Not even a week into the transfer window and I'm bored already.
No movement at all and I can't see much in the immediate future. Its so disappointing, totally expected, but so frustrating. Conte knew after 2 weeks his squad was crap and must surely have told Levy who he wanted in. If we had any ambition we would already have had a couple through the door. Look at Barcelona, they knew they needed a forward, identified who they wanted and got him in 1st day if the window, no messing about with derisory offers and hoping to spend a month unsettling a player to get him a few mil cheaper! Even Newcastle are bringing players in, and Trippiervis miles better than anything we have incidentally!

Poch told them they needed to start rebuilding the squad …then we lurched around for a few years and watched the performances slide.
Now we have another chance with Conte …he has stated very clearly that the squad needs a major overhaul.
The question is will ENIC keep investing . it’s not like we haven’t brought in players . LoCelso, Sanchez and Ndombele being perfect examples but for whatever reasons none of them kick on or adapt to life in the premier league.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has flown to the Caribbean for talks with owner Joe Lewis over possible investment in the club and their transfer budget.
If the correct players become available I’m sure we’re going to spend big this window.
Be great if we could get Lamptey, Dusan Vlahovic, and Kessie.
Not convinced on that Traore no final product from what I’ve seen. If we can do a swap for Doherty, I’d take that.

I understand what the media is reporting. But Personally I find it difficult to believe Levy and Lewis are only just now discussing investment/ budget for the current transfer window.

I’m pretty sure Levy would have told conte what he can spend prior to his appointment, The only thing I can think of, is that they must be trying to release more funds. let's face it top 4 is there for the taking they must see that.! but they need to spend now as this lot showed their true colours the other night….

Following that logic, Lewis likely said no and Levy got on a plane to try and convince him otherwise …”we will loose conte and slide into mid table oblivion”.
