Tottenham are planning to test Schalke's resolve for striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The Dutchman has been a long-term target for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

German sources say Schalke expect a bid of around £15 million to soon arrive for Huntelaar with Holland now out of the Euros.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

£15 million?!? More like £15. When he did play he looked out of his depth and completely inept
Super Y*d

Agree3 Disagree10

Super Y*d you are clueless, he was top goalscorer in the Bundeliga

Spurs Lad

Agree12 Disagree1

Top scorer in the BL with 29 goals this season, maybe you need to look at something other than 1 1/2 games at the euros where he got no service
Huntelaar is q top goalscorer but he has a 20 mill euro buy out which is just over £17 mill

Agree6 Disagree0

Tell you what, if we actually sign him and he gets 20 + goals for us next season, i will kiss a gooner shirt........
f*ckin wont 'appen.
Yes i know his goal scoring record in the Bundesliga, thats one season in the Bundesliga. Look at his previous record elsewhere and goals ratio and tell me that its top class.
S.Y

Agree5 Disagree5

His previous goal scoring record is class as well. Your clueless Super Y*d. You most likely only watch BPL games and only on Match of the Day. Fool!

Spurs Lad

Agree4 Disagree3

Hasn't Hunterlaar got a better overall scoring record than Van Persie? (we may hate ARSEnal but u can't doubt VP is class)

Agree1 Disagree0

He is a class act. Watched him on many occasion and the quality of finishing is clear to see, would be so happy if we get him.

rvp vs huntelaar....fantastic derby.

Agree2 Disagree1

I agree with Spurs Lad, Klass is class. Simple as that! He has exceeded most of his targets where ever he has gone! he is an excellent talent.
Rosco

Agree3 Disagree2

Sorry Super Y*d your'e sooo wrong on this one..... Huntelaar scores for fun

ou812

Agree3 Disagree2

If jkh was any good why haven't any top clubs kept hold of him? 29 last season isn't bad but it's not the PL. I'd rather sign a player for his productivity rather than his name, jkh would be another rebrov.......sh*te

Rufus

Agree4 Disagree1

Super yod we agree a lazy striker looked lost in the euros not for us
Mr g

Agree2 Disagree1

Wasnt a certain Berbatov top goalscorer in the German league.

He didnt turn out so bad!

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi guys I am a United fan and I would take him. He is a class act and would bag goals galore in the EPL. Dutch strikers just tend to suit the EPL take Van Nistlerooy and RVP.

Agree3 Disagree0

I know he only played one game for holland at euros but he looked very one paced

Agree0 Disagree1

Well there you are Spurs lad, seems like im not the only one of that opinion. Lad, im nobodys fool so dont feel that you have to declare that i am, its very disrespectful and makes you sound like a gooner... ur not are you? you know, a Gooner in disguise? Everybody will have an opinion on this one. As Rufus rightly pointed out, he has been with bigger clubs than he is with now and they havent kept him on, pretty much the point I was making ( check the goal scoring record, it doesnt set the world on fire) and you either failed to notice or just ignored because it didnt fit your view on him. i respect your view ( because Im mature enough to) and, yes, a great season and a load of goals should get the attention of plenty of clubs, not least our own but are we that wealthy we can afford to sp*nk £17 odd million on a possible one season Charlie? I dunno. As for Berbatov, he cost us £10 million which, even then, wasnt a fortune, we just got in before Utd did and his club didnt get the chance to inflate the price and create an auction.
Final point, irrespective of his "star season" he looked one paced, easily tackled and he didnt take up the positions a top striker would be expected to take, to wit, he never looked like he could get on the end of much, albeit, not great service. Just my opinion, like.
Yours
Dam fool Super Y*d

Agree3 Disagree2

Everyone says how good he is, and I did see him score a great goal against England i think it was where he injured himself, and he has been scoring for fun in germany, but he went to AC and it didn't happen for him and REAL i think it was and he was considered a flop at both, though that being said Berkamp scored I think 2 goals at AC before going to arsenal and was great.
One thing is for sure we definately need some strikers to come in and not wait around too long.
Don't know why we will let luke de jong from fc twente join newcastle for 8 mil another good young prospect, we left pappis cisse and they took him for 9 mil, we need to get active real soon.

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm no gooner but didn't RVP look s**te at the euros as well? Was amazing in the prem last season though. Unfortunately for us!

Agree4 Disagree0

Yeah wasn't impressed with RVP at all in the Euro's. Also even some of the big names (I.e ibrahimovich, Ronaldo, Huntelaar, xavi, alonso, etc) failed to perform and shown that some of the lesser players actually played really well.

In short I don't think we can really judge next season on the performances of the Euros as I think some of the football has been pretty poor

Agree1 Disagree0

In respects to KJH debate, sign him, he is a class forward, would suit the engilsh game, and score for fun, £17m is a steal for a player of his quality (£15m for Remy), he was out of sorts at the Euros for 2 reasons he only played 1 and a bit games and the whole holland team were awful and secondly it has since been reported that their were problems in the dutch camp between players and coaching staff. So players weren't fully committed.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is willing to throw the bank at France coach Laurent Blanc.

A Bola says Blanc, who is off contract from the French Football Federation after the Euros, is a top target for Levy.

