Bids have gone in for Ramirez and M' baye Niang (like i said weeks ago) . Im hearing that we have upped the bid for Ramirez. We have also looked at Lewandowski but dont know if we followed that up.
Lots of activity though lads which is what we all want.

spurs guvnor

Believable16 Unbelievable5

The bid was not excepted, but we have already spoken to the player regarding wages etc, heard a rumour he was at bulls cross having a medical yesterday ( unsubstantiated tho). Good signing if we get him!

Agree7 Disagree5

Which one having the medical

Agree0 Disagree1

Ramirez not happening. Levy being a tight c*nt like normal and wont offer him sufficient wages... DL costing us big time! never going to progress with the way he does business

Agree3 Disagree0

Never gonna progress with Levy doing business?? Sorry must be just me but I thought we were a mid-table side before he arrived!!
Stop hating on him and trust that we have 1 of the best in the league when it comes to business

Rossi leaving villeral and spurs need a couple of strikers so he's your man. {Ed008's Note - Out until 2013 with knee injury...

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Apart from the fact that he won't be fit to play till next year he has just said he wants to move to Serie A so I think he's not our man at all

Agree5 Disagree1

Thats ok levy should be able negotiate a gd bargain

Yesterdays marsaille match remy was missing from the lineup and the presenter said he could be dicussing a move to spurs at the moment and they said the same for loris,so this week cud we sign loris and remy and before the window closes ade and mvilla? those 4 id be very happy with if we sign them soon

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Remy the new gervinho! No thanks. Lorente is out of our league. As is Damiao now. Ade it is and possibly sessegnon! Rossi wants to leave and would be good, but out until February. Could be cheaper though.

Any of the Ed's got any thoughts on any potential deals for strikers or otherwise?

Welshyid

Agree2 Disagree3

Talksport have tweeted they believe Remy has agreed terms with West Spam

Agree1 Disagree6

Newcastle and wet spam also after him apparently.

Agree2 Disagree3

Must be s*** if wet spam are interested

Agree2 Disagree3

I think remy could be a hit at spurs. His versatilty's also a useful asset

Agree1 Disagree1

We shoudnt bother with rossi as hes not bound to be fit by 2013..and im not sure about sessegnon..he plays where vdv and sigurdson play..and if west ham do want to sign Remy then i agree that he must be S***
DAPZ

Agree2 Disagree1

Im a newcastle fan, apparently Newcastle are the club not Spurs that have agreed a £14m deal with Marseille... whether its true i dont know, but West ham?

Agree2 Disagree0

Cool we will take cisse off you and demba ba for 15 million as you wont need them lol

Bilbao president said.......llorente can leave if anyone triggers his release clause. €36million.
Ain't that supposedly what we are getting for modric.
Levy....get in there. Juve won't spend that much. I don't care if he had 1 year left or 4 years. Levy has to bid at least, if we have any chance of moving forward, this is the type we need.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Probably could get better value somewhere else but levy has left this pretty late and I would agree that he is the type of player we need so I would also say he has to bid. We have made money in the last few transfer windows so surely it's time we spent some of that money and with the modric deal it would only be about 5mil extra max! If we don't sign a big player I fear for our progress, top 4 is a must this season if we want to push on

Agree5 Disagree2

We haven't got anything for Modric yet and there is no sign that Madrid will pay what Levy is supposedly asking. In the meantime, we cannot even contemplate paying £36m for Llorente. We are a big club by the standards of most clubs in Europe, but we are not in that league. Modric is still our most expensive signing at £16.5m and that is not far short of the maximum we should pay for anybody (£20m at a pinch). If we start trying to spend as if we had the revenue of Real Madrid or the bottomless pockets of Sheikh Mansour then we won't be moving forward we will be going out of business.
KM

Agree7 Disagree1

Levy doesn't have the ambition for Llorente.I think we will finish 7th-8th next season...Cheers Mr Levy.

Agree15 Disagree6

And there was a sell on clause as well cant remember the % but looked like his last team were gonna get a 2 mill or so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who ever that was who said we will finish 7-8 needs 2 smile abit i think..thanks for being a misreable sod but no thanks..we will finish 3/4...nice 2 see our own "supporters"having faith!!
Dapz

Agree2 Disagree6

I would love to have a different attitude, but with the current squad, sorry to say,I can't see a top four finish especially playing AVB's highline.

Daily mail reporting a fee of 25 mill has been agreed with real? Seems surprisingly low when only last month they apparently bid 36 mill. Maybe a player is included but it's not mentioned. I'd take whatever for him now, dragged on far too long. Go and spend the cash on falcao.

Rufus

Believable9 Unbelievable5

" Daily Mail reporting ....... " kind of says it all, does it not !?

Skidz14

Agree11 Disagree3

Falcao would cost over £40million. as.com reporting the Modric deal is done for 32m Euro plus add ons. Says Spurs have asked for it to be kept quiet until a replacement is found.

Agree1 Disagree0

25M plus add ons/bonuses

Agree2 Disagree0

It's the mail mate, it's complete fabrication. There is absolutely no reason for levy to suddenly drop 10 million of his valuation. The only way this happens is if there is a player included or there are escalators involved

Agree1 Disagree3

Apparently its Sahin, but he doesnt want to come to spurs.

Agree6 Disagree1

Was it only the media that said Levy wants £35-40m for him? Media always state bigger prices for their story, maybe Levy never wanted that much. Look at Cazorla for Arsenal. Media reported he costs £17-20 million. Arsenal got him for £12.6 million.

Agree3 Disagree1

I appreciate that falcao would cost a few quid but we need someone to score over 20 goals a season and with respect, Harry Kane is not what we need right now.

Rufus

Agree5 Disagree0

Apparently Xabi Alonso has said he doesnt want 2 sign a new contract with madrid...so maybe do a striaght swap for modric...i would take that all day long Dapz

Agree2 Disagree10

JM wants Sahin to get playing time that he won't get at RM ...I can see him being loaned to us as part of the Modric package, with all expenses paid by RM - would appeal to the finance folks at the Lane possibly.

Agree3 Disagree1

Any truth to this bid being accepted Eds? {Ed002's Note - Put aside the amounts, a deal has been agreed.}

Agree1 Disagree0

I for one will over the moon when I see him finally gone, this is just ridiculous. Still livid this has dragged on, disrupting pre-season, no time for replacement to settle in. Shambles.

I understand the time for haggling but lets say I am right and we have been disrupted by it, and we do have a naff start, how much will that cost us down the line?

LMAO at 'i think its sahin, but he doesnt want to come to spurs'.... {Ed008's Note - Liverpool or Arsenal...

Agree0 Disagree0

Its true Xabi craves a move to London so he can hit the club scene as his personality would suggest...lol or he might be the sort who plays for meaning, friendship, legacy and glory aka he'll always be a Red!
