Due to the deathof hi mother Levy will not be holding talks with Harry until at least Wednesday this week. It is expected that a new deal will be agreed by both of them. Harry wants 3 more years and Levy wants to give him an extra 1 year on top of what he already has. It is expected that they will agree a new year deal with both sides able to take up an option of the extra 3rd year if both parties are happy with the way things are going. Both men also expect Modirc to put in a transfer request which will be rejected but both are willing to sell him, for at least 45m to an english club or 30m to a club from abroad.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

No English team will pay 45mill for Modric, not a chance

Agree3 Disagree3

Then it looks like he's not going to an English club. What a shame

Agree7 Disagree2

Talkin rubbish

Agree2 Disagree3

Had it on good authority that Levy will not settle with Harry. Levy is not happy with and refuses to be bullied by stretford so unless Harry backs down he's off

Ok Spurs fans - this is it:-
Bale - will stay, at least another year.
Modders - will definately leave, but for at least 34m.
Vertonghen will finally sign later next week, the deal is done, image rights and payment terms are holding things up.
HR will be pushed towards the door, AVB is the man Levy wants if he can convince him.
A new playmaker (no target names, as those that we want won't come due to CL or wages, hoping to identify a new up and coming Modric from the Euro's) and two new strikers will arrive. One experienced ie Remy and another less well known. Ba will not sign for us. Defoe will not leave. Gomes, Bentley, Bassong, Pineer and Gio will all be aloud to leave at slightly more realistic prices - Sherwood has perswaded Levy to revamp the squad and reduce the hangers on and dead wood, expect most if not all to be gone by August.
Despite a lot of hype, hope and expectation - it will be another disappointing transfer window.....

Very pessimistic opinion!! Thats all it is i'm afraid - your opinion!!

Agree6 Disagree5

I assume this is just your opinion, or you are gonna tell us this amazing source or like most on here, no source, just fabrication and opinion

Agree6 Disagree2

Like you, this is just my opinion.
Harry will be going nowhere
If he was going, he would already be gone.
Just cos he opens his mouth doesn't mean he will be pushed out.
DL knows, in my opinion again, that 3 top 5 finishes, in the toughest league in the world, is not to be sniffed at.
He cannot blame HR for not spending and wrapping 3rd place up.
I'm starting to think that he won't offer HR another contract tho or maybe just 1 more year.
We need to push on. Signings I mean. Nit a complete over hall of management

Agree3 Disagree4

Maybe 'opinion' is the new buzz word lol

Agree1 Disagree4

There are some ground to these reports, but only time will prove whether i am correct or not - we have known for three years that we need a top striker and despite the fact that we attract all the top names, we have consistantly failed to secure one - basically, because Daniel Levy will not break the bank for anyone.
Adebayor scored 17 goals last season, which bearing in mind he is supposed to be a top striker, is not that great an achievement - particularly as at least 6 were penalties. Don't get me wrong, his work rate is top class, but too much out on the wing - you can't do this when you play 1 up front. He is not the man to THFC, despite the fact that DL will not pay him 170k a week. Furthermore, having lost out on CL football next season, the new stadium will be put on hold and won't be started until next year at the earliest.

Agree14 Disagree3

Again mate. Just your opinion.
No sources

Agree2 Disagree2

To the first post, we need to be more optimistic! I have said it once and will say it again, why would we let modders go for less the £40m? That's what was offered last time so why go for less money?
Levy is not stupid!
Rosco {Ed004's Note - Who will pay 40 million for Modric this year. I can see Spurs getting around 30 million for Modric with maybe some add on clauses.}

Agree3 Disagree5

To Ed004 - It doesn't matter if nobody will meet the valuation as Spurs are under no pressure to cash in on Modric. He has 4 years left on his contract as far as I am aware and we don't want to sell him. Yes the player wants to leave for CL and we respect that, but players do understand that the club valuation must be met. It would be a result for Levy if he agreed to let Modric go but then he didn't leave because nobody met the valuation. Then Levy could say to Modric that nobody wanted him as much as spurs wanted to keep him, and Modric would have to get on with things.

If he had one year left on his contract then yes we'd have to accept a lower offer to cash in, but we don't.

