Yes you can get players on loan.once the window has shut. {Ed001's Note - no, there is a transfer window for emergency loans that applies only to the Football League, the Premier League can only sign players during a transfer window. The only players that can join are free agents.}

Ed just done some research see he retired last .. do you he consider playing 4 togo again {Ed008's Note -Togo didn't qualify for the African Nations Cup he did say he would never play again BUT i found this on wiki
"As a result of the events, Emmanuel Adebayor announced his retirement from international football on 12 April 2010. But on 22 March 2011 Adebayor announced that he was again available for the national team."

Well, its that time again, you know, when we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory....
I dont think ive ever come on here and seen so much anger at our lack of signings. Lets be clear about this, the top "four" are starting to pull away again and those teams that were behind us are going to make a real effort to close the gap on us. Where does it leave us? Up sh*t creek! Defensively, we are not good enough, relying on Ledley to chip in with a few games. Can we really blame Dawson for some of his performances? I dont think so, remember his best form has been when he has had a partner for the long term, not chopping and changing every other game. Give the man a quality centre half to play alongside and he will rise to the challenge. At the moment we have three other centrehalfs who cant cut it, one because he is injury prone and two because they aint good enough!! Our midfield is the best area of the pitch but Luka doesnt want to know, does he! Upfront, One loan in and two strikers who wont bang in the goals doesnt bode well and, generally, its all a bit sh*te. Im afraid that this transfer window was more about reducing the wage bill than trying to push the club forwards. I cant be arsed to say much more, others have already said what i think, its a massive disappointment and I think we are in the do, do.
Hope im wrong

Why are so many Spurs fans looking at things with a half empty mentality.

The problem with Spurs was the sheer size of the squad, and the sheer weight of salaries. Whilst huge squad give apparent depth, in reality they fuel rotation and breed mediocrity. Does it really add value to have Hugh wage players like:
Woodgate - Always injured
Hutton - Average at best but Walker better
O'Hara - Tries so hard but average
Jenas - Totally ineffective and overrated
Palacios - Not the same player after family tragedy.
Keane - He was finished the first time we sold him for a fortune to Liverpool.
Crouch - Terrible player who scores the odd good goal to provide hope. The main reason we lost our progression was trying to accommodate a long ball game a giraffe with little ability.
Bentley - Probably the most overrated player since the big money Rebrov signing.

We brought in Adebayor who is almost unplayable at his best. Parker for whatever
you say is worth 4 x Jenas for example. It
seems strange that people have overlooked the addition of Falque and Dos Santos back from loan. What about the youth addition who now look ready like Livermore, Walker, Catroll, Townsend and even Fredericksburg and Kane?

At last it seems the kids are finally getting their chances and the trimmed squad will bolster finances and ironically strengthen the side through less rotation.

Pessimistic fans please be more concerned about the formation we play than the transfer activity. I fear we will try to incorporate VDV behind Adebayor, but would prefer we switch to 3-5-2 with Walker and Bale as wing backs if we do this. Personally I prefer 4-4-2 as I am convinced Adebayor and Defoe together would prove to be formidable. So here are my team selections for both shapes.

3-5-2

GK - Gomes
CB - Dawson
CB - King
CB - Kaboul
LWB - Bale
CM - Modric
ATM - Van Der Vaart
CM - Sandro
LWB - Walker
CF - Defoe
CF - Adebayor

Clearly there are injuries ATM to King and Sandro but there is Parker, Huddlestone, Livermore and Bassong and Corluka who can cover.

4-4-2
GK - Gomes
LB - Assou Ekotto
CB - Dawson
CB - King
RB - Walker
LM - Bale
CM - Modric
CM - Sandro
RM - Lennon
CF - Defoe
CF - Adebayor

The time has come to stop playing VDV just because he demands first team action. His injury will allow Spurs to revert to a
4-4-2 Shape and I believe you will witness the brilliance of what that can become.

Be positive and rest assured that January will open some new doors. I am convinced that the Damiao deal was struck for January which is why we didn't buy Ruiz or others. I am convinced the medium term plan will prove once again just how good Levy is in the transfer Market. So be positive and get behind a great team that will challenge this season for sure.