And the Spurs chairman is willing to QUADRUPLE Blanc's current 1 million-a-year France deal to bring him to London. {Ed001's Note - the same Levy that never considered Moyes because he earns £3m a year and he wouldn't match it? Sounds unlikely to me that he would offer that much.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

But Ed was Harry not on £3 million a year aswell? so why would he not match Moyes? {Ed001's Note - I would assume it is to save money towards players. The club will need to tighten its belt to pay for a new stadium, at some point.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Blanc is a different class to moyes. Plus quadrupling a 1m per year would be 4m or £3.2m so only 200k a year more than what HR was earning. Maybe Levy just though Moyes wasn't worth it? {Ed001's Note - it is very possible.}

Spurs are in preliminary talks with Laurent Blanc {Ed008's Note - Confirmed by another ED can't be in talks whilst managing France his contract is up end of Euro's though.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Ed, he himself may not be but you can bet his agent is!
KB {Ed001's Note - his agent has approached Spurs, but he is not in talks himself. But his agent is, most definitely, looking elsewhere, in case France don't extend his contract. Trouble is, no one is sure if he is just keeping his options open, or if he is defo leaving France.}

Agree0 Disagree3

The only way Laurent Blanc would go Tottenham is if they can find a suitable replacement for the France Manager job and Arsene Wenger is the favourite. Wenger would go after next season and Pep Guardiola would be favourite to become Arsenal Manager.

Agree4 Disagree15

The French position had nothing to do with it. He will be out of contract. FFF can't stop him doing anything.

Real Madrid will come in for both Modric and Bale with Kaka + cash and pick of fringe squad on year loan

Believable2 Unbelievable12

I've heard, not official itk, that an offer of 35mill + a player is on the table. Waiting for new manager first.
I say take it, cash in. Let's start again.
I still say rafa can play in his position and play Hudds.
Don't shoot me, just my opinion.
Oh and I was excited about ABV but now the thought of Blanc is amazing.

Ed if modric goes to real, how likely is a player coming to us? Its probably diarra but im hoping for kaka or higuain? {Ed008's Note - All depends on a new manager coming in first.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Wont be Higuain as wanted by sooo many others could be Kaka cos noboby seems that interested and wont be Diarra cos we have too many like him already

Agree2 Disagree1

Sahin would make this a very attractive package

Looks like Modrics off to Spain, Denilson of Arsenal lined up as a replacement.

Believable4 Unbelievable30

Lol gooner much? Denelison ahahhaha don't make me laugh

steed

Agree8 Disagree1

We dont need denilson,we already have a tea lady thanks

Agree8 Disagree1

Good player but we could get a better player with the money generated from Modrics departure.

Agree2 Disagree2

We don't necessarily need a replacement, drop VDV back to a more midfield role and play with 2 strikers again!

Agree1 Disagree0

Ok we hace accepted gallas and adebayor but i really dont want any more gooners lol..other than rvp lool no but real talk, denilson isnt great either...just need 2 buy dembele

Ed with us in the market for a new manager what do you think the situation is with pienaar? Personally I'd sell him back to Everton at a bit of a profit..... {Ed001's Note - he has asked to go back to Everton, he wants to go back to Everton, so I expect it to happen once the manager is in place.}

Believable6 Unbelievable2

No way sell him, he is a highly talented player overlooked by Harry Redknapp likely because he did nt want him. Newv manager may well be able to get the best out of him in a white shirt.....No sell

Agree2 Disagree4

He wants to come back to Everton and will push for a transfer.

Agree5 Disagree0

I remeber watching him at the lane play his first home game for spurs against bolton.ok he came on for spurs but had nearly 45 mins and from there onwards looked like a completely different player for us then he does everton..good player for them.but out of his depth with us.coudnt handle the pressure of having to maintain his form

Laurent Blanc will be named Tottenham manager as soon as france is euro 2012 campaign is over!. Levy met with blanc and his representatives in a paris hotel back in march, the redknapp/england job had no bearing on redknapp's sacking last week as tottenham owner joe lewis felt strongly that redknapp had taken the club as far as he could. lewis now hopes to bring back damien commoli as director of football to work alongside blanc.

Believable8 Unbelievable13

As i said earlier, Blanc is white hart lane bound!..i was informed of this last thursday from a senior source from the lane..who is a close friend of my mrs's uncle, olivier giroud 's move to arsenal may now collapse, watch this space!!

AVB and his representatives have already spoken with Spurs. A series of proposals have been made but they do not constitute a formal offer; rather, they serve as the basis for negotiations.

AVB is almost certain to become "manager" but he will more akin to a European-style coach, working for a Sporting Director. Levy (and Lewis) have always been keen on having a Director of Football appointment and were only forced to abandon this when they chose Redknapp as manager.

This was part of the problem between Redknapp and Levy - tension over finances and who had responsibility.

Levy and Lewis want AVB but the rumours are spreading that Bale and Modric will use this as the chance to leave.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

AVB - marmite springs to mind

ou812

Agree5 Disagree0

Modric has made up his mind already, Bale will stay at least another year.
AVB will sign this week.....

Ok. Dunno how reliable this is but a guy I know claims to be ITK and says that Glen Hoddle is coming home. Apparently the board want stability and Hoddle is seen as the right man to settle things. Also he feels he has unfinished business in management.

Believe!

Da Sacc Man

Believable2 Unbelievable20

Have you ever been on the jeremy kyle show by any chance ?

Agree7 Disagree0

Hoddle no no going backwards again my choice would of been bilic but he's signed for the russian club so 2nd choice is blanc who would fit the bill .not so sure about AVB struugled big time at chelsea but surpose wasnt given the time so lets sea blanc hopefully . and levy spend some money please or we will be back to mid-table again
spurs mad man

Agree6 Disagree2

Doubt it, part of the reason HR got sacked was because they want someone young. GH aint exactly a kid anymore is he lol

Agree4 Disagree0

I am very close to the Hoddle family and was in Spain with them this weekend and as much as Glenn would love to come back Spurs have not or will not be making a move for him.
