Pardew to Spurs? A source close to Newcastle was very worried that this is the case. Pardew's family has never moved up to the North East and despite Pardew loving Newcastle it's widely thought within the club he'd love a move back down South. Obviously as Newcastle fan I'd be devastated but he's a tactically astute manager and would seem to suit Levy's criteria

No no no def not thanks. You are more than welcome to keep him up north.
Thanks anyway

He didn't look too tactically astute from where I was sitting in the Lower North as we drubbed the Barcodes 5-0 last season

I do think it will be AVB. However it is a fact that Pardew's family stayed down south. Pardew and Moyes work for similar size clubs to us without the riches we have. I'm sure both would jump at the chance.

Please.........im still laughing at this one!
pardew to spurs........cant say it without laughing

While Pardew has done well and Moyes(my 1st choice) has shown he can do well in the premiership year after year with not a penny to spend Spurs will pick a bigger name manager because it's the done thing

Spurs? Riches? What riches? You don't really plunge into the transfer window year after year and spend in excess of Ł10m+. The January transfer window showed what "riches" Spurs had. Could've bought anyone in Europe (within limitations) but instead settled for Saha and Nelsen which you swiftly released. Can't even afford Adebayor and that's saying something. So Spurs having riches? Don't make me laugh.

Tottenham are eyeing France coach Laurent Blanc.

The Mirror says Spurs have explored Blanc’s contract situation with the French Football Federation.

Blanc’s current deal with the French expires at the end of the Euros, which Tottenham have been made aware of, and the former Manchester United defender has made it clear he is open to offers.

“It’s always gratifying when big clubs are interested in you,” said Blanc. “I can sign elsewhere, before or during the Euros.

“I often hear it said that it’s the boss who decides whether or not to extend the contract of a player or a coach at the end of their contract, but people forget the employee can also decide for themselves.

“My intention is to carry on with the France team, but the fact remains, I have not extended my contract. If I get an exceptional offer, I could very well decide to leave for that club.”

Now, he would be my first choice, of the managers we may physically get anyway.
I'm excited by the idea of AVB but blanc would be something else.

Won't happen but I would welcome it

I have just read on Harry Hotspur that AVB has signed a 3 year deal says the Itlaien media.

Also, I read that Vertonghen and Huntelaar may shortly be on the way. Just what I've read. May be rumours.

Do you know anything about any of this Ed or do you think its runours?

John COYS! {Ed001's Note - I have said from the start AVB is first choice, so I would believe them to be correct.}

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Even about the Vertonghen and Hunteaar thing being correct? {Ed001's Note - Vertonghen I believe will still join, unless the new manager doesn't want him, but I don't have a clue about Huntelaar, sorry.}

Gazetta dello Sport claim that Tottenham have agreed a three year deal with Andre Villas-Boas to take over from Harry Redknapp as White Hart Lane boss.

If you refer back to my post on the 10th June - 4 days before HR was pushed. AVB is the man, will be appointed this week. Vertonghen will also sign this week. He will be given a sizable budget of 50+m to sign a replacement for Modders who will leave, plus two strikers.
