Transfer for Bou from River is a definite no go and it was for more reasons than one with the final say coming from the player himself. Not sure how this will impact on any deal for Cavenahgi, who I believe Tottenham did actually want for football reasons, but also partly because he is big friends with Bou.
Is Bou going elsewhere, the feeling is he suddenly has another offer, but that could be anywhere, not just from England.
Boas has other fish now though but wants to bring in players he knows.

We were never interested in either of them

Who thinks that sahin+cash for modders. and then get mouthion and lloris and aderbyor and damio. sale a few dead beats to lighten the load. now that would make for a very interesting season.

Sahin (not interested) and Moutinhio would occupy more or less the same position. Ade, Leo and lloris would cost probably 40+ alongside the 25m for Moutinhio seems very unlikely. Love it to happen but more chance of us getting van Persie than all of the above. At best we'll get ade and poss Moutinhio (probably mereiles judging from AVB' past record!)

Word round my way is that we have almost signed loic remy, more details expected tomora, fingers crossed!

I'm not sure how I feel about Remy. He is a good player but I'm not sure where he fits in villas-boas 4-3-3, in terms of starting line up however he is pretty versatile and so could be cover for lennon on the right and whoever we have through the centre. What do you guys think?
Agree1
Disagree0
I think remy fits very well into the 4-3-3 formation we are likely to play next season. AVB likes a fluid front 3 and as we remy could easily occupy all 3 front roles he would be a good addition.

^^^ that's why, despite his short comings, I think he is one of the better forward options we could get

Just seen on skysports that AVB has revealed that there already has been discussions with other clubs about Modric. It looks like weve excepted he's gone. Although Luka is a phenomenal player and theres not many better in the world would you rather Moutinho, someone who wants to work under AVB and clearly is up for the challege. Where as Luka is a player who's had his head turned and wants to move on, which is fair enough. I will always respect him for not stropping about and getting on with it even though he diddnt get his move. I hope he goes to a club outside the premier league but if he does have to say in england id like him to go City because in my honest opinion i believe we catch arsenal, united and chelsea. When you look at the squads on paper youd probably say ours was stronger than United's and Arsenal's. United havent even got many good players they just have a first class manager even though he is a p**ck.
Ed have you got any news on any other potential signings, Lloris? Adebayor? Damiao? or anyone else?
COYS.YIDS. {Ed001's Note - sorry took a while, been asking around for you and so far getting nothing concrete at all. It is difficult to be sure what is guesswork based on AVB's past and the gaps in the squad and what is coming from real info yet.}

Your right, he is a class manager, but to castigate the united squad is a bit much. We have no class players ! What about vidic, Ferdinand , Valencia, Nani, Rooney , well beck, scholes, Giggs , jones , smalling, and evra which would all walk into your team. Stop dreaming you person.

Lukas not a world class player, 5 goals and 6 assists last season for our playmaker is hardly world class. Get 20-25 million for him and we can easily get a better player.

is this true we have been offered andy carroll, dont know if that would be a good idea or not him and ade have you heard anything ed or is it just paper talk?
Believable1
Unbelievable5
If he is offered, I am quite sure AVB will say no. even if offered for 10 mill.
AVB like mobile, interchanging players and that's probably the first reason why it did not work out at Chelsea.
If we still had Harry, I would love for Carrol at spurs as I am a fan of the old shcool english centre forward (drogba esq.) But he would not fit in, in the way AVB likes to set up his team.

Carol def would not fit into our new team. A real overrated player best place is in a reserves team.

Really hope not, I'm sure we all know a Liverpool fan who we have been slagging off because of Andy Carrol for a while! On a more serious note, if Rogers is getting rid of Carrol because he won't fit into the new style of play (i.e. fast passing) I doubt he would be great for Spurs (unless we are in for a drastic change of style-which I doubt)

I have today been informed of a 56m euro bid for the transfer of Damiao and Oscar, my source is a friend who works in brazil, buying and selling land for carbon credits, and he has just purchased a plot of land next to inter's ground, he has said it is common knowledge over there that both players will be leaving this summer and spurs are the only club to have made an offical bid. How true this is I don't know I'm just passing on the info.

The prices are way out qnd secondly bids mean nothing if the players dont want to come. Oscars agent has already said he will move to Chelsea and as for Damiao the player has already turned down Spurs before and no doubt is looking for a bigger club.

I actually think now is the time damiao will join us !

Question - Why in Euro's ??
Answer - Most of South American clubs businerss is done directly to Spain and Portugal for caltural, language and working visa/permit reasons. Therefor, they deal manyly in Euro's with these clubs, so they insist when dealing with British clubs that they do the same so that they know where they are so to speak. As we want their players, for continuaty reasons and because the mathes isnt exactly difficult, British clubs just do the same...
Hope this answers your querry!

Lambert (ex-boss at Norwich) likes him. Might be too versatile to sell though.

Sell Modric and place 40m for Damieo and Oscar

AVB having a look at him first.

AVB wants to see him for a couple of weeks before deciding whether to accept a 5 million poud offer.
Agree3

Just speculation. i expect him to stay as hes going to be good player in near future. No reason to sell him
Agree2
Disagree0
All speculation as usual. I reckon AVB is observing players in training currently to assess who will suit his system and who won't. We won't know who's going until he's made that decision. Doesn't make much sense in selling players who could still play a part and who may have qualities that were overlooked by the previous coach. Naughton would be good competition/cover for Walker in the right back position and has gained valuable premier league experience at Norwich.

Good post! Ive no doubt that AVB may have a wish list BUT how does he actually know who he wants to keep and who he is willing to move on without having a good look at the squad he inherited?
