lol, its great how everyones calling for us to drop last seasons top scorer just because defoe scored against wolves when his marker fell over - surely we should give rafa a chance with ade?
martin lol

Bale is simply too good to play anywhere other than LM. Sandro must start every game when fit as he look amazing but Parker has been awesome as well since his arrival. Modric must play in CM as the playmaker, everytime he plays on the LM or RM he is much less effective.

Time to switch to 3-5-2 I feel with the current talent.

GK - Akinfeev (May Sign)
LWB Bale
CB King (When Fit)
CB Dawson
CB Cahill (Will Sign)
RWB Walker
CM Parker
CM Modric
CM Sandro
CF Adebayor
CF Damiao (Will Sign)

Van Der Vaart, Lennon, Friedel, Livermore, Assou Ekotto, Defoe, Gallas, Kaboul, Corluka, Dos Santos etc provide great depth. VDV is far more effective playing 55-60 mins all out than 90 mins. He can either start or finish games with Modric the obvious switch. We need Modric to be involved in every game without buring him out so why strategically use the substitutions effectively.

If we stick with 4-4-2 then my view is sell VDV. The only other option is to try 4-4-1-1 with VDV behind Adebayor which could work but makes the team a bit one dimensional. What Sandro and Parker bring is real steel in midfield, and the 3-5-2 option will allow the team to over-run the opposition. We would be almost unstopabble going forward. The back line would also look storng as Bale and Walker both have engines as does Ekotto and even Lennon to bomb up and down for 90 mins. In addition have you noticed the defensive brilliant of Sandro and Parker? They seem to always be on hand when Walker or Ekotto have commited themselves to attack. I feel the way the premiership team line up, a 3-5-2 formation will compliment our squad.

It seems 4-4-2 works the best for us. VDV to play in the middle along Parker.. Bale and Modric on the sides.. and play Defoe and Ade on top, they work well together.

I would start with Defoe and Ade both will be confident after each scoring a goal and we looked better balanced with 2 strikers. VDV on the bench can come on later besides he might need to ease himself back in rather than rush back straight into a full game
JD and Ade start for me

Totally agree!
Super Yid

VDV is top class and we should use him as much as posable as he want to play.
