Use our rumours form to send us spurs transfer rumours.

The noise regarding Gareth Bale has become louder in the last month, but the rumour is Real Madrid are losing credibility with the Levy. With £20m still owed on Modric, crazy suggestions to include him in the Bale deal have been laughed away. Levy is aware that there will be no shortage of clubs able to meet the £55m+ price tag, and is equally aware that Madrid are legally obliged to honour their debt.

The question is can a deal really be a achieved, and who would be available. We sold Modric for a healthy £33m and looking at current form, I would only take him back for the £20m they owe us. Bale in the current form is worth the £55m being quoted, but Higuain is equally worth £20m of anyone's money. So perhaps Modric, Higuain + increase the debt from £20m to £35m. Perhaps the two upfront with £25m might secure the deal, and allow Spurs to get Robben as well.

One thing is certain, Real Madrid look the most likely buyer. If true there will be one or two players included in the deal. So I ask you hypothetically, are Spurs stronger without Bale if we secured Higuain, Modric & Robben?

The Oracle {Ed002's Note - You have been very, very badly informed about the Modric payments. You might do better to ignore any financial matters.}

Ed002 I wouldn't bother mate, he makes it up as he goes along anyway. FACT

Much love

So much that is wrong there. Levy feels Bale is worth so much more staying at the club because he can help raise funding, sponsorship and naming rights for the new stadium as he is so high profile now

Of course you might think he would need to raise cash to cover our summer signing of Leandro that we did but fortunately although the deal is done Levy has a special agreement with Internacional that he can pay for him whenever he can afford it but that until that happens he won't technically move

I jest of course, but Modric's current form is that of the player Real paid 30 odd mill for and sentiment is now favouring keeping him.

Real will have quite a few changes this summer and Higuain could well be one who leaves, he's unhappy at not getting enough playing time. He is a quality player but one on a declining contract and who has been quite a way off his best form so £20 mill should be around the price

So much rests on CL qualification for us so targets might be identified but nothing much is going to happen or be definite at this stage

My point was proven again at the weekend. Although I am not going to blame Ekotto for his poor display when played out of position in the 1st half v Fulham, he was again badly exposed for their goal. Time and time again he is caught out of position. An icon with the fan he maybe, but I'm afraid defensively he is just not good enough. Still baffles me the tactics and selections for the Inter and Fulham games. Why were setup so open in an away game v Inter which we didn't need to win the game. Yet v Fulham on our own turf in a must win game, we setup so defensively it made no sense.

LOL. this added to his last post and we are going to sign about 8 players including Willian (just gone to rich russian side for 30 million and mega wages) Robben, Higuain, modric back plus others that I can't remember, oh yeah Damiao and Moutinho, how could I forget.

With the way we are playing at the mo it will be difficult to see us finish in top 4 but I agree with another post from earlier that after selling 2 great players in the summer and signing 2 average (dempsey and sigg) this season is a rebuilding one. I think that Bale will do at least another 2 seasons at the Lane and in that time I expect AVB to take us to the next level and get the players that HE wants not who DL wants.

Thrush / Boracle - when will you constant drivel end? you have no inside information you deluded fool. With you being a pathological liar you genuinely believe what you are writing however please read this, what you type is not true or accurate in anyway. Why don't you just read the posts as opposed to adding to them?

Bickley Yid

There is no way levy would have modric back at tottenham hotspur the way ratboy behaved trying to engineer a move on more than one occasion sulking and causing dressing room unrest. Bale has put 110% in week in week out and deserves a pay rise etc but you never see him complain other than that he states he has a desire to play abroad one day

I would like to see moutinho and a good striker with champions league experiencce, all which will be possible once we qualify for champions league. if we fail options to sign players will be limited

Alright Ed002. Glad to see you're still around. Especially when it comes to calling rubbish on mystic meg.

ED if the financials are so wrong perhaps you would be better suited to educating me rather than taking your supercilious stance in true Oracle fashion.

For the purpose of simplicity I quantified the debt for Modric at £20m. This was derived from an initial transfer amount of £26, 400,000 of which a payment of £15m was received leaving £11, 400,000 outstanding. In addition there are add ons totalling £8, 400,000, of which we have to date received nothing. So unless mistaking I make that £19, 800,000, which is circa £20m in my calculations.

Now clearly ED you have a different understanding, and I would like your clarification of the position.

The Oracle {Ed002's Note - The figures you have are completely wrong. It has become abundantly clear that presenting football fans and any sort of numbers causes considerable confusion. Most of this is down to them not being able to count to potato. It is far easier just to avoid teh numbers rather than mislead and spread the confusion like you are attempting to do.}

I would also like to say a big heart felt welcome back to Ed002. I heard some people on another club page where giving you grief, but your insight, knoweldge and humour is always welcome here sir.

flippit. {Ed002's Note - I am more than happy to deal with any questions that you and most other pages have as and when time allows.}

Really Oracle, you think that anyone believes any of the nonsense you say anymore?

On that note what about your claim that we are 100% going to be moving to the Olympic Stadium? Ledley King has stated that our new stadium will be built next door to WHL.

Well the Olympic stadium is going to Wham and Leandro remains unsigned. People can of course get things wrong and it's pretty clear we have tried to sign Leandro on a number of occasions, but then I doubt anyone denied that. It's categorically stating these things as done and dusted that makes it all so silly. Worse why keep on coming out with more stuff and doing it to yourself, the only person you are kidding is yourself so what is the point?
