I have a feeling City will look to release Dzeko in the transfer window and we will make a bid. Could do well at Spurs where he'll get playing time. Seriously doubt we could afford his wages though.

Would get lots of playing time with us as he would be the main man, but theres no way we'll pay his wages. Nice idea and I would love it to happen, but I also agree with your last point so I cant see it happen either.

Flippit.

Would be a great buy if City let him go on the cheap; in this way, we can give him a signing on fee.

It seems we are looking for a bargain goalkeeper as interest in Ben Foster, Robert Green and even Paul Robinson echo around the boardroom at White Hart Lane. Surprisingly all are still relatively young by goal keeping standards., and all three have flirted with England recognition. Paul Robinson is still only 32 and was probably unfairly moved on when his form dipped behind a suspect defence. Poor old Rob Greene looked world class until one howler for England saw his confidence and reputation fall like a house of playing cards. Greene has since been very assured in goal and has been instrumental in giving The Hammers a real chance of promotion. Still only 32 like Robinson and with contract vulnerable for all players they could be the value bet for the future past Friedel. I would love to see Gomes, Cudicini, Alnwick and Friedel move on. I am not sure we need to look overseas when we have this sort of homegrown talent. People talk about Lloris but is he really a better keeper than Robinson? Jack Butland looks like England's future and two from Greene, Foster and Robinson would be great additions to provide the depth, experience and cover required to nurture a superb talent like Butland. So whilst there is little offensive action at the moment, I ask you is it nit time to ship out the old and bring in the new?

No prediction but enough noise to make me wonder if solutions lie closer to home !

The Oracle {Ed002's Note - Santos goalkeeper Rafael has attracted the attention and confirmed interest from Atletico Madrid, Palermo and Spurs. Caniggia has also had Rafael watched on behalf of Liverpool. Roma have gone as far as making an offer circa 6M euro. A move is quite likely in the summer.}

Robinson is awful can we get serious here would much prefer Gomes back in if that's our options at least he pulls off the odd world class save

Robet Green looked world class!?!? The howler against the USA wasn't his only, it was just the highest profile one he made. He is a fair to sometimes decent keeper at the most, no thanks!

Robert Green is the worst keeper i have ever seen.

Ben Foster would be a good replacement for Freidel but would like a more higher profile keeper

Craig Gordon is on a free cost safc 9 million,Had injury problems but is Scotland's number one and only today won an award for greatest save in premiership history just seen it on sky sports news for a save against bolton in 2010,quality keeper if fit.

I think you'll find Allan McGregor is Scotland's number 1, and will continue to be so.

Agree3 Disagree1

No gordon is number 1 fact.Mcgreggor is only playing at the moment because of Gordon's injuries.

Agree2 Disagree2

Out of the two I'd rather we signed McGregor and he should be cheap with Rangers problems.

I think we should pull out all the stops to get Lloris though. Heading to Milan? Maybe but lets at least make him an offer. He's young, classy and has great experience plus he's looking to move. If we secure Champs League why not us? After all I don't remember AC Milan being that impressive ;)

Ok, Gordon will be fine in the next month or so. Let's see who gets the jersey then eh?
