The president of Luka Modric’s former club Dinamo Zagreb who is also the father of Modric’s agent Mario, claims the Tottenham playmaker is in constant contact with Jose Mourinho and his transfer to Real Madrid has been completed. Dinamo Zagreb who are entitled to five per cent of any transfer fee president has revealed the move is imminent. He said: “Luka [Modric] is a close friend of mine. I can state with reliability that Mourinho has spent the last month speaking to him over a move to the Spanish capital. Modric is due to report back for training on Thursday, and he is understood to want his future sorted before Tottenham depart for their pre-season tour of America on Saturday.

But AVB has said there has not been a deal agreed. He will go on tour

Where did you get the 5% from? If you pay 16m (or however much it was) for a relatively unproven player, you don't add a sell on clause.
YidPie.

The 5% is a claim zagreb say was agreed if we sale him outside of the prem and they have been trying to help real get him to sign so they can claim there bit but this hasnt been confimed by spurs most prob zagreb hoping for back hander from real if they help ratty to sign

Surely Levy will be shouting "tapping up" over this and we will get the extra 5 mill Levy wanted. Berbatov esq.

Nax you really crack me up with your posts. You write as if you represent the rest of the readers, and you mainly focus on insults and utter nonsense. Levy gave Real Madrid along with Man United and Chrlsea the green light to discuss Luka Modric. In fact Levy gas done everything possible to assist Modric's desire to join Real Madrid by actively negotiating terms. So your suggestion about tapping up is I'll informed and total fiction.

Hi Eds, is there still any legs to the Dzagoev rumours earlier in the month? Think he would be a great addition...

{Ed008's Note -His contract runs out in November or January theirs interest whether it's followed up i don't know although i would say Arsenal and Chelsea are ahead as they've watched him plenty of times before he got recognised in the Euro's.

In demand? only Everton looking at him.

The agent of Tasci has come out dropping hints the player is ready to move from Stuttgart although Milan is his 1st choice he mentions us as interested in the player who is a top class 25yr old central defender who along with the 25yr old Vertonghen could be our rock solid defensive partnership for years to come, still need a striker and Modders replacement but surely Tasci worth a punt too

Subotić is a good shout as well, don't think Daws will stay fit a full season and Kaboul still a bit hit and miss while Caulker very promising and full backs are very good

Apparently Spurs have been looking at two young Norwegians. One being a 19 year old central midfielder Marcus Henriksen who apparently is going to be a big deal. I think he would be a good signing.
The other player is 21 year old Jo Inge Berget, I know nothing about him, but I think he may be a Striker.
I personally like the look of Lars Bender, who played for germany during the Euros and scored in the one game he started. I think he plays for Bayer Leverkusen.

I think recruiting unknown players at this age level that is the most likely way the club can acquire talent that can make a difference. AVB has some impressive skills in this department and surely has a list of up and coming talent players across the world. Cannot see the likes of Hulk coming to Tottenham despite the leaked photo on t***ter of himself with AVB and some of the coaching staff. Chelsea will outbid us for him just to spite AVB. One reassuring fact is that they cannot sign every player that AVB is targeting this summer. He has a system and I'm sure only has players in mind that can fit into it.

Correction Ed LARS Bender plays for Leverkusen. His Twin Brother SVEN Bender plays for Dortmund

We have 0% chance of signing Lars or Sven Bender, they play in their native Germany but more importantly have guaranteed Champions League football.

ED02 do you think that we could sign Hulk or is that unrealistic? {Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely rather than unrealistic. As a "big buy" I think Moutinho is more likely.}
Believable7

Come on Ed, we all know that our big buy will be Leandro Damiao.
The Rabbit

In Levy we Trust
Agree5

Damiao will never happen, he has said no to us on so many occasions now unfortunately its just not going to happen.
Hulk would want champions league football I think and probably a move to a bigger team but even if he did want to come we simply couldn't afford him. I'm hoping for Moutinho but he may also be a bit too much
Agree6
Disagree4
Let's be realistic, unless the rumours of major investment are true, we can only expect purchases which fit the club's current transfer policy. Hulk and Moutinho have substantial release clauses which prohibit Levy and co from activating.
Agree3

Hulk is not a Spurs target but Damiao will be coming contrary to all those who report he is not!

Sure and when Damiao does sign you will get on you knees and apologise for all the anonymous abuse you throw behind your keyboard anonymously. The law is changing to prevent cowards like you being defamatory with anonymity. How easy it is to post nothing of relevance other than write scathing response to all and sundry.
If you were honest and mature you would at least be balanced. Look back at my post months ago AVB, Vertonghen, Siggurdsson, Adebayor, Damiao and the Olympic Stadium. What you do is post your abussive verbiage and focus on the areas of doubt with acknowledging those who arrived. When Adebayor signs & Damiao follows your posts will ignore them all and focus on the Olympic stadium. You abuse me all you like and for the record I will be going nowhere.

Ed- What is going on with Carvalho? Heard quite a lot of rumours alleging that he is coming. Not part of any Modric deal though. {Ed008's Note - He's one of the players available for transfer from Madrid i think it's lazy journalism hasn't figured for Madrid last season quite old don't think too much of it ain't gonna happen.

Seen a picture of avb with hulk... are tottenham interested or able to sign hulk? eds? {Ed008's Note - Did you see this picture 2 years ago when they were at Porto together ? Not gonna happen too expensive and wants ridiculous wages.
Believable4

That picture was taken at the Brazil Olympic team hotel which like I said is just down the road from me. Lights chairs decor all matches. I can also tell you the football team arrived at approx 4pm yesterday so that photo has to have been taken last night! Granted it could be two friends catching up put they definitely met
Agree2
Disagree0
No this picture is pretty recent, i have also seen it on .
it seems like hulk is wearing his brazil training gear and avb and him are chatting in a hotel. obviously hulk is here for the olympics and as hulk had his most successful period at porto while avb was there you'd think that maybe they are fairly close pals so its probably just either a chance meeting or they arranged to see eachother as they're both in london.
but imagine if all wasnt as it seemed! i'd be excited then.....

Yes ed i would like an apology after you suggested the picture i had seen was from 2 years ago lol, however even though they did meet up i highly doubt tottenham could sort out a deal for a reasonable price that chelsea couldnt, or wouldnt match or beat to sign the player... {Ed008's Note - I think it was more of a friendly chat then anything...
