Moutinho is 1/2 on to join spurs!.... Anyone know of any bids put In this window?

H the yid {Ed008's Note - Bookies trying to trick the public as always to make money...

Believable3 Unbelievable3

He was 4/9 in the first week in January.
Sneijder was 1/8 to join us too.
I wouldn't read too much into it mate.
They are just covering their own backs incase it happens.

Agree6 Disagree3

Moutinho deal is more then likely dead. Holtby is the new boy in town.

Agree9 Disagree1

People keep going on about Moutinho coming, so why have we bought Holtby and also trying to get him in now if Moutinho was coming in the next week. I would much rather comcentrate on either Willian or Negrado.

Eds, any idea if we are going back in for Son Heung-Min? I've been reading up about him, sounds like he would be a quality edition to the squad. He can play any where across midfield, or as a forward. Has pace and a eye for goal. {Ed008's Note - Average player for me, haven't heard anything from Hamburg if a deal can be done.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Im sure I posted this last week about the player....

yod mark

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't want that hamburg player in tottenham squad he isn't going to improve us. If we are getting holtby early its pretty certain no more midfielders will be joining. I think we will sign one striker and that's it

Holtby looks like it'll happen this window, the difference in fee is around £600,000 but expect this to be ironed out later this month. This will trigger Livermore's loan move to QPR, Huddlestone will likely stay until the summer and Bentley should also be hitting the exit door if all parties involved can reach an agreement - huge loss involved for Spurs, almost a 85% write off on the total fee paid to Blackburn.

'61 Kid

Believable8 Unbelievable0

It is true that we have tried to acquire Holtby in January. Spurs offered £850k and Schalke have demanaded a £2.5m fee take it or leave it offer.

There is absolutely no way we would pay that fee when he is coming in the summer, and unless Schalke are willing to come to terms around £1million then you can forget the deal.

Probability 50/50%

The Oracle

Agree3 Disagree10

Actually they are after 1.6 million not 2.5 I thought someone as itk as you would know this

Agree4 Disagree4

You quote the press article figures, whereas I quote the facts.

The Oracle

Agree3 Disagree2

Please explain where you get your facts ??

Agree1 Disagree3

I get my facts from being involved with the club and decision makers. I could be a non executive director for THFC Plc or I could be a total pathelogical liar and story teller. It seems the majority have me as the latter and are out for my blood, I will let you decide.

The Oracle

Agree3 Disagree0

Are you really trying to suggest a non executive director of a Plc would leak the kind of stuff you do and not risk legal ramifications ?

Kaka on loan ?? Just heard a whisper! {Ed008's Note - He's off to Milan more or less.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

It is absolutely true that spoke to Diego Kotscho about his only player Kaka. The preliminary discussions were 3 weeks ago and we were told to forget it as he was 100% joining AC Milan.

It was abundantely clear that LA Galaxy were given 2nd refusal after willing to meet the financials should the deal fall through with AC Milan.

In summary - Utter nonsense!

the Oracle

Agree4 Disagree4

I heard the milan move is off {Ed008's Note - It's all about agreeing who pays his wages that's the only part that needs to be agreed.

Agree0 Disagree3

Oracle...there you are. Ignoring the banter page are you?? Thought so.
Big brave boy you are.
You just said that someone's post was utter nonsense.
Taken a leaf out of your book I see.

COYMFS.

Agree6 Disagree4

Utter nonsense, Oracle?

The words 'utter' and 'nonsense' come to the forefront of my mind when you are talking about Damiao arriving.

TSGMO

Agree7 Disagree4

COYMFS you are a foul mouthed outrageous little swine, even you name deonstrates your intellectual level. FOr the record I am not interested in what people are writing on the banter page, you seem to have your filth all over it so please refrain from bothering me and stick to your level on there.

Just heard of a possible deal for Gary hooper

Rufus

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Spurs fan from Scotland here, Hooper is not good enough for spurs

I'm not saying I'd like him at he lane it's just what's doing the rounds on twitter, I'd rather see Rasiak back in the white than Gary hooper

Ed, any news on Negredo coming to the Lane? {Ed008's Note - Theirs interest in the player I expect a bid from Spurs for the player when I don't know, Sevilla need to sell wouldn't surprise me if it dragged on till the last day of the window.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

With Damiao on his way we have no intention and don't need to buy Negredo. I think he is a really top quality player mind you, and whoever gets him will be laughing all the way tot he bank.

The Oracle

Agree6 Disagree5

Is this 'Oracle' a collective or does he really live on this site posting about Damaio day in, day out, at all hours? He must be a Gooner intent on winding Spurs fans up with his nonsense.

If he is that confident, will he agree to cease posting if he hasn't signed by 31 Jan......this year!?!

Agree5 Disagree5

If ED would prefer I didn't post again if I am proved to be wrong, then I will consider your proposal.

When I am right however, I will expect boo boys like you to refrain from abusing every person who places a rumour on this RUMOUR site.

The Oracle

Agree5 Disagree0

Oracle

I'm glad you refer to your posts as rumour and not fact, clearly you admit rumours made by you.

You state if you are proved to be wrong, well how could that be if you already know he has signed.

You always make the same factual claims that turn out to be absolute utter nonsense.

Stop pretending your knowledgeable you make out you are involved in our actual transfer discussions which your clearly not as you are always wrong.

Marc

Agree0 Disagree4

That's the thing oracle. You have never been right with your own exclusive.
You regurgitate media rumours as your own. You speak in a demeaning manner to the normal spurs fans that post on here. You use a style of English and a few name drops to try to make yourself sound clever. this has gone in for years now without you ever producing actual fact. Can you understand why poster/readers on this site have had enough of your condescending comments.
By the way, ignoring comments/posts you don't like, doesn't make them go away. We can all read them.

