Anyone know what the story is with Iago Falqué Silva? Seems like he's got a lot of potential but never plays much. Also whats this about a us loaning him out? Isnt he already on loan to us? {Ed008's Note - He's currently on loan with a view to a permanent deal. I've heard if he plays certain amount of games it triggers a clause buying him outright i dont think that will happen. He's got potential and for me could become a good player. He cant be loaned out again.

Apparanelty we lodged a 7.5 m bid this evening For samba

Source?

Agree0 Disagree0

S**t source but the mail online reckoned we did ... Tottenham and Blackburn sites say nothing nor does sky sports news so it's probably bs sorry guys
Bear yid

Agree2 Disagree1

Wouldn't be too sorry, we're all waiting for it to happen, I actually removed the daily mail from my newsfeed today, just check article and see if it was written by 'sportsmail journalist' if so then 100% BS

I don't know what's happened to proper journalism these days. i use newsnow to check on all tottenham news, and i see a BS article appear in some paper like the mail, no sources and clearly made up, and then it slowly spreads 24 hours later the same story is in 15 or more websites worldwide, often word for word.

When are they gunna realise that we want actual news, if there isn't any then there isn't any, we don't want a constant stream of lies.

SSN at seven to be revealed Cahill deal has broke down again. Reason unknown at this moment. Maybe this oracle has it right or else he is just blessed with dumb luck

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Tick tock tick tock
nearly thursday and nowt on ssn

Agree1 Disagree0

I told you Cahill is in the bag, just a load of strategic moves for the press to enjoy. We are too streetwise for your games Mr AVB & Bolton Board. You may have fooled Wenger & Co with your manouvres, but not this board.

Your getting a poxy fee for your cheek and Cahill will slap AVB with a wet fish before heading over to the Top club in London.

The Oracle

Agree0 Disagree2

Looks like I got the time wrong but it's everywhere now talks broken-down. If Cahill doesn't sign today the deal is off. Tick tock tick tock

Agree0 Disagree0

Cahill in Bolton squad to play man utd some people are quick to shoot down rumours. Tick tock tick tock. I just wanna clear something up aswell I hope he does sign for Chelsea not us he is over rated and from what I'm hearing massively over paid £120,000 a week they can have him but still tick tock tick tock

Agree0 Disagree1

I do hope that all of those who were so willing to insult and ridicule me will soon realise that a wise man can often appear to fool in the company of fools.

On the Cahill front it seems Bolton tried to boost the transfer price with a dirty tricks campaign, but when Tottenham and others stepped back it has left Chelsea and Bolton exposed.

Cahill and his agent are a very trying pair and pushing hard for maximum wages. We have the situation tightly under control and the destination remains secure.

The Oracle

The oracle lol. mate you do know Terry will be banned soon and they desperately need a CB. Cahill is 100% going to chelsea.

SPURS FANS. we need the folllowing, CB (priority), KING we all love but its time to get our CB settled.. to go :
PAV - CORLUKA(wat a joke) - BASSONG , we can then sell bentley in the summer along with jenas. if my figures are correct we can touch £25mill for those players at least. bring in SAMBA & STRIKER, use the remainder balance to bump up modrics wages to keep him happy for another season.. the less we play around with the team the more stronger and developed i believe we will be next season.. also regarding january, has anyone mentioned KAKA loan?. dont rule that one out, dont forget its harry redknapp we are talking about.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Thanks for posting and speculating and contributing absolutely nothing. {Ed008's Note - He's expressing his opinion just like everyone else does here.

Agree4 Disagree0

Do we need a cb now? I dont think its critical we have daws, king, bassong, kaboul, gallas plus hudds carluka can play there, I would buy a right winger and forward and only if a decent player is available no rush for any stupid buys Remy seems the best deal pav to go other way. {Ed008's Note - King and Gallas Injury Prone Dawson just returned from a long injury and Bassong wants 1st team football which we cannot give. Yes we do need a CB a top class one!

