According to the president of Dnipro, Konoplyanka is being negotiated for with Levy. He is exactly what we need attacking wise.

in my opinion 4 new realistic affordable summer signings that could help us achieve our top 4 goal. These 4 players would boost chemistry in the team and would theoretically eradicate defensive errors and deliver goals which we've lacked this season. So here they are(all belgians: Romelu Lukaku- Chelsea (CF), Christian Benteke- Aston Villa (CF), Steven Defour- FC Porto (CDM) and finally Nicholas Lombaerts- Zenit St Petersburg (CB). With these four we couldn't go wrong. Benteke and Lukaku are proven goal scorers and both play together in the belgian national side along side spurs players Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Dembl and Nacer Chadli. Defour is a name many would find familiar and has been solid all season and really controls the Porto and Belgium midfield during up our midfield mishaps and is a quick player who isn't afraid of getting stuck in. Nicholas Lombaerts is another top class player, the Zenit captain and Belgium centre back is like a brick wall in defence with some decent pace and a partnership with Vertonghen couldn't do him any harm. I would sell Soldado, Lamela, Kaboul, Sandro and Gomes.

And at LB we have who for another year?

Yellow-Card, We have Danny Rose, Kyle Naughton, Jan Vertonghen, Zeki Fryers all capable of playing LB Federico Balzaretti has been linked as well

No name poster, why the hell would you sell Sandro!,

And what formation would you play?

Frank De Boer, Vincenzo Montella, Cesare Prandelli or Louis Van Gaal will all do me but what we need is a take over as Joe Lewis is quite old and the club just doesn't have the money that Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, City and United have which limits us on the transfer market. A new owner and a new start for the club onwards and upwards. Joe Lewis has been fantastic. there's talk of a takeover by the Quatari Royal Family and I think that would do us no harm. Joe Lewis has been really an unsung hero with the amount of money he's injected into the club. But with the theme of change, We need a new stable decent long term manager, and use money from a takeover to seriously spend, i'd replace Baldini and go back to the classic way of running club with a manager rather than a technical director and head coach. I think also that Levy HAS TO GO. The reasons being: He makes a profit out of selling our best players turning us into a selling club, he bids for decent players but only for a considerably lower price which is why we didn't get Aguero, Negredo, Suarez, Rossi and Damiao to name but a few but instead, pays double for players who are poor and don't deliver. So a Chairman willing to take the club forward and one who is personally a lot more involved and passionate for the club. So with new players, new boardroom, new owner and stadium, we would most probably have to wait a few seasons until we get that side which wins the premier league and wins the european competitions but I think it would be worth it. I know many don't like the way Chelsea and City spend but they get results, they've won the league and cup competitions so money in football is the key to success.

I have a serious doubt Verts will be here next season. The rest are simply not good enough to be starting at LB for a team with Top 4/6 aspirations.

One thing is clear whole sale changes of the team need to be avoided if possible. But looking at weaknesses and injury prone players plus likely departures just addressing those will possibly create significant change.

No name poster, you have named 4 left backs .
Vert as cover, yes but he is our best CH .
Rose and Naughton are sh**e, and fryers maybe!
Sorry left back is badly needed, as it has been for the last two seasons!

Desperate for a decent LB Creative midfielder and a striker. I would let kaboul rose dawson naughton go at the back. In midfield I would let siggy, capoue chadli go. As Manager I would say De Boer Van Gaal or Hoddle.

Desperate for a left-back isn't the word, we should've used £20-25m for Luke Shaw in the summer, getting ahead of the pack or, told Real that we wanted Coentrao or no-deal on Bale.
Ready to be shot down but I really think there could be a half-decent player in Chadli - well hidden at the moment but a few flashes of ability. He's not had consistent game time and is fresh into the Premiership like all of our signings. He could get up to speed for next season and be ok. Not like he was mega-bucks and we do need some squad players as well as a first XI.

I don't know that we've seen enough of any of the 7 summer signings played in their correct position for more than a game or 2 at a time. Paulinho may be the one exception.

True yellow card, and he can go to AVB in the summer, no trouble!

I hereby retire my position on Nacer Chadli, going out on a high as he scores twice just a few hours after my post. Best get out of that now, the only way is down for our players usually!

It's OK Simmo! Chadli won't start another game for a month, he will be lucky if TS puts him on the bench after scoring twice.

Haha, so true..

Why not play chadli behind adebayor? A tall strong skillful player like him would suit perfectly. He's proven that he links up well with the strikers after Thursday night. Also he can hit the ball with either foot and has immense ball control. My team woul personally be
Lloris
Walker
Kaboul
Chirices
Vertonghan
Townsend
Paulhinio
Dembele
Erickson
Chadli
Adebayor
Subs:
Friedel
Dawson
Naughton
Sandro
Lennon
Lamela
Soldado
I think this is a good solid team but with injuries it's obviously difficult but he needs to stick to one team and not chop and change week in week out.

Paulinho instead of Sandro? No chance, maybe if he speeds up next season but Sandro has to be the holder/deeper CM.
Lamela ahead of Townsend in time hopefully if he realises potential.

Too true Simmo! And we would loose Vert if we played him at left back . You can't play Eriksen out wide, comes in too much and you have too play him in the centre where he does so much damage! Would also play Soldado rather than Ade, not so stroppy!
On the subs bench, Dawson and Naughton, are you joking? Neither would make the squad of a top 6 team

Totally agree with Dawson and naught on not being good enough for a top six squad but That's the problem we don't have enough quality players to compete in top 4 and as soon as levy realises that and brings in at least 3 big name signings we may have a chance, certainly a new centre half like subotic, mangala or someone along those lines. Definitely a solid left back and probably just a big name player like Reus, El sharrawy, di Maria or someone along those lines. I just can't see us convincing any of them to play Europa league football for a season and then maybe champions league the following year. I agree that lamela will turn good In time but still think we lack a spark of genius somewhere on the pitch.
