VDV has been telling friends back home he will sign for Arsenal in the summer. Big friends with Bergkamp and he has persuaded him as Tottenham are ready for the big fall. Go Gunners.

To whoever wrote this what a load of crap! its a well known FACT that Bergkamp is actualy a Tottenham supporter so can't see him trying to persuade him to go to Ar5ena1! and as for the BIG FALL i think you need to be looking at the other side of north london cause that's where that's happening right now!

Alot of rumours flying round about carrol!. . .just an idea what with keane deal stalling @ birminham could it maybe something to do with newcastle interest

what you think Ed, Guv and jermain?? {ed's note - sounds like a good deal for Newcastle on the face of it, the only problem is that Carroll wants to stay at Newcastle. He is not just saying that publicly and saying something else behind closed doors. I am not saying he won't move but it is going to take some persuading and I don't, personally, think he would bring anything to Spurs with your style of play. He is very much a big lump with no pace looking for high balls or crosses whipped in, he will not offer any kind of help in the build up.}

That is bang on the money ed! My assumption is that we want to be playing with one out and out striker, primarily, because we have so many attack minded players in the squad already. I know that some seem to think that Redknapp wants to be the "little and large" combo upfront but I don't see it, unless he can stick a straightjacket on van der vart to stop him playing wherevever he wants on the pitch. Doing that, which would be impossible, would totally negate what he has brought to the team, let alone goals.
I think the one all rounder target man is what we are searching for. Carrol? I suppose, if you were a bit cynical, you would be asking "who the h* k is Carrol?" if you were from outside of the North East at the start of the season.
I think we would be wasting our money.
Unfortunately, the Football World only made one Torres, the type of player who would bang in 30 a season with our players around him. Im a realist, we aint gonna get him!
As for Pienaar, we don't need him, we need better left and right backs but not another effing midfield player, no matter how good the deal is. . .

Kind of agree Ed, buts it's well known Ashley is motivated by money so i don't think carrols feelings would come into consideration!

also i disagree with the comment about him not bringing anything to the team as he would fit into the big man little man role perfectly lets be honest in saying that pace is not really an issue in the spurs camp with the likes of Lennon, Defoe, Bale, and Modric i think the main issue would be keeping his head down outside of football what with the london night life and all. . .