Agree4 Disagree0

Don't sh*t on Corluka. He put in some very god time for Spurs, but I'll admit it's time to move on. Give him a proper sending off.

Agree6 Disagree0

Agreed.
linked up well with modric, and probably helped modric and nico settle at the club,as well as performing at left back for us.

Agree2 Disagree0

WHAT ARE U LOT DRINKING!!! OR SMOKING????

THE ORACLE
{Ed008's Note - I'm drinking a Capri-Sun and i don't smoke you ? Corluka is a decent player.

Agree2 Disagree0

Your comments regarding Bassong, Corluka, Pavlyuchenko are shocking. All are reserve squad players who have served well.

The defence situation is nowhere near as dire as you make out. Firstly let's decide if Dawson is the first choice long term solution, and I for one rate him highly. More interestingly Kaboul has become a beast at the back and has pace strength and the best aerial defensive ability I have seen. They should be the pairing and Caulker offers some future light. I think Ledley King needs to move to pay as you play next season, and Bassong & Gallas need to be sold and released at the end of the season. Cahill is coming to join Dawson & Kaboul, and Caulker will be introduced next season. The question is with all that said, do you believe that this would be ample cover to fight on multiple fronts? I don't believe it will and another CB like Vertonghen would be great.

On the striker front Damiao will change our attacking options. He will become the fulcrum upfront as Van Der Vaart and Defoe play around him. Adebayor could still join Damiao as the realisation that he is playing in about the best club he can possibly plays for. Sure he can cut his pride and join the exodus to China and Russia fir money, but I feel he desires the big stage more than most believe and nay still cut his financial demands. One thing is certain Damiao with any one of the three would be scary for any defence. Particularly when Bale, Lennon and Modric are all running at you as well.

Make no mistake January is key to our success this season and WE won't let you down. You'll get your little happiness and we will give you something to make you believe the dream is possible.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's WE now is it?

Agree1 Disagree0

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice the hidden message in this post? Our season, the we in caps?

I'm guessing this is a clue to the oracles identity?
{Ed008's Note - This could get interesting....

Agree1 Disagree0

Just another one of the 'mighty' oracle's mind games.

You have to give him credit as he is very well clued up and knows how to construct the odd sentence however WHEN Cahill signs for Chelsea he'll have two options;

1. Hide away and never come back.

2. Explain how the Spurs 'agreement' has collapsed due to the fact that we no longer want him therefore is left with a move to Chelsea.

I for one suggest that the latter is the most probable, however which ever one is the case, his views he expresses will no longer be looked at twice, i'm slightly looking forward to seeing his 'facts' crumble and the back-up story being an intelligent cover up, it will surely be an interesting read.

Would love a reply from the man himself.

The Yid

{Ed008's Note - Or he'll come back with a new identity and be reborn!

Agree1 Disagree0

Dear ED

Firstly please would you be kind enough to remove sabotage posts like the guy above that is writing in capitals and finishes his post signing THE ORACLE. You have my email address on all posts as validation and as such you should be able to remove little boys trying to be something more.

On the Cahill to Chelsea story you proposed three outcomes regarding my actions:

1. I would Hide
2. I would try to wriggle out with some excuse
3. I would come back under a new identity

Well let me add an alternative for you all. I will personally come back and admit I was wrong and apologise for my over confidence if that were the case. However I will bask in the rays of apology and bath myself in your acknowledgement that you had a legend in your company WHEN I am proven right. Then from that day you will listen and refrain from insults and abuse and realise that The Oracle is not quite the fool you thought he was.

In addition from that day of acknowledgement becuase of your doubting I will make you squirm and beg for the information which you will by then realise was so valuable.

Lastly on the Cahill front I thought you were all throwing tomatoes at me telling me I was a douchebag after you say he agreed to sign for Chelsea. The funny thing is I watched the news this evening and dont recall seeing Gary Cahill in a blue shirt !!

Keep throwing your tomatoes and soon you will have egg on your face.

