in our thoughts. Caught Offside will undoubtedly post Bale to Barcelona, Defoe to Arsenal and Beckham and Higuain to Spurs.

I hope that our fans can unite and help drive the team to top 3 spot. I know that Cahill and Damiao will be at WHL soon, but I would love to see Hazard join them and challenge Lennon to a little competition. I however know that he is not a target and I feel that is a bad mistake.

The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree0

^^ ha ha this plank even answers his own post. Harry has said today Spurs wont be signing any player in January. I think i would rely on him rather than some of the most ridiculous, wide of the mark conjecture that you come up with.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha who ever you are sign you posts and stop hiding behind your computer screen throwing jelly at the crowd.

Do you think Harry Redknapp is the type of person who doesnt have the ability to play the press. He uses the press to make his points in a very clever way. No manager in their right mind will tell you his transfer targets until they confirm the transfer. Saying you are interested in Tevez and Ferdinand etc is NOT a statement of intent. Sure if any manager could sign Tevex for £1m on a £50k a week contract who wouldnt sign him. So these statement coming from Harry are merely to fuel his transfer activity. Stop believing what managers and chairman say as they more often do the exact reverse.

Well January is drawing near and when Damiao and Cahill sign you will be walking the 'Plank'

Lastly Mr 'Nobody' one normally replies to his own posts when responding to others who make comment. Conjecture with a time frame is no longer conjecture so have a view after January.

Agree0 Disagree0

^^ From "someone" who doesnt sign their post either,HA!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear Mr O

When your post make sense, I am 110% with you. Never personal fella, yods united to the end.

Dear others

Since when did Harry (god bless him) ever tell the press anything that came true. If he tells us he wants Rio and Owen, I will bet everything I have that it will not happen. Daniel Levy will never allow that one. Yes he sanctioned the Parker transfer (who is about the same age) but look at their injury history.......

Harry will say the same as always - "its a difficult one", "I like this one", "Can't afford that one" etc etc. Its always the same until BANG in comes that exact player anyway. Whomever he says he wants is just a smoke screen to cover the other movements.

Whilst I cannot see the future, I can however look the past transfer windows and see the obvious pattern.

And finally, GET WELL SOON HARRY !

Fippit.

Agree0 Disagree0

My agreement with Flippit on the most important point - Get well Harry.

Come on you Spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

I think rio fardinand are gret decision to take he made this season succsesfully and i think one more cb young

Agree0 Disagree0

^^ Please use spell check or at least review your post to make sure it makes sense, and if you did, god bless our failing education system.

I am glad some people are playing nice with Oracle now, quite the change from a few weeks ago. C'mon the Yids.

Naz

Agree0 Disagree0
