If anyone gets a chance to watch sporting Lisbon v City match later keep an eye-out for Matias Fernandes he's a cracking little player & would b well worth spurs signing as competition for lennon & vdv. He would definately improve our ability to take set-pieces & has good dribbling skills,plus can open up a defence with a pass.
He might not b Hazard ( who is a bit of a wh**e & will probably end up at who pays him the most) but as an alternative who's cheaper & would cost around 8 ml mark leaving money to b spent on a couple strikers & cb he would b well worth a punt.

In reply to joost, There's not a spurs fan that condones diving as It's not the tottenham way. By your personal attack on gareths appearance & non mention of Arsenal player on your list which there are many that could b included Itake it your a Gooner so all I'll say is people in glass houses. Which club put a statue put a statue of a cheat outside there ground? Yes the GOONERS, whatever bale has done is nothing compared to what Thiery got away with. Do u forget him handling the ball twice deliberately to cost Ireland a place in the world cup.
If u care to watch bale penalty against the goons in the run through bale is been fouled outside the box with arsenal player hands all over him so in my view he should of went down outside the box & arsenal player would of been sent off legitametly.

This is absolute bull yeahh no player is completely clean but bales making a habbit of diving when he loses the ball. i saw him doing it against lp and arsenal. when eduardo did it he was banned and bale needs one now.

I must admit bale is certainly starting to look very unsteady on his feet lately but i think it comes with the territory, look at messi, ronaldo and gerrard, all world class players but they are all partial to a face plant. its down to the amount of tackles flying in to stop them playing, therefore a dive may be the only way of saving them from injury. I wouldnt panic though gooners, there isn't one world class player in your squad so the chance of diving is slim........

I agree with everything the above poster says except not a single world class player in the arse squad .... RVP ... Is world class I'm a die hard spurs fan but will admit RVP is pure frakking class .. And .. I'm not saying id rather him but Sagna is also a brilliant player ....

GARETH BALE is a disgusting little man, in every sense of the word, especially in appearance. Is there no depths he will sink to? Diving against Arsenal last weekend to 'win' a penalty, diving against Liverpool on the touchline to run down the clock. Both 'successful' dives were from NO CONTACT whatsoever from opposition players. Thats right zero contact, nilch, nought, zip, zot, nil, nada!! To compound matters he then decides to test his diving skills against lower league opposition in Stevenage Borough to make sure he has this in his repertoire also. Please leave The Premier League and take yourself off to Spain or Italy where that kind of behaviour isn't frowned upon you disgusting kid.
Since the topic is diving there must be honourable mentions for Ashley Young, Charlie Adam, Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney. These characters aren't quite in Bale diving territory yet but they are getting there. Phil Dowd/Mark Clattenberg :- stop trying to be the footballers friends and getting phone numbers off them and book the lot of them for their disgusting behaviour.

Stats show Bale is one of the most fouled players in the premier league , and Your dfender was pulling him all over the place before your GK upended him . Most of this diving comes from the south americans and the french , and your manager started the trend of bringing them over !!

Very quick with the condemnation my friend. Personally, I listened to the game and both commentators pronounced it a cast-iron penalty, and declared it an easy call for the ref. When you watch the attached clip, instead of jumping up and down on your hobby horse, you'll see that the defender clearly kicks Bale's foot. But I guess you'll not even bother checking it out for fear of being put back in your box. Probably a Gooner.