The Oracle {Ed001's Note - I would delete the thread, as it was clearly an imposter, but you have obviously spent a lot of time on your reply so I will post it for you to have your say.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You sound so reassuring in your arguments and points you put across but how can you then explain the fact that we have had a bid rejected for Samba? This is not purely speculation, i know it to be a fact.

This would therefore illustrate that Cahill will be arriving at Chelsea, why would we try to sign both? It is not a safety net either as according to you the Cahill deal is done and dusted so why would we bid?

Also, to add more substance to your wild claims, why don't you enlighten all of us with dates to which you believe these deals will be completed? I'd love for some more inside knowledge from 'The Oracle.'

Regarding your comment about having egg on my face, it looks as if it's the reverse as it has been announced today that the Tevez deal to AC Milan has broken down. I remember you categorically declaring that he is joining them? This doesn't ooze being 'In the know' but more of a guess. So far you have been incorrect once, and correct a whopping 0 times. Let's see if this changes.

I will also publicly apologize to yourself if the highly unlikely occurrence of what you so arrogantly state actually happens.

'A legend' is a very strong statement, surely a 'legend' will be able to tell us some dates.

I look forward to hearing from you in the not so distant future.

The Yid

Agree2 Disagree1

Dear 'The Yod'

When the American President sent troops into Iraq did he know the exact date, when you sign players things are agreed like when buying a house. You need to then wait for the searches, paperwork etc to be finalised and agreed. Are carpets included, will light fixtures remain, are White goods included, even the turf in the garden. Only then can completion happen, but rest assured an agreement to buy and sell has been there all along. Believe the press hype that are usually wrong, and frequently pick 33 clubs interested.

The Oracle {Ed002's Note - Clutching at straws then?}

Agree0 Disagree2

The Oracle,

As Ed questioned, so you're simply clutching at straws to when this deal actually happens?

I also would like to point out how you completely avoided my comments regarding the Samba and Cahill saga, not to mention that you dodged your inaccurate prediction of Tevez going to AC Milan.

This therefore allows me to come to the conclusion that you know next to nothing, sure you may be knowledgeable in the housing market? transfers however? not so much.

I appreciate your attempts and controversial views but maybe now everyone will start to realize that you are just an intelligent man/woman who's guess is as good as anyone's, so please stop reassuring everyone that you are 'In the know.'

The Oracle, you repeatedly tell us 'facts' and they are, on the whole, a load of tosh. Unless you're a closet Arse-nal fan then i don't see the point in this.

In my opinion 'Arry needs to get Samba, Hoilet (we need cover for both CB and RM/LM) and also, arguably most importantly, we need a striker.

Ade won't sign in the summer and Pav is certainly not good enough, if Vdv stays at the Lane then we need two top class strikers, to which JD will be playing second fiddle to.

I'd love Higuan but i doubt that will come to fruition, Remy + Ba ? I'm not sure, but what I am sure of is that Cahill WILL sign for Chelsea and not us. We need to get rid of Pav, Corluka, and Bassong in this window, and we need to bring in Samba, Hoilet and a top class striker...In Levy we trust.

The Yid
{Ed008's Note -Totally Agree!

Best post in ages mate !

Agree3 Disagree0

I've been looking on here for weeks but finally mustered up the courage to post, so be gentle.

The Yid

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Dembele would be a class signing. Can play anywhere in midfield and is decent cover for Luka Modric if he gets injured.

Azza

Agree2 Disagree6

Azza
Dembele isnt a playmaker he's more of a second striker type player therefore he wouldnt be ideal at all as cover for modric

Agree3 Disagree1

So what do you have for us?

