{Ed022's note - brand new player profile on Junior Hoilett of Blackburn Rovers, linked with Spurs in recent times. He's available on a free in the summer so could perhaps be a good buy! www.player-profiles.co.uk - thanks all.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Wouldn't be a buy if it's free : ) .....
But agreed on the he would be a good signing ....
Perdantic spurs fan : )

Anyone on here in the know of harry's impending appointment as england coach? i have heard rumblings...not sure if its rumours or chatter..but the talk has happened unofficially

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I seriously doubt Harry will be fired.

He has worked wonders with our team over the past 3 years and yes it does look like his head has turned and it's showing on the field BUT would installing a new manager now make much of a difference? in my opinion, no.

Also would Levy fire Harry now when England are just around the corner from making an approach, and in doing so, giving us a quick 5 million in compensation in our back pocket? No again.

Levy will wait, and I think it is the right decision.

England should make announcement sooner not later. If harry goes i wouldnt mind paul lambert or brendan rogers as they have both done well and both get teams playing good football. Moyes would be ok but maybe to negative for us. Harry wont get fired. Levy fed up with being let down by foreign managers. We choked again harry has to accept some blame for that.

Agree2 Disagree1

Naz you are definately right there!

At the end of the season, who would you like to succeed Harry?

Jermain

Agree2 Disagree1

I don't think paul Lambert would be good enough for the job. We need a manager who knows how to win things like Jose Mourinho. I personally feel this is exactly what we are missing in a manager.
Jose Mourinho would be my number 1 choice.

Jermain

Agree5 Disagree3

I dont think mourinho will leave madrid. also key players want to leave for bigger clubs.

brendan rodgers would be your best bet.

Agree2 Disagree6

I can't remember where i heard it but Jose will step down as Madrids boss at the end of the season. His next destination is the premiership.

Jermain

Agree2 Disagree2

I fully agree with Jermain. I am not saying if we get Mourinho then we will be the best team in the Prem but I believe now is the right time to gamble. Man Utd are strong, City and Arsenal BUT they are not unbeatable and this is the weakest (by weakest I mean there is a chance of us wining the tittle). The Prem has ever been.

The top boys have slipped up a bit, where as in the past, the winning teams won the prem being a massive cut above the rest of the field.

We could only bring in Mourinho if we get Champions League.

Mourinho will bring a buzz to the lane no doubt and a tactical genius + man management skills.

His rep alone will not only bring in big players that can take us to the next step but also the likes of Bale and Modric will stay to work with him.

He likes Spurs, (he has said this himself) and with Spurs he would be remembered for winning the league. If he went Utd, he will always be in Fergie’s shadows, Doubt Abramovic having 50 billion pounds would grovel to mourinho just to win champions league, and there’s too much politics at Arsenal.

Would I like Mourinho? Yes, do I think it will happen? Yes, will it? I don’t know.

Bilic is also an option I like…

I heard that you might be looking to snatch dimatteo from chelski

I think you'll have to spend a lot of cash in the summer + promise a bigger stadium to bring in Mourinho. Looks to me like he wants to build a legacy like Wenger.

.. although this could make sense financially:

say £100 million net spend in the summer (transfers + wages + Mourinho), challenge for title and get to 1/4 final champions league. Become established title challengers/champions league. Elevate club revenue (prize money + commercial deals) to a higher level.

£350 million for new stadium (minus sale of WHL) to increase club revenue and increase club commercial income.

Levy sells the club and makes a good return.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would love to see Mourinho come to Spurs and finally give us the grit and belief we need to be winners and not just voted as playing attractive football. We've capitulateed in 3months and become the laughing stock of our rivals, particularly after yesterday now as well as messing up 3rd from a great head-start BUT....Man City look to be missing out on the Premier League title and this will surely be Jose's destination if Real wrap up La Liga. His profile is to move to a 'nearly' club or a very big club at a nearly stage with a particular competition (Inter in Champs League). All of them have had a large a pot of money to be able to buy big profile players and/or whoever he wants. He takes them to the next step and then goes and does it again somewhere else; Chelsea, Inter, Real, it all fits to come to Man City next and be the man that can get them over the line because £hundreds of millions hasn't done it so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont have the money to have jose onboard neither the players he would love to buy. No matter what good proposal it would be but sure he will look for a club where he can toy the money around like city .
