I have been told that we aint in for Negredo at all. We are in for Willian and/or Zaha. I trust my source.

Does anyone know what the latest is on Lewis Holtby coming in January instead of the summer. I think he is a player we could really use for the 2nd half of this season!

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Holtby will be at lane by monday no other midfeilders will arrive but negrado a cert and maybe another front man if avb gets his own way !

Agree1 Disagree12

AVB said now is not the right time to bring holtby in, so looks like end of season

Agree7 Disagree1

I agree, now is not the time. Whilst he does look like the finished article i think he may struggle to break in to the first team whereas at schalke(spelling) he gets first team experience on a regular basis in a competative league he may not at the moment for spurs cos the midfield is very strong at present and we don't want him just warming the bench. brilliant prospect though.

Chelsea have been beaten to Taison by Shaktar. Does this mean that Willian is on the move? We've been linked heavily and Shaktar were playing hardball, but now they have a replacement, does this mean we have a clearer run?

Hi yods

I just want to ask you guys something.

I heard Tottenham is to offer £10 for Son Heung Min from HSV is that true?

Heard it from my korean buddy

Thank you.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Hi guys
Rightly or wrongly I have always thought of Asian footballers as a commercial deal, we all remember kazayiki toda right ?!?
But with this lad it's different, at 20 years old has scored over a dozen top flight goals in a ration of 1:3
He is not small, great feet and possibly a great no 3 striker

Hi Eds,

I hope you could enliten me. With the Sevilla president in London, are we sure he's trying to strike a deal for Negredo? And not possibly looking at selling Jesus Navas? He could be an alternative to Moutinho, Sneijder, Willian etc. Predominantly right wing, but can play through the middle very comfortably... Just me speculating, it might not be Negredo at all...

Dom {Ed002's Note - Navas is never going to move to London.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Ok, cheers, Just a thought.

Agree1 Disagree2

Navas suffers from anxiety and homesickness when he's away from Sevilla. Won't ever move abroad.

Eds in your valued opinions what are the chances we will sign negredo? {Ed002's Note - Sevilla's Negredo could be sold if a significant bid is made for the player. Chelsea had representation at an early December match against Espanyol in Barcelona although I understand Negredo only played for part of the game. They retruned to watch him again in the match with Real Sociedad before the holidays and have declared their interest in striking a deal for the player. There is also a chance that Arsenal may look to Negredo as an alternative to Adrian Lopez to avoid becoming involved with any "bidding war" with another club. I am not aware that the "well documented" talks with Spurs are any more than speculation at this time.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Who do you rate more Ed.. and guys?
Damiao or Negredo?
we need a strong.. targetman frontman! {Ed002's Note - I have no interest in "rating" players.}

Agree1 Disagree3

And why is that ed02? {Ed002's Note - I don't see any sense at all in doing it.}

Agree5 Disagree2

Its cos he is a chelsea fan {Ed002's Note - What has that got to do with it?}

Agree5 Disagree1

Surely the whole point is too rate players & say whether we'd like a particular player at our club

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want to compare Negredo with Damiao, it is like asking whether a Polar Bear would beat a African Bull Elephant, or a Tiger v an Nile Crocodile. The truth is it all depends on how they adapt to the Premiership, the culture, and the team formation. Put the bull elephant with his calf and let the olar bear attack the calf and you get a different proposition.

Anyway here is my best effort to help you;

Negredo
Height 1.86m
Left Footed
Spanish League
27 with massive experience in Uefa Champions League, Supercup, Europa League not to mention the top flight of Spanish football.
A true goal scoring machine with current season ratio of more than 1:2 goals:games. Even when playing for Spain has delivered a 1:2 ration with a career of 107:261 just under that ratio. A player how has matured with ages and just got better and better. Like the ball off the ground, great in the air and dangerous with linking layoffs around the box. Quick and able to capitalise from long balls, but makes Berbatov look like Ledley King when it comes to defensive duties.

Negredo would thrive as a true number 9 from the linking play of Lennon and Bale around the box. Is equally adept at getting the ball on his head in the box which would work from the large number of superb crosses. I saw a statistic showing that Spurs created 24.8% more chances for strikers than the 2nd best and almost 3 times the average. That sort of echoes just how poor Adebayor has been this season.

Damiao is a different type of player. He prefers the ball on the ground, but he can score with his head if required At 1.87m he is slightly taller and is right footed. His strengths comes from powering through off the back line and getting positional advantage over his opposition. Far less technically gifted as a player but can win the ball back and fight out a scrappy more physical game.

In summary what we need is either, as both would have out performed Adebayor. I would like to see if Damiao turns out to be a faster and stronger version of Alan Shearer, and at 23 it is worth taking a chance. Negredo would be another I would welcome, a true professional that I am sure would deliver.

Some Spurs fans are asking why we don't give Coulibaly a chance instead.
I haven't seen enough evidence to suggest Ceballos, Obika, Lancaster or Coulibaly are ready. Ceballos and Coulibaly look the most gifted, and perhaps they might follow Carroll and Livermore and break into the squad next season.

Damiao is coming, so forget about Negredo.

twitter says we have started negotiations with Inter over Sneijder.

any normal Tottenham fan know's that there is no chance Levy will pay the wages for him.
Hope your correct but can't see it to be blunt!

Agree8 Disagree2

Prob a very gd idea as there is so much bull on there lol {Ed001's Note - I gave up on 'news'papers for the same reason. I just found I couldn't believe anything said, so best not to look at it and get myself confused because even the truth seems like a lie when it comes from them!}

Agree3 Disagree1

I have no evidence but it feels like Sneijder would come to Spurs. He said today he's willing to take a pay cut, Spurs are a top English team, he would be a bargain (on lower wages), and if he doesn't take a pay cut he has to go to Turkey.

There doesn't seem to be any interest from Man U, City or Chelsea and I can't see him going to Liverpool.

It just feels like he might come to Spurs.

Agree4 Disagree3

I think the problem with signing w sneijder would be wages and tottenham don't pay the wages he's after

Agree6 Disagree0

Dont take my word for it but have heard a rumour that we have spoken to inter and the player about a possible loan deal till the end of the season then sign him full time, does anybody know if this is true?

Agree2 Disagree3

I think your own question has been answered by an earlier poster. You said sign him 'on lower wages', that's the reason I think only gala are in for him instead of any of the other teams mentioned.
I think his wages have priced everyone out of the market. I would be very surprised if spurs make any signings of note this window. My opinion only

COYMFS.

Agree3 Disagree0

A loan deal for the rest of this season, with the goal of getting CL for next year then sign him with CL money coming in next year would have some merit. Makes sense at least ...if wages can be resolved.

@COYS TTID

I would expect that he wage demands will be less as his options are low.

Are we still intrested in Zaha ed ? {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, yes, just not made any move yet. I guess he is not priority at the price he will cost, but that is just my opinion that last bit.}

Believable5 Unbelievable3

I agree at the price we would be looking at other players first and that could be a back up plan but Man United currently favs to sign zaha at the moment
