We all knew Adebayor would sign a permanent deal and I am delighted that January is looking the most likely date. A quick £10m deal for a truly world class player is a snip, and at only 27 he is younger than many think.

On a more sinister note it seems Tommy Huddlestone may be surplus to requirements. Whilst still early in the discussions, it is clear he is way down the pecking order to Modric, Parker, Sandro and perhaps even Livermore. I seriously hope that this transfer will not happen, but it is a live debate at board level already. I would be gutted to lose one of the most talented midfielders in the Premiership, and fear that Harry will only push for Diarra should he leave. Let's hope that the board realise that he has a place in our team, and accept that Parker is not getting younger.

Summarising the current acquisition plans:

1. Gary Cahill to sign in January
2. Leandro Damiao to sign in January
3. Adebayor attempt to close in Jan
4. Akinfeev currently being considered as a target
5. Huddlestone currently being assesses as a transfer
6. Olympic Stadium deal guaranteed but some exciting twists and turns as finer details are agreed.

I feel that the Stadium along with Cahill and Damiao will be great. Akinfeev is the ideal man to join now before Freidel collects his pension. Adebayor was always signing and I agree an early contract is worth the £10m before any vultures try to move in. Lastly Huddlestone must stay and I hope our dear friends at The Guardian are wrong as Tommy is my personal favourite at WHL. give Liverpool Jenas and Bentley if they are so short of midfielders.

Whatever way you look at it Spurs are in a fantastic position. Fulham is a big game which we must now win to keep this momentum and make this our season of glory.

Alpha and Omega of the lane? - more like person of this site.

I am the Alpha and the Omega of the Lane.

Oracle, you still have not answered my question; Are you Phantom Of The Lane?

Well the metro ar such a quality source of information that they have to give them away for free at train stations.

This article says that a Ukrainain team has ALLEDGEDLY tabled a 40 million Euro bid. Shaktar Donesk have clearly taken their defensive players from Ukraine and built up a midfield and striker force from Brazil. Equally they have shown that they can splash the cash when required and therefore the story carries some merit. However this will not happen and Damiao will join Spurs as I have professed all along, sure you believe the Metro if you like but soo the Times and Telegraph will report my prediction.

Sorry Oracle, but it looks like we are not even in the running:

Adebayor world class lol lol, your all dreaming have hard our vdv is leaving this comming summer i dont think we will get 4th this year

Ah come on guys, be more generous, give the girl a break. She is obviously just expressing her deep loving desire and fantasy for her team, albeit a little far fetched and delivered almost plausibly in the style of 'someone in the know'. However, imagine how all that fantasy and passion could be put to much better use ;)

lol - ceefax. Great quip....

Oracle, are you Phantom Of The Lane?

The Oracle is a "she"

I am surprised it has taken him (Ed) this long.

Danny {Ed001's Note - it is because there are lots of different editors. So he must never be getting the same person twice...}

Ha Ha - Even the Ed is bored of "Ceefax aka The Oracle........

Deals can always fall through and must never be taken with certainty. However as certain as it can be the Stadium will be Spurs and Damiao and Cahill will join in January.

Personally I am excited by the potential of Damiao, and feel Cahill needs Gallas and King to mould his talent. sure he has failed to impress this season, but this is a done deal.

Subotic or Hummels looked the real deal to me but look destined to big pay days. Cahill will provide the depth as King and Gallas are faded out, and could still evolve into the world class player he threatened to become.

The Oracle {Ed007's Note - So Damiao and Cahill are certain but not really certain yet because nothing is certain and they are going to make a stadium from them but that's not quite certain either? How can you threaten to become a world class as well... 'Haw Ronaldo/Messi....make me a better player than you or you are getting leathered off my big brothers'????? Oracle is that outdated we should call you Ceefax!}

^^^ I agree Azza, but I cant help but see Bassong and many £ heading to Bolton in exchange for Cahill this coming January. Bolton will have to sell or he'll leave them for nothing in the summer and if Bassong goes the other way they will have a ready made replacement plus some extra money in their transfer kitty to improve their squad elsewhere. Maybe in a decent team like ours, Cahill will rediscover the good form he showed last season. Lets hope so, cause I cant help but think that Mr O is right. I think this deal has already been done.

Flippit.

I would hate us to sign Cahill. If we want to be a consistent top 4 team and win silverware, Gary Cahill is NOT THE MAN. His performances from the start of the season have been dreadful including his games for England.
Tottenham Hotspur PLEASE AIM HIGHER.

Azza

Spurs will be the tenants of the Olympic Stadium through the holding company, a little like lease purchase. The running track and restractable roof options both have 4 different scenarios which include no track, retractable seating through to full running track. The rof options also cover no restractable roof to full retractable with part retactable options in between.

There is a possibility West Ham will get one season as Upton Park is renovated as the crowd capacity requirements would allow Spurs to refurbish and rebuild the stadium during that tenancy. In fact the stadium could be half under construction and still cater for the West Ham capacity.

So the finer details are still being agreed but theOlympic stadium will be Tottenham Hotspurs Olympic. Perhaps the names Spurs Olympic or Hotspurs Olympic ot Tottenham Olympic may be the new name for the club as the Tottenham root will surely be lost with this move East of WHL.

The Oracle

Are you saying that spurs will be the ones moving to the olympic stadium ?
just being tennants and with a running track - i hope not !!

We will sign a striker if pav leaves, and maybe cahill, if were lucky

Damiao Looooooooool You'll Get Nothing

Huddlestone is a class act. i just hope the board sees it the same way!!

^^^ honestly, since when have we ever believed anything redknapp says in relation to transfers ;P

"tottenham's watching eastenders-tottenhams's watching eastenders x3 "

Harry said he does not ned anyone only way i see anyone coming in is if modric/bale or anyone leaves

Mostly agree with you, except we have to remember hudd is injured, so the pecking order is not fully determined yet. Also don't think livermore will be ahead of him yet. also, considering ground work has already started on northumberland park, not sure about the OS