Agree0 Disagree2

Samba and Hoilett are nowhere near the quality we need, just more numbers and we have enough of them already
Harry is right far better to get a couple of quality players that are first team quality rather than back up than just add numbers. We need a striker, a cb and a winger for now but much better than Samba and Hoilett level and better to just get one ot two real quality players than to make sign short term that need to be moved on in summer

Agree2 Disagree3

Bang on mate, and i thought i was alone with my opinion of samba. I really dont know who we should buy, there are many players who we could do with but im not going down that road because this aint fantasy football. i think a few guys on here need to be realistic, the kaka's, higuain's and beckham's are on far more money than spurs are willing to pay so it wont happen, i mean, city are paying 60% of adeybayor's wages! im still waiting to read about luka's new deal, 100k? i cant see it happening. Until we start paying the wages the "top" clubs pay then i think regular champions league is a dream

rufus

Agree1 Disagree3

IF WE SIGNED DOMBIA WE WOULD WIN THE LEAGUE {Ed008's Note - Not sure about that we have to play 38 games first....

According to SSN, Cahill will sign today - FOR CHELSEA !

Sorry Oracle.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

You seriously never thought the Thrush was going to predict anything right did you?

Agree3 Disagree1

11 Jan 2012 00:14:12
Who would be the best short and or long term option for us at striker? ( realistic option not Higuian as amazing as that would be :( and excluding ade of course)

Huntelaar? Cisse? Ba? Remy? Damiao? or someone who I haven't thought of?

Personally I'd go for the Hunter. {Ed008's Note - Huntelaar for me. Proved goalscorer his record speaks it for itself. Ba is also a good option at a decent price.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

3rd down for hunter, he is a quality ( attempting not to say klass ) finisher and a good footballer who would fit really well in our system I think. Can we get some of the spurs higher up's to look at this thread and take note? :L

steed

Agree2 Disagree4

Huntelar is a goal expert just like soldado & bent the problem I have with them is for what u pay for them u get little else, none of them can hold ball up like ADE & if u watch them closely outside the box they lose possesion frequently, There one dimesional & have to have ball played infront of them to get best out of them. You need to have more about. Ye to cost over 20ml in my opinion.
I wouldn't say no to doumbia, cisse llorente negredo or Adrian

Agree2 Disagree0

^^^^ haha if your not gonna use that pun, i am! I'd rather have Hunterlaar, because he is klass. BAM. also, dont mind little remy.

Agree2 Disagree0

Klass is very slow tho, that would be my only worry it would be like playing with two vdvs. If we sign someone from outside the prem in January it's a massive gamble, best to wait Till the summer. Ba is the only realistic option

Agree0 Disagree3

Huntelaar is a goal poacher, but not a good footballer all around.

Agree0 Disagree2

Plenty of decent options Negredo, Llorente, Nilmar, Huntelaar, Lisandro, Berba back would be great but Leandro seems to be the choice depending on competition and they price they want to pay

Agree1 Disagree0

I would personally keep with Pav and Defoe untill the Ade situation is resolved, Who is to say Remy,Hunterlaar is any better?

Agree1 Disagree0

How impossible is Cavani? I think he'd be pretty good

Agree4 Disagree0

For me I would like remy and damiao I could see that being a lethal partnership. I wouldn't take the gamble with ba too risky! huntelar I'm not a big fan of as has been said before very one dimensional and too expensive

Yido81

Agree1 Disagree0

Surely DAMAIO is the one; the video clips I have seen make him look a top player for now and our future. Built for the Prem, I would love to see him in our shirt

Agree2 Disagree0

Anyone consider Mario Gomez...if we are gonna spend in excess of 20 mill for a striker why not go the whole hog and get a decent one.

Kalrez

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd like an answer to that question. . .how impossible is Cavani.

he would be PEEerrrrrfect!

zer0logy

Agree2 Disagree0

Cavani moved to Napoli 6 months ago and is on quite a high wage. Very doubtful a move in Jan (probably the best time for us to buy a striker as we are just not scoring enough goals in my opinion). and if we could offer champ league football in summer I also agree he would be a great player. but would we be able to offer £100,000 a week in wages?

Naz

Agree1 Disagree0

18 months ago not 6,

but yeah I get your other points
