Won la liga with valencia, won champions league with pool, would have won the title with pool had alonso not left the summer after they went close and beat utd 4-1. not a better manager out there

Agree1 Disagree4

Hes as nutty as a fruit cake.

Agree0 Disagree1

Rumour has it that the Wheeler Dealer will accept England job next week. McLeish is tipped to take Spurs back where they belong.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a Liverpool fan i will always love Benitez but he's about as close as you could come to a polar opposite to Redknapp. Don't get me wrong he's a great tactician but if you look at the players he alienated while he was at Anfield...

Arsenal fan here. Now before you pull out your pitchforks and torches to drive the monster out of the village (yeah, I love metaphors, so what?) I'd just like to say that although I'm not, never have and never will be fond of your club, the way that people of stature within the game are calling forth 'Arry for the England job is just wrong. I know speculation in football comes around every day, but the last time an England manager was chosen by 'popular demand', so to speak, it was Kevin Keegan. See where that got us.

Yes, of course fans have every right to voice their opinions in an explicit fashion. However for a player to go public, whether it be via Twitter or spoken word, and say that they want so-and-so for their next coach isn't alright. If Redknapp does go, and if someone from the Spurs team came out and said '*insert currently occupied PL manager* for our next boss' then I feel sure that there'd be much more of an uproar. It's just because the papers and fans of England want Harry Redknapp that it seems decent for Ferdinand, Rooney et al to display their feelings in the public eye.

Don't know about you spuds but to me it seems like a very unjust way of doing things.

PS. While I'm here, yes - I think Scotty Parker should be the next England cap'n (if not then Joe Hart) and no - I'm not a Spurs fan in disguise.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

There all scared to death including wishere who has also voiced an opinion its good to know all the teams around us are scared. what a shame though that this is having an inpact on one of the best seasons we have had in years

Ive been thinking exactly the same gooner boy, managers think its "wrong to speak of other clubs players" but its ok to mention their manager?.........saying that redknapp himself didnt exactly rule it out, which says it all. what happens to joe jordan though? isnt he scottish?

Agree1 Disagree1

I would think Arry will want to take joe and kevin with him . The talk is it would take between 5 and 10 mill to get Arry , but all the other good managers are taken anyway so it would still cost the FA whatever . What about getting an older figure to work with Gus Poyet ?
Davo

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree - don't see how this isn't tapping up. If the same thing were said regarding a player the FA would be all over it.

I don't think the player are doing themselves a favour either. Imagine if, having called for Harry to be the manager:

1- Harry gets the job and drops one of the players who asked for him (e.g. Rio)

2- Harry doesn't get/take the job and the players have to face the new man that does!

Also as a mate pointed out to me, hwo is it that players are so non-comittal and evasive in their answers to interview questions on TV, but so definite and specific over twitter. Do they think the media isn't watching?

Jose mourinho will be the next tottenham manager.

Azza

Believable0 Unbelievable7

No thanks , cant afford him and the players he would want ! after Porto , he has always gone to club with money enabling him to buy team he needs !

Depending on what happens with the England job, if Harry goes for it who do you think will replace him? Many hopefuls want Jose Mourinho, but surely that won't happen. He enjoys flashing the cash which is something Spurs do not do. The wage bill is too low for him.
What do you think the chances are of maybe David Moyes taking over? Done an excellent job at Everton considering lack of funds, so imagine what he could achieve with a bit more money at his disposal.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

If he goes, which he will at the end of the season then gus hiddink should take ok over

rufus

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes mourinho or klinsmann if harry goes. i think it's to big for him to turn down sadly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brenden Rodgers

Agree0 Disagree1

Please not moyes ! Good manager of mid table team , used to working within tight budget yes but tactics are so negative . We would loose our flair players within a year !!
Davo

Agree1 Disagree1

I rate moyes, but we are at the next level now, need a manager that can take us to the nxt step.moyes would be a backward step.we deserve somebody such as hiddink,or mourinho,or somebody of that calibre, otherwise, all this will be wasted.

ESSEX YOD

Agree0 Disagree1

I think Moyes could be a great manager. Yes he has been with Everton the last few years, yes he has had a tight budget, but think about what he's done. He got Everton into the top 4 - since then only Redknapp and Mancini have managed to break into the top 4, and furthermore, he has finished, on average 8.5th. He gets lots of good buys, and could be a great manager. Ultimately, there are few better managers about that we could realistically get; Mouriniho and co would be expensive. After all, who thought Redknapp would be capable of getting us into the top 4.

Agree0 Disagree2

Who does brendan roger?

Agree1 Disagree1

Frand rykard if jose dosent come will do for me/ tk harry should show loyalty to us same as we have to him. but their was a tottenham before harry and their will be a tottenham after harry its thfc not hrfc

Agree3 Disagree1

I think we should take a punt on Joachim Low. Yes he has no Prem experience but he plays very attacking football, is young, and his record speaks for himself. Would be a big gamble but his stature would still be able to attract top players.

Naz

Agree1 Disagree0

IMO, moyes could be like our Hodgson. Great mid-table manager with no funds, but then doesn't do well at a big club with big signings. Apart from Fellaini, none of his major signings have been that successful. I think we can get Jose, but if we can't I would get one of these Bundesliga managers that all seem so young and talented. Or brendan rodgers

Okay.... We have a dilemma with arry and the England job.IF given he will take it but will soon get ruined as a manager and a man.
1. Every one loves Harry
2. Press will slaughter him
3. The team is just not good enough
4. Dnt go just stay were u are and enjoy the lane.

Hey guys liverpool fan here, wondering what you think about Harry... Personally I think it's bad players in the game are calling for him... He's still your manager at the moment, if he does leave though I would think you wouldn't be short of choices, might sound biased but I think Rafa would suit you a treat, his football knowledge is unbelievable, tactically genius, although he does do some strange things... And I believe if we had decent owners he would have won the
League for us.
Any thoughts?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Rafa ruined your lot..i think klinsman or jose would be options along with moyes.

Do you have any insight as to if Harry redknapp will take the England job ed? {Ed001's Note - nothing outside of my own thoughts mate. I doubt it would affect Spurs getting top four this season either way, nor would it really have a big effect on Spurs long term future, in my view. Spurs are in a good strong position right now, I don't think they have to worry about him staying or going myself.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If he went now, it would kill us, but if he went at the end of the season after finishinmg top 4 we would probably be alright
