Spanish press claim Spurs have tabled 25mill bid for Mata; not sure if they meant Euro's?
Anyway according to UK press he has agreed to join the Goons.

Are we really going to sign an attacking midfielder? Can't see it myself.

Chelski lost out in the race for Pastore which means they'll be back knocking at our door with an improved bid for Modders (i'm just guessing at £35m or £20+ Stuirrdge). if we get this guy, expect Modders to be sold as they are very simular players and play in the same possition. We wont be signing him at that price to sit on the bench......
Flippit.

Mata's more offensive than modric, more like a vdv who can play on the flanks

Some speculation that we're keeping tabs on a young 18 year old Brazilian called Lucas (not the Liverpool player - Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva from Sao Paulo). {Ed002's Note - It is not going to happen I am afraid.}
Believable4
Unbelievable5
Why won't it happen Ed? {Ed002's Note - Benfica, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and others enquired and were qouted $130M. An offer (a large offer) was made by one club to buy part ownership of the player and that was rejected. If and when he leaves Brazil it will (a) not be this summer; (b) be on a high value part ownership deal; (c) will almost certainly be to one of the MIlanese clubs.}

Ed, can you shed some light on whether an offer has been made for Gyan, it is being circulated on alot of other Spurs forums. ITKS are commenting that Gyan will be the first major signing {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any offer for Gyan at all.}

As a Sunderland fan it has been stated categorically by Bruce he will be going no were, unless massive bid received as with Henderson we do not need to sell as in good financial position. Sorry to tell you

Realistic Targets:
1: Alvaro Negrado
2: Vucinic
3: £30m + Sturridge
4: Adebayor(Spelling)
5: Samba
6: Affelay
These to me seem the only real targets that we can afford, attract and they would fit into a team as part of the first team.
Potential:
1: Coulaiby
2: Walker
3: Kane
4: Caulker
5: D Rose
These players are on the verge of breaking into the 1st team and rightly so Given the games and confidence they will come good this season...(Play them all in the cup games for sure)
Dead wood and possible club's interested:
1: Keane £6m-----Celtic/A.Villa
2: Crouch £9m(would also sell for £6m)--Sunderland/Newcastle
3: Palacios £4.3m--PSG
4: Hutton £4m--A.Villa
5: Bentley £7m--Birmingham
6: JJ (FREE to good home)---Acrington Stanley
IF we could off load some/all of these players and sign at least ONE of the targets mentioned, I can see us having a good season, probably finishing 5th but close 4th and blooding our young prospects in ALL the cup comp's wether we win or lose. Just stick with them for continuity...
Then to me the future is bright the future is SPURS... COYS

Negredo has just been made captain at Seville and doesn't want to move
Adebayor looks llike he's Madrid bound
Afellay has said he's very happy at Barca even though he's not had much playing time
Levy will not sell Luka
and Samba is no upgrade on what we have
Agree0

Plus, £4.3m for Palacios is far to low. We have already rejected a bid of £10m for him from PSG because Mr.Levy wants to recoup the £12m we paid Wigan for him.
I whole heartedly agree with the valuation for JJ though.......
Agree0
Disagree0
The valuations I set were to get them off the wage bill. lol reference JJ.. Looks as tho we might not sign anyone at this rate as our so called targets are seemingly staying put which is a real shame.
That wont bode well with Modders as we dont seem to be showing any ambition just yet But typical Spurs, we might do something on dead line day...

On his day he is a quality midfielder. he has come to our rescue many times before when we have injuries.

Foxspur stick to Championship manager mate, your valuation of players is shocking, Bentley 7m to bankrupt Brum god sake...
Agree0
Disagree0
Never played championship manager mate I put the values there purely to try guarentee getting rid of the dead wood and probably unlike you mate I'm a season ticket holder and have been for 16 years. Doubt with your attitude you have even been to a game. Probably an arm hair fan(which I don't mind but slating ppl for a rumour valuation is a joke)
foxspur ow and I put my name to my posts mate...
Agree0

I do however agree that £4.3 is too low for Palacios and agree he has been a good player for us saving us when we really needed a combative midfielder. But we need to sell and sell soon to get that class striker we NEED. so £10m for Palacios id agree :-) As for Bentley and £7m thats under half what we paid (£15m) and cant justify any lower than that for him. I put Brum as the club that was interested in him. If they offered that then I could honestly see him go for that...

Why would Harrys court case stop us signing players?

Why would Harrys court case stop us signing players?
EASY. If Harry buys some players then gets banged up 'at her majestys pleasure' for tax evasion, we would have to replace him as manager. What happens to these new players if the (potential) new manager doesnt like or want them? and more importantly to Mr Levy, how many millions of £ would he have to lose selling them again. This is the same reason why most of the sales havent happened yet. Once the court case is over and we know who the manager is we can (and hopefuly will) make waves in the transfer market.