COYMFS.

Agree2 Disagree4

Oracle.....I know a way you can shut all these 'naysayers' up.

If you are so confident about damaio, take up all these proposals, win the bet and laugh at them.
Unless, you don't really know about damaio.
You have the ability to finish all this once and for all but, somehow, I don't think you will.

With sandro out for a while it looks like AVB is lining up a bid for Newcastles Cabaye, absolutely fantastic news!!

Believable6 Unbelievable24

They would never let him go for a fair price with the situation they are in and Levy does not do overpriced.

Shadders

Agree16 Disagree1

Bentley

Agree0 Disagree7

Is he match fit ? Just coming back from injury and went off again at the weekend didn't he ?

Agree0 Disagree5

Maybe huddlestone the other way
Mr g

Agree5 Disagree1

Think he means levy overpaid for bentley, not he can replace sandro!

Agree4 Disagree0

Please do tell where you are getting this info from, your imagination is not what I call news. Does anyone really think that Newcastle will sell one of their top 3 players when they have just been mugged for demba ba. Please ed stop putting these ridiculous post on.
York spur {Ed008's Note - This is a rumours page he his simply posting a rumour and their was interest in Cabaye in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree3

Excellent player - although a huge injury concern with a groin injury dating back to last year.

No chance of Newcastle letting him go given the position they find themselves in.

Agree0 Disagree3

Why some seek to try to abuse the rumour from this guy is astounding. Cabaye is very much an option and infact is in the contingecny plans for the Moutinho deal.

I would surprised if we didn't land Moutinho, but at the right price I wouldn't rule out Cabaye. Great player and certainly worth £8-10 million of anyones money.

The Oracle {Ed008's Note - For once I agree with The Oracle I did explain in the summer about Cabaye being an option if other midfield targets weren't acquired.

Agree4 Disagree2

So now your saying we may not get Moutinho. make your mind up!

Agree1 Disagree2

ED are some people really that thick that they cannot work out that 80% = very likely and not guaranteed.

I am certain half these anonymous posts are the same person, always making assumptions and putting words in my mouth. All I said was Moutinho is 80% likely to complete in January, and Cabaye is a valid contingency is other options fail to materialise. I am lost as to how that is contradictory or even difficult to understand.

AVB quoted in the sun (not reliable I know). "We are aware of the striker situation but think we can cope until Ade comes back and we have done ok without him before".
Doesn't sound like we are going to be buying anyone this window does it?

Billy

Believable7 Unbelievable3

If it is a quote, it's not really a big deal. It's more than likely that it DOES mean we are trying to sign a striker.

Agree4 Disagree3

Just a thought
Like all if us as I said before I'd love a 20-30m striker but why the panic over ade going, he's going to get natch sharp hopefully bag a few goals come back confident and he is only away until 11th feb
He will miss 4 games, 1 of which is Leeds and I'd hope he would start obika / Dempsey and rest J.D
I don't think we will get a striker this month
Essex spurs

Agree7 Disagree2

If Defoe gets a knock then what until mid-Feb? It is a ridiculous situation and we've been pretty lucky to date but, with FA Cup, Europa League two-legs against French title challengers and, every Premier League game more like a cup-final as the weeks tick by we are thin on the ground. The defence has coped with injuries but, Sandro is out and if Dembele is injured we are already struggling for a main man in the middle, Scotty still early into his return, there is NO cover for a main striker and we have had most of the season with only one to pick so often forcing us to play a certain formation. Dempsey is not good enough, regardless of his tap in yesterday, Sigurdsson hasn't played enough and isn't a striker either. It is quite clear that we could've comfortably won the game yesterday (and several others) with a top striker either partnering Defoe or replacing him at some point. How often do Lennon and Bale get the space to deliver but nobody to pick out?!

Agree12 Disagree0

If we aren't careful we could do a Newcastle. Dembele or parker injured..or worse, both!

We'd have Tom huddlestone to turn to....that is worrying.

Agree7 Disagree0

Dempsey is good enough. Scored a decent amount of premiership goals for Fulham.

Give him a starting role and he will bang them in.

Agree10 Disagree6

Have you watched him closely? Sorry but a touch that is far too loose most of the time, can't knock his effort and he will pop up with some goals but when comparing him to VDV as they play similar roles....no contest. Dempsey is fitter and that's about it.

Agree4 Disagree6

I reckon Dempsey will end up with more goals and more assists than Rafa this season. He's fitter, better work rate, scores and assists goals and cost us £6m. Great bit of business by Levy! That's not saying I didn't love having Rafa in the team because he was a player I always dreamed of having at Spurs.

Agree6 Disagree2

I'll take Dempsey over Ade at least he works hard ...and I'd rathe use JD as an impact sub for the last 20-30 minutes of a game to put it away . We need a goal scorer more than anything on the whole we create chances we just are not converting them ...yes we will get locked out occasionally by a team parking the bus ...but if we had someone that could give us 20-25 goals a season those games wouldn't hurt so much.

Hello ed haven't herd anything regarding zaha for a while do we still retain an intrest and can you see us making a bid ? {Ed008's Note - Interest is there but while the quoted price is that much I can't see Levy spending that much on a 'overrated player'

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Im sure someone said that exact same thing about bale once

Agree3 Disagree3

There are literally hundreds of player observations going on, that is the role of the scouts to establish any ridiculous deals. Zaha is not a target and will be coming to Spurs, and I for one am glad as he is no better than Bostock before him.

The Oracle

Agree4 Disagree11

Zaha is far superior to Bostock, you have only made that comparison as he came to Spurs from Palace. Nonsense
