Eds, simple question, are spurs actually interested in Eriksen and Ajax team mate, Toby, wandered whether you had the simple answer?

WelshYod {Ed002's Note - You need to register, but yes there is a level of interest in the players. However, Eriksen is perhaps expecting to move elsewhere.}

Cheers Eds. would be great to get both in my view.

I was told 2 from Ajax - make that what you will

09.45 - Quite a bit of Tottenham speculation in the papers today, with the Daily Star Sunday claiming Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is the club's top target if Gareth Bale joins Real Madrid. The Sun Sunday reports Spurs will revive their interest in Blackpool winger Tom Ince if Bale leaves, while The People says Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao is a target, irrespective of the Bale situation. And finally, the Sunday Mirror claims Spurs want to beat Liverpool to the signing of Ajax duo Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld.

What a load of Tosh from the Sunday Mirror

Toby and Christian would be awesome and Tom ince would be a great addition, not too sure on Suarez as he doesn't fit into our wage structure and trouble follows him, we don't need him

Agree7 Disagree4

We'd better act fast then. Looks like Spartak have bid for Alderweireld already. If we got Eriksen, and Concentrao, it could be one hell of a season. assuming Bale stays

Clearly the Bale deal has already been agreed as Spurs continue to soar past the £60m mark. The link with Eriksen is absolutely brilliant, and I think he will rise to the very top of world football. The rumours of Alderweireld, Eriksen, Coentrao and the final touches around Capoue sound amazing.
I never thought I would be happy to see Bale leave, but at £100m it is beginning to feel like a massive step forward for the squad.

My only concern is that we seem to be linked with Chirchices and Alderweireld, and I hope Levy doesn't make a mistake and sell Vertonghen to Barcelona for £30m. I know we have Dawson and Kaboul, but Vertonghen is a world class star and which we can build upon.

Why would we need Tom Ince, we already have Townsend? It's time to give some our own a chance.

Agree11 Disagree3

Plus The Mirror claim that our deal for Capoue has stalled because of late interest from A Madrid and Capoue wants to see what they offer eventhough we its been known for a while tof their interest, typical Mirror.

Agree8 Disagree3

The mirror thinks we'd bid 15m for the pair when Ajax rejected 18m for Eriksen alone. Think that says it all about the quality of that report

Agree7 Disagree1

I think Townsend is the most underrated player in our squad and needs to be given more of a chance in the PL, we don't need ince. Why spend 8m on something we ready have?

the scousers can bid all they want for the ajax pair, but if we want them we can get them! eriksen has been holding out for a spurs move & I don't believe were that interested in alderweirald? as for suarez? great player horrible person, if we wanted him i'm sure half the bale money would be enough

Agree3 Disagree2

Dont see us buying another striker over 10M, especially since we haven't got rid of ADE or Defoe yet. AVB will either play a 4.2.3.1 or a 4.3.3 so don't see the point of benching 20M+ striker. Would prefer to see us buy a versatile wing and CM.

Agree3 Disagree1

Suarez and Eriksen would take us top 2 but would be happy with Coentrao, Capoue and Bale to stay although any new signings must agree to not growing a beard as starting to get silly now

Agree1 Disagree1

Biting Luis has already done a 180 on playing in the premier league. He'd be completely excoriated if he went to a non-CL team.

And he won't. He's on more (about 120K with bonuses) than we would pay and there's no reason to go to Spurs. Thankfully. Because, I for one, wouldn't want him anywhere near Spurs. Let him go to Woolwich and give me another reason to despise them.

Listening to avb interview after game last night on sky he seemed as he had washed his hands of the bale saga, said he won't be involved next sun or even called him by his name just the player, if he goes hopefully buy erkinson as replacement or another top striker
