Eds, do any of you know much about Federicho Fazio of Seville, apparently we are close to signing him? Seems strange because a few people are saying we are closer to agreeing a deal for Mussachio.

Don't get why Chiriches linked with move away thought him and Vert together would be a pretty solid partnership
Exactly my thoughts ou812, in Chiriches and Dier I think we have 2 potentially very decent CB's. I would have Chiriches over Kaboul and Dawson any day of the week

Lookslike Dawsons off to Hull, good servant but time to go.
Roma want Chiriches apparently but I rate him highly and would get rid of Kaboul and keep Chiriches.

Cheers hmmm16. I'll be glued to that page also for the next few days. I don't know much about this fella but he seems to be rated by a few people so sign him up and get rid of Kaboul and Dawson and i'll be happy. Just sign Destro/Remy and I will be delighted!

Chiriches never won a header last season when he was challenged his tackles always seemed to be last ditch and he got him self in to afew problems with bad touches. I would say I best cb pairing at the moment would be dier and verts.

Fazio is having a medical.
I think Verts is one of the best CB in the PL, but watching him last night still looks as if his heart is somewhere else . Wouldn't be surprised to still see him
First game game for Verts Davo after the world cup and no pre season. Give him a break!
I find it interesting that top players don't stay in better physical shape during non playing times.
It's not like they have a career that's going to last forever. The lack of fitness of some when they come back from a break shocks me.
Agree there clankers, Vertonghen will be rusty for a few games until he's back to match fitness. I can see where your coming from Davo, he sometimes gives the impression he can't really be arsed but on his day he's superb. I know he was linked with Barca but not likely now they have signed Vermaelen. You hear a lot about players taking the huff because they don't get the move they were after but no point in sulking and not putting on the effort because teams will lose interest if they are putting in below par performances.
Clankers, I wasn't moaning about him, as I said he is one of the best if not the best, centre backs in the PL and I wouldn't want him to go .