Wulf. {Ed004's Note - I believe you will get a fair amount for Modric but I can not see you getting anywhere near 40 million if I am being realistic. That is just my opinion on it...}

Agree4 Disagree2

The point being we still don't need to sell him. If my house is worth £300,000 and someone comes along and offers me £300k for it why should I move? I'm happy with my house however if they offered me £400k then I might think about it. Modric is a one off you can't get a copy of him, a different player yes but to get Modric you must tempt the club! He still has 4 years to run next year it will be 3 that's when we need to start thinking about shifting him. He threw his toys out last year where did that get him. We are in an incredibly strong position on this.

Agree4 Disagree4

Perswaded. lol

Agree3 Disagree2

To clarify my agree I'm in agreement withwulf not ed

Agree3 Disagree0

We could always do what the goons do and allow the contracts to run down so they walk away for nothing. All the time telling their own fans that everythings ok! Haha

Agree0 Disagree0

You are deluded if you believe that, players are holding all the cards & power. no club in the right mind would attempt to hold onto a player who is unhappy or unwilling to play for the club. we have heard that various clubs will leave a player to rot in the reserves, but this has never happened and won't with Modders. he will be allowed to leave, but |Levy will play hardball with any perspective buyers - that is what he is very good at! BUT HE WILL LEAVE for in the region of 32m plus add ons meaning 34/35m. Levy want a quick decision on HR, as he wants the new man in place shortly to make the right buys and take the club forward for the next 5 years. Levy, is still of the opinion that he will get some compo for HR ie the Saudi's or Chelski - AVB is that man.........Zac

Agree8 Disagree2

Run down his contract? 4 years of Modric will be worth more than the alleged £30M fee if we qualify for the champs league just once off the back of it.

Agree1 Disagree0

To do what the goons do u need to be in the champions league

After much thought I've finally arrived at the conclusion that I want HR to stay. Better the devil you know in my mind, and although I have (vociferously) called for his head at some points I think it would be better if we kept him on. Just my 2 cents.

Believable13 Unbelievable5

Finally someone talking sense!

Agree5 Disagree2

Can't see why anyone wants him gone anyway. Got 4th this year and had chelscum not won the champions league (I say fair play to them) then we'd all be content. When there was talk 'arry was going 2 be England boss everyone I know wanted him to stay... then again I wasn't on this website at that time so could be wrong.

Anyway if we get rid of him I can just see us getting in another Ramos and we'll have 2 start over. Just my opinion and hope you negative lot will get behind 'arry!!

Agree6 Disagree0

Despite not thanks too.
he has been an absolute disgrace with regard to his over running mouth, even yesterday working on the bbc he couldnt help himself,"we could win the league" "weve never had it so good" "we were lucky to finish 4th" "id have taken the job" "i dont know how to place a bet" "im working for a bookies" the guy is not what the spurs need.
modern football is more than just the starting 11, some media soundbites and a few hooky deals,mr redschnapps, your fired.

Agree2 Disagree4

When the blabbering fool talks just ignore him, easy! Ultimately he's done a very good (not great) job, i say let's stick with him and just put up with the "me me me" media love in!

Agree2 Disagree1

Just unbelieveable, harry states he would have taken the england job, then gets the hump cause spurs wont offer him the deal he wants, talk about cake and eat it

Agree2 Disagree1

Honestly we need to keep Redknapp, it is vital that we don't look like another Chelsea and start sacking managers when things don't go our way. We finished 4th and that was the start of season target! Keep him and grow him to be a long standing manager like Ferguson and I hate to say it Wenger! Levy give HR the deal and don't change things that work!
Rosco

Agree3 Disagree1

After much thought ive finally arived at the coclusion that i dont care about your opinion as its pure drivel, unless your an advisor to the club i couldnt careless what you think

Agree2 Disagree1

I like turtles

Agree4 Disagree1

Absolutely agree with the original post (although i always wanted harry to stay). i find it pretty funny that some people want him gone, seemingly only on the basis of what he says in the media. personally i think it's what happens on the pitch that matters and we've had our best premier league seasons with harry.
good point from Rosco, it simply doesn't work sacking managers again and again, especially when they hit our targets, 4th place. we need some one for the long run and if he keeps us progressing and his heart holds up (hope so) longevity will be good for stability and retaining players.
funny how anonymous above states how he doesn't care but evidently cared enough to put his meaningless two cents in - so constructive! if you're looking for a club advisor you're probably on the wrong site mate.
COYS!

Love the way your all focused on the champions of europe and not you self get your own house in order you blow it not chelsea

Agree3 Disagree3

There are no gettable better options than Harry, we'd be stupid to change at this point
