Eriksen, Opare, Benteke, Ranocchia all wanted and bids for Pjanic and Chadli already made so say the press so everybody relax!

The same press that also said David villa was in the bag lol.

Internacional de Porto Alegre director of football Luis Cesar Souto de Moura has revealed the club have turned down a bid for Leandro Damiao. Moura told Lancenet: "We received a 18million euros verbal offer from Napoli, according to the player's agent".

They want£21mill for him when villa want £25 for benteke, AVB has said he wants damiao wages won't be a problem. So why are we not pushing to get him! Just hope the striker situation is sorted soon so we can all breath a collective sigh of relief and get on with enjoying the summer! Being a spurs fan in the transfer window is bad for my blood pressure! Thank god for paulinho!

I hope Vertonghen and Dembele don't convince AVB that their Belgium team mate is world class.

There is no doubt he scored goals, and his age would imply he can still improve. Equally he is is tall, powerful, quick and can also head the ball. My concern is he has had one season of success, and whilst some showing some promise he is hardly a technical masterpiece. Lacking discipline and strays offside too often, tenacious but also very clumsy, and has lite ability to hold the ball up.

I know Aston Villa are a hellishly poor club, but that also raises concern whether he is looking good in a poor team. You could also argue he would get more support at Tottenham, and the comparative argument continues. Just remember Eicky Lambert scored 15 and actually had at least 5 more chances where he was unlucky, and I wouldn't want him playing for us.

My summary view would be to take a risk for £15m. He know he isn't going to get a better club than Spurs with first XI exposure. Equally Villa don't want a player with a transfer request pending, and they still have Bent. Some might argue that we should just pay £25m and get our man, I think caution is the better route as the risks are evident.

It wasn't so long ago Spurs were close to relegation & Villa were 6th three years running. Hellishly poor! we just don't waste money! You lot are just the ugly sisters of London - always too small to be as big as Chelsea & Arsenal!

Benteke will go to Liverpool after the sale is Suarez to who ever (dnt really care who).

I would have thought he would fancy european football so I can't see liverpool really

Liverpool do neither have £25-30m which aston villa want, nor do they have European Football on offer!

I hope so because he is not the at the level that we require at the moment but he would improve the Liverpool team no end! you never know he may even get them a Europa spot?

It's hard to believe that Benteke is better than Suarez. for 25m I'd take Suarez. not that I find him a particularly "nice" person.

Offer Suarez a way out of Kop & he'll bite your arm off for it!

of all your strikers only defoe broke the 10 goal barrier (11 goals in league 15 in total. ) that's the best striker u have got right now.

and thank you very much for your kind concern, but liverpool scored 11 goals more than u, top striker scored some 20+ goals, and even with without suarez, sturridge score 11 goals (same as your top striker) with in 10 games.

at least be realistic.
