Levy does not want to spend more than £22 million on any player this summer including Soldado + deal to sell bale to Madrid for 60 million + fabio coentro is close + performance releated add ons

Believable5 Unbelievable18

Levi, won't sell Bale, not this season anyway.

The club isn't that stupid, they know that if we are to get CL football we'll need to spend, look at all the top teams in Europe they all have top class strikers which now days are £20+ million. If they don't get at least 1 world class Striker bye bye my spurs.

Then Levi needs to sell & let some Billionaire take us to next level.

Agree12 Disagree6

Levy does not own the club, enic group (joe lewis) does and he is worth 4. 5 billion. At least know the facts of your club before you slag it of!

Agree13 Disagree3

Levy and Lewis are partners. Granted not equal, but poster is technically correct Levy part owns the club.

Agree5 Disagree4

Why would we want a sugar daddy anyway? If that's what your looking for go support city. I for one love the way we run our club, anyone can win the league spending 200+ million.

Agree10 Disagree5

Not enough to affect anything. If he sold his share, the new shareholder wouldn't be able to do anything more.

Agree5 Disagree2

That's a lie levy is working for enic!

Agree1 Disagree2

Point was enic group is lewis and levy. Not just lewis. People don't seem to recognise this and seem to think levy is just an employee who has to beg lewis for money.

Agree2 Disagree2

Why on earth would levy sell bale. bale is idolized by kids who want to be him and want the shirt with his name on the back. he's advertising the club all over the world. gaining new support. that's $ signs for the club. bale is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and we know how much levy likes money.

Agree3 Disagree0

And how much he doesn't like to spend it. I heard that we will sign Dzeko as well as Soldado. Ade is being sold very soon.

Agree3 Disagree1

Ed's there's rumours going round of a 19m bid for dzeko. Is there any truth to them? I sincerly hope Levy can pull this off. Dzeko would be great for spurs.

Mk1 {Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of.}

Agree2 Disagree0

How on earth did you get to slagging the club off from my post.

You need to read it again.

As for sugar daddy, If your happy just to make the numbers up in the PL you should go down to Upton Park. you anorak. Football has changed, things in life progress, You need to move forward, because if we don't sign new strikers & invest we will be slipping down the PL (Thats a FACT) & if you don't agree then you clearly have NO clue about football, Infact you've probably never even kicked a ball in your life.

Once the new stadium is built Levi & Co (Joe Lewis) ENIC - I better add that as I didn't know he was involved in our club (Thats sarcasm) will sell up.

Agree2 Disagree0

Cant see Man City selling Dzeko to us, but if they did that would be an excellent signing. Completely destroyed us two seasons back.

Agree3 Disagree0

Dr-THFC - who said I just wanted us to make up the numbers? I was saying I don't want a sugar daddy as it ruins the identity of our club. Look at Chelsea and city, the players get replaced every season and there's no loyalty within the teams. Are you saying you don't think we can challenge without a sugar daddy? Poor illusion your dealing with there. As resulting to insults you should grow up, I mean how old are you, 10? You say I must never have kicked a football and know nothing well I think if you know so much then you need to learn how LEVY's name is spelt before you start accusations about what I actually know. Because I don't agree with you doesn't make me wrong, I'm entitled to my own opinion.

Agree3 Disagree3

How on earth does spending money ruin the identity of the club.

Loyalty shown to LEVY (what like Modric, Berbatov, etc)

Chelsea win things, Manchester City starting now to win things. I just want our club to push on as we're so close.

And yes, we won't compete with CL places if we don't spend.

I've been watching spurs for over 40 years, Your correct we all have opinions I don't want to get into a slanging match. you have your views I have mine.

Agree4 Disagree1

Yes very true nobody is debating that but you don't need a sugar daddy to spend money. Run the club properly and like we have you can progress. Imagine there was no sugar daddies in our league then we'd be 1 of 3 teams pushing for the league title!

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a bid for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko

Believable13 Unbelievable6

I wish. He is class and never really settled at City. City would never sell him to Spurs though. Unless it was a sweetener for a deal involving Bale, I reckon

Agree12 Disagree5

Would be a very good buy and it would stop him from scoring against us!

Agree13 Disagree0

Man City don't see Spurs as Premier League Rivals and if Dzeko is for sale then they would sell to Spurs

Agree8 Disagree1

Trouble is Levy won't pull up.

Agree5 Disagree0

I don't think they're that bothered who they sell players they see as not needed to, unless convinced they'd improve Man U or Chelski perhaps. Given how they've over-paid all over the place they would likely just want rid at some sort of decent price.
Dzeko would be fantastic for us but I think Soldado may be done by Monday/Tuesday and doubt we'd get another top striker in.
Simmo

Agree6 Disagree1

Would take Dzeko over Soldado any day. Cheaper and proven aswell

Agree12 Disagree1

Why would dzeko go to spurs? {Ed008's Note - Why not?

Agree5 Disagree1

I doubt Dzeko would be any cheaper. City paid €32m for him, and he's younger than Soldado so worth more. Not to mention he's got a much higher contract at City. In terms of investment Dzeko may be a better option but he won't be cheaper.

Agree3 Disagree0

£20m is the price being mentioned

Agree2 Disagree2

Heard rumor 19m offered for Dzeko. or is Levy using the media to apply pressure on Valencia?

Agree3 Disagree0

£19-20m is a bargain, do it! I'm a Soldado fan but believe Dzeko represents a better and safer deal in terms of age, Prem experience and price.
Simmo

Agree5 Disagree1

How about a season long loan? Wouldn't be able to play against City, but of course can play against Manchester United and Chelsea - who knows he could indirectly win the title for City by scoring for us against one of their main rivals. And let's be honest he is now 4th choice at City and they may only play 1 striker in some games.

Agree2 Disagree1

Manchester city would never sell to spurs. We had a huge falling out with them over bellamy a few years ago.

Agree0 Disagree2

Which is why they sold us Ade?

Agree1 Disagree0

Fell out over Bellamy? I think we came to a compromise on that 1 actually. If you had forgotten they have sold to us since, Ade ring any bells?

Agree0 Disagree1

But you sold Ade to us so your principals aren't that strong!
